      Echo, also known as reverb (if you search for it), isn't currently an audio effect in Camtasia. Our audio software has an effect built in to remove reverb, but not add it. Audacity may have that and it's a free tool.

    "Volume leveling" is not present in Camtasia 2020, I see Auto-noramalize loudness, ok, but... is not enough is possible activate that function? Or import to program? Thank you!!!!!! Great video!

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure what leveling you're not finding available in Camtasia 2020. If you click on the clip, and go to adjust the volume you will see the handles appear just as in the video above. There's not a new effect if that's what you're looking for, but we didn't take that feature away. I hope that answer makes sense. Let us know if you have any questions!

      Have you tried the audio effect labeled "Audio Compression"? That might do what you're looking for. You'd probably have to apply it to each individual clip, but if you Select All and drag the effect it may work. Or, export your audio, then RE-import it as one .wav file and apply the effect.

      You can find "Audio Compressor" in the Audio Effects tab.

    Hello, my Camtasia does not have an audio line. It seems like every video about camtasia has an audio line or is on a PC which is not helpful for me. I have a macbook and I have this version: 2.10.8 (91893). All I need is basic audio leveling.... I don't understand why it's so hard to do and not intuitive... how do i do this on a macbook with the version of camtasia that I have?

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The rules should be the same/similar for Mac (most of our team uses a Mac). You've recorded audio (or imported audio) and can't find it on your timeline? There's not dedicated audio track in the timeline if that's what you mean. Any track can be an audio line. If you're looking to make adjustments to the audio in your timeline, just click it for the adjustment line to appear. Double-click that line to add keyframes, or go into the Properties panel to make adjustments. Hopefully this is helpful.

      @@techsmith What I mean is there is no green shadowy line I can adjust on the audio track. I have to adjust each aspect of the audio manually in the little boxes rather than clicking and dragging that green shadowy line. And from what I can see there is no audio leveling... i've had to create small clips and lower or raise the volume on the track... i was hoping there would be a way to just keep all sounds at relatively the same level. Thanks...

    After doing Separate Audio and Video, if I want to Merge/Combine new audio with the same video as previous that means Audio and Video will be attached together in Track 1, then how can I do that?

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      While you cannot technically connect the new audio with the video, you can combine them into one track by highlighting both of them, right-clicking, and then selecting "Group." Not quite the same as reconnecting, but it's a quick trick that will get you one single track.

      Make sure those audio clips aren't on silenced or muted tracks in your timeline (the "eye" icon should not be crossed out). If you can hear it in your Camtasia timeline but not when exported, you'll need to open a support ticket so our technical support team can help you out. Do that here:

      If you're referring to at 2:13 in the video, he was recording the system audio of his own computer from a narration he'd previously recorded (likely with a different microphone). It wasn't changed intentionally.

    What happened to Audio Leveling? That was one of the most useful audio effects on here

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can still do audio leveling, either in the Properties window when you've selected an audio clip and adjusting it's level, or by double clicking an audio clip which shows your audio keyframes for you to do leveling directly on the clip. However, you are correct, it's no longer listed under the audio effects panel, but we didn't remove the functionality.

    The audio waveform just disappeared and i cannot see it, im using Camtasia 19.0

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You may have accidentally found the keyboard shortcut to turn them off. If that's all it is, you can show them again by going to "View -> Display -> Waveforms" and making sure it's checked.
      Can you hear the audio still despite not seeing it? If not, select the clip, go to Properties (to the right above the timeline) and make sure the Gain isn't at zero or anything like that.
      I hope that helps!

    I always have audio defect after I create video in Camtasia. No matter what is the version and no matter on what computer (well... both computers that I have tried has Windows10). The defect is appear on the beginning of every minute of the video i.e. 01:00-01:01, then on 02:00-02:01 and then on the beginning of every next minute. I have tried to re-install codecs, Camtasia, different versions of Camtasia, different PCs, different video-files and audio-files. Every single time I had the same issue. For example, here is the version of Camtasia that gave me such audio defect - Camtasia Studio 2019.0.6. Here is the link on the video with defect sample - th-cam.com/video/GA7Je3IQQGc/w-d-xo.html
