I do this breathing session every morning on waking. It's helped me get through morning anxiety left over from Covid lockdowns and heal my lungs from asthma. I start my day feeling revitalized, smiling and ready to take my goodness out into the world! 💛🌟 🤗 Sending love. Light and gratitude from Australia. Peaceful blessings to all 🙏🕊️ 🙏
Thank you, your emphasis on mindfully focusing on the form and less on just the function of sucking in air made it feel less like a “method” or exercise and more like a meditative practice.
From Huberman lab we have the information that breathing technique elevate the level of dopamine more than meditation - and I will add 'if you do it in mindful way'!
I totally agree... bizarrely when meditating on the breath like this a two minute retention is possible...but it's not the focus...facing my emotions is
i was coming down with something real bad and started doing the practice. did about 100 rounds "no joke^^" and said to myself i am not getting sick, fell asleep, and when i woke up i almost completely got rid of the sickness. the whm is some of the most legit info i recieved in my life.
Thank you for this beautiful video. My beloved dog passed away yesterday after a cruel battle with lung cancer. This video let me feel at peace, almost like he was back with me in the breathe hold in the later rounds. Thank you
Today when I did this breathing, when you said take it all in... everything you are, everything you can be... it made me cry while holding my breath. I felt so happy about myself that it made me cry. You bring some good energy, I love it! appreciate your videos, Kitaro! Thank you!🖤
Dude, just wanted to let you know that from Brazil and Portugal and beyond I want you to be happy and to succeed. You help me so much, and that is what impelled me to have good feelings of love towards you. I am thankful for your existence.
Thank you for this slow and relaxed guided breathing session. I’ve been having trouble with tension in my shoulders and neck while practicing WHM breath work and this has caused me to feel trepidation when approaching my daily session. Your calm and gradual approach in this video helped me to completely let go of this tension, appreciate the process and feel both calm and energized afterwards. I believe your suggestion to “fill up your cylinder “, simultaneously filling belly and chest, is key to the absence of tension in my shoulders. I’ll revisit this video frequently.🙏🏽
Good Afternoon Sir, I've been looking forward to test driving this new offering ever since I noticed it. As usual, it did not disappoint. I want you to know how much I appreciate your thoughtful and well produced videos which make effective breath-work available to everyone of every level; a deep and humble bow. Also, I recently joined the Breathwork-Library and couldn't be happier with the full range of excellent videos you have assembled for the growing breath-work community. Highest Regard, ~ Richard
I can't thank u enough for ur work.. The way u explain the Wim Hof breathing technique..very very helpful for a beginner! My endless appreciation to U for all these beautiful contents! 😊💕👏👏👍👍Ur channel is my FAVOURITE!❤ 🎖️🎗️
It is amazing how good your videos are, your voice is calming and the way you guide through the respiration is great! Please, keep doing them, as you've helped me a lot to understand the Wim Hof method better and to be motivated everyday!
Is it possible to add audio of your actual breathing into this video? You're an awesome teacher and I'm one of those many students who finds it helpful to follow a presented pattern. Blessings and Respect from Canada 🙏🍁✊🏽
Yes, some kind of rhythmic sound coinciding with each inhale & exhale is crucial for this. Taking deep breaths for a prolonged period is very challenging!
@@kristinablissI like how it encourages to follow our own gut instinct on the breath....I guess everyone's different. I think he's giving us space for discovery in our minds
@@oliverbird6914 Good point. You're right. I often feel pushed with the pace coaching. Nevertheless, I think it's the only way I can breathe past the habitual clenching of the heart constricting my breath which for me is the main point of doing it. Perhaps once I work that out this would be more fitting for me.
@@kristinabliss I hear ya. I don't like being pushed in the pace...I find this great because it forces you to be with yourself and the breath which I find unnerving but very necessary. I find I've got into better relaxation with this and my retentions are surprisingly long
Greeting to you too. I’m also from Australia and have been doing 5 rounds every morning before rising, for four years. I have never been unwell since doing these sessions. Peace and harmony to you.
