Arhhhhh this was super helpful you know, so clear thank you SO much. I’m just starting up with wanting to record my gameplay and thinking about streaming and I’m finding it quite a lot of hard work so far. I brought the chat link pro and a new wired headset in hope that my voice would be record in one hit! I was so wrong. Time to buy a mic if there is no way around this! At least I can now listen to my gameplay through my headset and still record it.

Hey man, this worked for me on the elgato application but when I load up Streamlabs the audio from my headset doesn’t spike up the volume on the mixer, I recorded a test of me speaking to make sure it wasn’t a bug and my voice didn’t come up on the recording either. I tried using the gain filter and that didn’t work as well. Any help would be massively appreciated ❤️

Hey, I'm new to all this and getting my stuff together. Will this fix the issue I'm having with the Xbox party coming through to my stream but not my voice, from my gaming headset? Or is there no fix, and I need a second mic for my stream/OBS to pick up my voice? It's weird that the twitch app on the console will pick up my party and my voice, but when I use OBS on my laptop, it only catches my party and not my voice.
@midnightman Thank you for these videos. It's been helping me with my streaming. I followed this video to get my PS5 gameplay and party chat. I had my chat link cable connected to my PS5 to my Playsation headset. My friends at my party kept saying they heard an echo in my voice. Is there something I'm doing wrong or a setting I need to adjust?

Hey ty for your videos. I have a quick question. Can I use a elgato 60hd x connected to my tv my pc and my ps5 and add the chat link pro connected to a 3rd controller with no headset connected. Connecting all 3 controller to the same party can I record the game audio and the party chat of both controller not connected to the chat link. (1st controller wireless headset playing game, second controller with jack headset playing game and 3rd controller not playing just there to record with jack connected to chat link pro connected to my capture card elgato hd60 x but no headset on the other end of the chat link pro(can find one with jack if needed)). Any idea how to get gamechat with HD60X on Xbox Series X with Astro Mixamp Pro? I changed my settings and still nothing, do I need the chat link pro cable inserted somewhere or can I use the stream port on the Mixamp Pro somehow?
Im play on the series x and got the Astro a50 Gen4 Headset so my Gamechat is not workin with the normal Chat Link cable and i buy now the pro one. Any ideas why IT doesnt work ? Should i need some Options on pc ? Im didnt know how i came further anymore...

I've been wanting my stream to be able to hear my teammates in games like hell let loose and pubg for xbox, i'll be buying this product thanks.
So I have the chat link pro and putting audio input as the Elgato HD60X that I’m using. In both OBS and the Elgato recording software, it’s picking up the console audio, and the console audio drowns out my voice. I know that I can turn down the audio to my headset itself, but I like having my game loud. Is there a solution to this or is this something I just have to deal with?

Im streaming for the first time and im using the chat link as well as the elgato 60x. Stream is fine, it can pick up in game audio/game chat audio as well as my computer can pick up my microphone. My biggest issue right now is that when I play cod or any game that involves me speaking to the game, it uses my PS5 mic(which sounds terrible) instead of my headset microphone which sounds better. Any fix? I am using the Corsair Virtuos headset which connects USB to my ps5 but it DOES have a headphone jack
So do I have to download obs or something for this to work correctly? Cause I’m just using the legato software and I’m on Mac and the settings is definitely not set up like this. I’m kinda stuck here
I'm using steelseries arctis pro + gamedac and a hd60x capture is there a way to hear both my pc and ps5 so stream can hear in game chat and i can hear my desktop eg if i have music in the background i can hear it through the headset at the same time. just seem to get one or the other can not figure it out.
Just a quick question when I go to settings the last thing I see in device settings is the video input, how do I fix this problem?

My Elgato chat link doesn't work if I set it up how MidnightMan sets it up at 2:50, I plug the side with the two connectors directly into my HD60x capture card instead of the controller. It's not the way Elgato tells you to do it, but when I set it up the way Elgato/MidnightMan tell you to, the audio is all watery and distorted. Any ideas why this is? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Why am I not seeing any of those settings on the 4k capture utility? I don’t have the audio input setting so I can’t change it to analog audio please help.
The output I get is Mono audio if the isloater is turned off and when turned on it sends Stereo but in obs it sends Mono what to do ?

Hey so I'm on xbox one s will this work (I need to record my game audio mine and the xbox party's audio) and is there anyway to use a hdmi Microphone im having a hard time finding a good 3.5 mic (side note I don't have the elgato yet or anything else we'll besides my xbox and computer am getting for my birthday early December)
I have the hd60s and I plugged everything in exactly how you did but when I go to obs for an audio test I still cannot hear the game audio. It sounds muted and if I turn my volume up super high I can barely hear the game audio as if it's just slightly getting picked up through my mic through all the eq settings. Of and I'm not using headphones I'm using speakers. Does that matter?

When I select analog audio then all the other audio from the game won't Play on OBS stream. And it does not have the option for HDMI with analog. Any advice here?

I use a Xbox serie s and a hd60x with a PC. When no software is open on my pc, the sound from the hd60 is good. But when I open OBS or 4k elgato utility, I have a bad sound with poppings and distortions. How can I solve it? Please

I get super hella echo using the dual sense and I lowered and muted the mic on the controller. However everytime I plug in my headset or the el gate chat link cable I experience the same thing. You touched on this at the end but I'm streaming Xbox X with PC using elgato HD60X and want to hear all audio in headset. The idea of a seperate mic for party chat on PS5 but would that also work on xbox? Also, I've seen some mention with chat link, that you can plug it into your PC directly vs the capture card audio slot. Would love a solution to this as I'm sure everyone wants to hear ALL sounds on their stream, just like the viewers.

I use a 4k60 Pro. Do you suspect that, since it doesn't have a line in port, I could plug it into a line in port on the PC and get it that way?

So I still can't get this set up right for my xbox and I've been kinda pissed about it. I haven't tried with my ps5 yet but I also don't have all of my stuff set up fully again. I had to rearrange some things around and haven't had a lot of time dedicated to setting it all back up again. I tried setting my chat to speakers and headphones but it still won't work.

So from what I'm getting from this is that regardless of having the cord or not, OBS and SLD won't pick up discord chat? A few weeks ago I had no problem but recently this cable and the old one refuses to capture Discord Audio. I am so confused.
Use the discord chat feature in PS or Xbox, it will come right though with this cable or over HDMI. Much easier that way
