You shouldn't have to add it, Camtasia recognizes microphones plugged directly in. There are some that aren't supported, however first make sure it's plugged in, double-check the mic drop-down menu after doing so, and if it's still not there, you may want to check with our tech support team by opening a ticket here: bit.ly/techsmith-help