Thanks Kitaro. I am grateful and amazed how the simple act of breathing , following your instruction, has strengthened my lungs and general well-being. ❤🇻🇬⛩
OMG Kitaro, this practice has made a profound difference in my life! I practice every morning and am now able to deal with PTSD triggers more easily. Your thoughtful messages and guidance have been extremely helpful and healing. A million thanks for your kind generosity and wisdom ❣
Sir, Namaste! I'm so fortunate to have stumbled upon your channel. Very grateful for this mindful practice. Never had I experienced anything like this in my previous practices. Thank you very much! Going to come back everyday to this video.
@@KitaroWaga I started with Wim's video and I was sticking to Wim like a child with mother's skurt, I was afraid to let go, I suppose untl I 'grow up' in my breathing technique😊! Now I tried my session with you and I must say - the essence is the same but it suites me better to work with your video, I didn't pause it in any moment and it's just perfect for my breathing session! I’ve been doing the wim hof guided session here on TH-cam for a while now and been enjoying it. But this one lead to my most intense body buzz I’ve ever experienced. Thanks for putting this together.
I've been a fan of Wim Hof before he was popular. This video has changed my life again, I use it every night. You really have discovered the right amount of increases for me, and it just works very well for me. The high is like no other. #addicted Thank you
Thanks Kitaro. I have followed your tutorials daily for more than 12 months. These longer sessions are now so pure. For me they are regenerative meditation. Thanks Kitaro ❤
You are an amazing beautiful person. I thank you for your contributions to breathwork! An amazing session, I live the gradual increase in breath holds.
Thank you for this superb Wim hof guided mediation. I loved the room, lighting, music, the posture, and your voice. It was really beautiful to hear your prompts. Keep up the fantastic contributions
Thank you Kitaro! Ive noticed you don't add the squeeze of the abdominals during the recovery breath after retention. Do you ever incorporate this into your personal practice? Also wanted to get your thoughts on why you dont include this into your videos. Always looking to learn more. Thank you sir your work is truly appreciated.
I agree, this interests me as well, since on the original Wim Hof method videos the abs' squeeze on recovery is included (this is how I first learned WHM breathing).
Thanks again Kitaro. In your newest video you commented on visions of bright lights. I experienced this initially with the Wim tutorial. it was a pulsating peacock blue sphere , pulsating with the same rhythm as my heart. When l did that belly a yellow internal sphere appeared , then a white sphere. I didn’t seek it . I still see these images daily with your calming breath work and l understand why you don’t encourage the belly squeeze. Thanks for this tutorial . For me it’s pure breath work perfection. ❤🇻🇬⛩
Hey, all you Wim Hof method practitioner in the comments. I have a question regarding your personal experiences. I've been practicing this breathing for about a year now. But I'd like to know two things : - Personally, during the deep breathing phase, if I take all my inhales through the mouth, I can almost double (even triple sometimes) my retention time, compared to a nose breathing phase. I see Kitaro doing his breathing entirely through the nose while still being able to hold it for several minutes. If I use the mouth, I can hold my breath for 3 minutes, no problem. Whereas through the nose ... A single minute is a big achievement. - An other thing : It's almost impossible for me to do this method lying down : inhaling gets more difficult, and my retention times are ridiculous, whether I use the nose or the mouth does not matter much. I need to sit down, or I just won't do much. I'd like to know what you guys have been experiencing regarding these two things. Thank you all for your feedback !
I have been doing Wim Hoff for 2 years. Initially with Wim for 12 months. Since moving over to Kitaro breath holds are effortless. I do exactly as he does. He’s a master. There’s purpose in everything he says. I have trust in him and therefore it’s easy . I have not been unwell at all in 2 years.
Thanks for your feedback. But my questions to you are : is it better for YOU to lie down while doing it, or to sit down ? Is it better for YOU through the nose or through the mouth ? I'd just like to hear about people's personal experiences.
For me lying down gives much better breath. I got a quite big belly and sitting will limit how much it can expand. Also, it requires a bit of effort to stay sit, while by lying down I can just surrender my whole body and fully relax.

I do exactly as Kitaro. Lying down and mostly breathing through the nose . Sometimes through the mouth for exhales on rounds 3,4 &5.
