Can data be reported on an individual basis? I need to know the quiz results for each individual user.
Yes, when you export your final Camtasia project, however you do it, whether to Screencast.com or as a Local file, make sure to go into the Quiz "Options" button and select the box that says "Report quiz results through email." Put in your email address as the recipient, then confirm it, THEN select "Require viewers to input name and email address." The quiz reporting is a 24 hour gathering service, so it's not automatic, but if you want 24 hours, you'll have all results that were submitted. Hopefully that helps, but let us know if you have any more questions!
I'm trying to convince my employer to keep Camtasia, but it's kinda hard to do when the quiz appearance can't be changed, resized, or allowing for retry's. The quizzing needs more options. My biggest complaint about the program.

i made a quiz, everything works fine. my students and i took the quiz. i do NOT get the results reported to any email address no matter what i try. i uploaded the camtasia project with quiz to screencast. i posted the screencast link. the students clicked on the link and watched the video and took the quiz as did I. when the quiz was over it just ended with the last question. should there have been another SUBMIT QUIZ or something like that popping up? i have been working on this problem forever. - do I need to use the embed.. etc a long piece of html coding also appearing after i uploaded to screencast- and if i do need to use this, how do i use this. .. your videos are great but i see nothing about what i am asking.
i made the video added a quiz did everything correctly with the correct screencast upload etc. I do not find any email where my students scores were reported. what is amiss. and it would be nice to see a video of someone taking a quiz and then the score being opened in the video makers email. Please answer I am NOW a remote teacher and I only have so much time to learn these things.. thank you all in advance.. V

The production wizard doesn't show when I hit local file, (which also means I don't have the option for MP4 with smart player. Is it because I have a Mac?

Hi There, when the candidates choose the incorrect answer - why does the original question were skip after it jump on the set timeline. Is there in any way that we can set it back to original question until the candidate choose the correct answer? Thanks
With the latest version of Camtasia you can allow them to re-take the quiz. But there isn't a way to keep them on the question until they get it right.
I used the SCORM item in Blackboad Learn. But some students have trouble viewing them. This happened to several of them. The video will stop many times. Do you have a solution for that? I do see that you can Edit SCORM Player Behavior after it is added. But I am not sure what kind of change would make it more smooth. Thank you all in advance.

How can the look of the quiz be changed -- font size, addition of an image, etc, to make them more engaging?

Quizzing only works by using our Smart Player technology which TH-cam and Facebook do not support. If you wish to include a quiz, you can upload it for free to Screencast.com, your own website, or an LMS.
How do I capture User ID/Email ID when the participant watch this video? My need is to capture who views this video and how much the participant scores....
You can make one of the questions the participant email / ID that they need to enter, but you cannot view individual quiz results. You will receive a summary report on quiz activity as well as a breakdown of performance by question via email.
You can choose to score the quiz, and have the results display to the participant, but it is really intended as a checkpoint to the participant to see whether they understood the information from the video. I hope this helps!
I do not have these options on the OSX install of Camtasia 3. What options should i use when creating a local file.
Assuming you're talking about the output settings? If so you will need to produce to a local file or Screencast.com. In your output settings, you can choose to export as a web page, and if you do, include Quiz, and if you want SCORM, you can check that too. You may need to expand the window to see more options beyond just the file location.

How can I embed the video with the quiz from screencast to my WordPress website?

Does quiz work with Confluence pages?
For quizzing - it will work if you upload to screencast.com or Knowmia pro OR if you can produce as a web page and then upload all of the extra files - like XML.
We're not familiar with Confluence pages, but if you could produce as a SCORM package that'd work, but we don’t know if Confluence can handle that being unfamiliar with the platform.

Is camtasia a 1-time purchase software, or is it a pay-every-month software?
It's a one-time purchase for version 9. You'll have the option to purchase maintenance with the program--maintenance would need to be renewed each year if you'd like to stay covered under an active agreement.
At 4:17 we are told to upload these files to our website. Which specific file would I upload to an LMS?
When going to an LMS, it probably works best if you are using SCORM - and if you do, make sure you select in the LMS settings to produce a zipped file, or both zipped and unzipped files. You should then be able to upload the zipped file to your LMS without issue.

If you want to avoid SCORM, you will probably need all the files, since they all have bits and pieces of the information to make the video work, to add the quiz interactivity, etc....
I'm creating a training video. I want to add a quiz asking the viewer what task they're trying to accomplish, then take them to a certain marker depending on their answer. The only way I can see to do that is to check the "Score Quiz" box, which forces me to choose one answer as being correct. Since this is more of a survey, there is no correct or incorrect answer. Is there a way to make a quiz that moves the viewer to a marker without the "correct" or "incorrect" message popping up after they give their answer?
Hi Blake, there is not a way to do what you describe in Camtasia. You can show feedback to the question, but it won't allow you to automatically move the viewer to a particular point in the video.
Thanks for the reply. I ended up making my own 'quiz' by writing the multiple choice answers inside annotation boxes, then adding a hotspot to these to move the viewer to a marker

Is It Possible To Make a Moving Picture In Camtasia 9?
Yes. When you say moving picture - what do you mean? Like bringing in camera footage? Recording your screen? (yes, and yes) Want an object to move across the screen in animation (yes). Give us a bit more detail about what you'd like to accomplish and we can help narrow down the answer for you.

Does this work with all devices? iphones?
Camtasia is designed for desktops and laptops.
I wasn't clear. If I create a quiz using Camtasia, can a student take the quiz or survey using their iPhone? Or does this interactive feature only work for students using desktops and laptops.
how do i record game sounds?
Make sure in the recorder you've turned on the Record System Audio option.
I suggest you search for game sounds online then import them and place them where you want on the timeline. You could go to TH-cam.com and open Creator Studio. Then Open Create. TH-cam has lots of different free sounds to choose from.
is this Quiz works like that on youtube?
Unfortunately the quizzing functionality doesn't work on TH-cam. The video is re-encoded, which breaks the quizzing functionality.

@@Jhev1000 It is still the case. For quizzing functionality, you can use TechSmith's platforms, either the free Screencast.com or the higher-end Knowmia. But TH-cam doesn't allow for that kind of interactivity in the video files.
