@mam564 There are so many styling products that protect you hair from heat. Dry Bar makes a wonderful heat protectant hair spray. It’s for use on dry hair prior to using curling irons, etc.

Agree, summer is more casual because we wear less clothing....meaning no third layers like blazers and sweaters depending on where you live. Where we live in the South the heat and humidity is stifling sometimes and my hair is going up one way or the other!! lol These looks are perfect this time of year and would love to see more if you have them! Exactly!!! I think we are freer to show most casual looks too. Yes, the humidity just screams get me off my neck. It is one reason I wear my hair longer actually so I can get it up and it will be long enough to not fall down. awww, thank you so much for this. Much love.

Hi Melissa I wear my hair up more often in the warmer weather also. I have curly hair and love a claw clip (I have them in a variety of colours and textures😂) and also little clips with sparkly stones or some other decorative touch to add interest to my updo. With curls in the Summer frizz is a constant factor 😂 and tucking your hair into an updo really helps. I had a big chop recently (around six inches off the length ie from mid spine to shoulder length), so it’s the shortest it has been for at least 15 years 😂, but still long enough to tie up. I had some extreme hair loss last year due to nutrient deficiencies from my current gastrointestinal issues, so I needed a big chop as it was a lot thinner at especially the ends. I have a ton of new shorter hair coming in though thankfully. Best wishes x

You have such pretty hair. I’ve had short hair for years. I’ve tried to let it grow but with my health issues it just got so thin and honestly, I looked like driving Miss Daisy when it was chin length. Looks thicker in a pixie cut but boy I miss having hair. Younger me had hair like Eva Longoria but even nicer.
My hair has been affected from the cancer and hormonal changes so I don't use the curling iron too terribly much. I had short hair for years and years. It sure it easier. Love to you and take care!!! And thank you.

I always think - I wish this messy bun thing existed when I was in junior high and high school - it would have been so freeing to not fool with your hair for 40 mins each morning! Back then I had the "wet look" mullet (cue gag reflex) and shoulder length that I set on hot rollers. AND I also wish I had a resource like TH-cam to learn makeup then too, LOL - we had teen magazine..... and truthfully, I still haven't figured out how to line my eyes without looking like a hooker. ~~. I can stretch it to two. After that I slap my hair in a ponytail. Some help would be appreciated. Love you, Lucy

Melissa, the last one with the curls with the wand, I have longer hair than you and I do the same thing. And my curls look amazing and people compliment me all the time. Your hair is shorter than mine and it looks amazing as well. The color is gorgeous. You are gorgeous. I am only envious of how beautiful and beautiful you look. You always look beautiful Melissa. I cut my hair to a chin length bob for the summer. I never really liked my hair up even when I was young. When Sept. comes around it will be at the top of my shoulders again.
I think bobs look cute with the hair kind of twisted up in a clip. I would do that when my hair was that length and a lot of the pieces that fell out were kind of cute I thought. I hope you are well and thank you!
