Pro tip :
If you're using OBS, just keep your headset plugged to your PC and enable monitoring on your capture card source. Right click inside the audio mixer where you can see the audio levels and choose advanced audio properties, then look for the source of your capture card and under its audio monitoring choose monitor and output. Enjoy!

So I have an aux cable from my monitor into my pc, and I just monitor that in obs. No latency.
the only problem with this is that the audio is like if you heard it from your tv, there's no space to it, there's no depth to the sound so its hard to play games like battle royales and such

It's so ridiculous the amount of hoops the PS5 forces you to jump through in order to stream audio from it. The PS4 had way better functionality than this and that's such old tech now. Great content and thanks for the tips.
I thought things were supposed to get easier with time and here I am having to buy a bunch of BS wires just to stream audio. It’s f-ing ridiculous

I’m in the same boat I can’t get sound going to my computer from my ps5 and also into a 3.5mm headset from controller .. but I’ve also tried to have the capture card do in f the video and audio and then a Bluetooth headset to computer but that dosent work except for microphone and the same goes if I connect a 3.5mm headset to my computer directly … I cannot get audio to capture card and also have microphone and sound to headset
@@pastypatsy7515 They are so fuckin everything up, i am using elgato as it is but i bought so many connecting cables that it kills the joy out of it, at the end of the day I feel tired and I barely record anything

your not kidding!!!. i have been away from streaming for awhile and I now how a streaming PC, ps5, and new headset with a razer ripsaw hd cap card and have spent the last week in more discords, reddits, and youtube videos with so much bs workarounds that I could make more content from than ign has since they started lol
So my 4k60 pro is only good for video recording...? It blocks a Steele series 7p+ headset audio in OBS because you have to set the audio to ALL AUDIO. Is there a workaround for this??
I think it would of helped a bit more if you also went over options to tick in the elgato capture card software. I always had to mess with those settings with my ps4. I try different settings with my ps5 and nothing seems to work. Usually have to got with no headset & just hear the game thru my tv, which in turn could be a problem as my microphone to my laptop (even with filters) might pick up tv sounds.
Can the sound be captured in a different software like Adobe Audition, or do I need a separate microphone.
So just making sure I understand right. If I have 2 controllers then one I can use to have audio go to my recording and the other I can use to hear the game at the same time?

I'm confused, when using chat link pro and wired headset which cable goes into the pc? I have got 1 cable into my controller, the other into the HD60X and the adapter going to my headset, there is no other available cable to go into the pc. Also my ps5 party chat can hear an echo now, any suggestions?
So there's no way around getting that coupler if I want to record my party chat along with the game audio? That seems unfortunate, especially because my best streams are with my friends there to bounce off of

How do you hear out of two headets if using the elgado hd60?
I have everything plugged in perfectly with my HD60S+. OBS picked up the PS5 audio but not my turtle beach headset audio when I speak. BUT if I go to the audio PS5 settings and talk THEN I see the audio bar move and the audio go into OBS but once I close the settings POOF no more headset audio into OBS...does this literally only pick up the game chat audio> ?
Just to let you know if you get the buzzing noise you can use a charger adaptor such as the triangle plug of a iPhone charger with usb port to connect your controller charger to. This should solve your issue

Need some help! I own 2 different usb headsets (PS5 Headsets & TurtleBeach 700 gen2) I've tried the 2 controllers solution and of course I've purchased the elgato Chat Link Pro and still no audio on the capture card! Any input would be gratly aprreciated!

I have astro a20 wireless, and I tried the second controller method with the chat link pro, and I am still not getting any sound.
Why does the "USB headset" method only work with a second controller? Am I able to use my just 1 controller and play with keyboard and mouse?
So the 4k60 pro mk2 is useless for consoles cause i have to run 4k utility just to get sound but i dont have any latency that way either but it takes up more resources during stream

CAN SONEONE PLEASE HELP ME! So I have ps5 and I'm currently using a capture card the one without audio ports on it (buying the one with audio ports on it soon ) the headphones I use are the logitech pro x headset and it uses usb in order to have the optimization of the blue voice mic (makes voice sound crisp) and that goes into my mini PC USB port with my current set up I can hear my PC sound ps5 sound but I can't hear my ps5 game chat or party chat because my console won't detect the mic through my PC it has to have something connected to either the pad or the ps5 I want to be able to hear and talk to game chat as well as discord so if I buy the capture card with audio ports and this line in cable will that fix the problem I hope I made that clear to understand
My headset is plugged into my monitor and my mic is in my ps5 and laptop, would that work having my headset in the monitor

Hello, thanks for the video, it's literally all that I was looking for, being able to use pulse 3d while streaming 😃👏🏻. Good thing the trick of the second controller (that I have) but I think I'm going to buy the chat link pro (just bought on Amazon xD).
Just one question please. I'm using elgato 60 hd + to stream ps5 game using Twitch studio (similar to OBS). I'm doing it like this to be able to use overlays (streaming from ps5 directly is poor in overlay settings ). So in this overlay that I use I put a ps5 controller 🎮 for viewers can see what buttons I'm pressing, the problem is that If I use the controller with cable usb on PC to see buttons, the SOUND of stream alerts suddenly are muted, but at the moment that I disconnect the controller from PC, the stream alerts sounds again (it doesn't affect to ps5 or the controller itself, only interfere between overlay Vs sound. Do you know how to fix it?
Right know I have to choose between hearing alerts OR seeing the controller on overlay 🥲

im sorry to be that guy but I don't use elgato at home because it is out of my price range. I am the broadcast and production assistant for the esports team that I work at that uses elgato cap card...they have a much bigger budget than I had lol....does the chat link pro work with the razer Ripsaw had capture card? I use that obs and the inzone h7 wireless headset and have yet to find any single solution to this until this video

So I got my chat link for my ps4 and it worked perfect. When switching to my ps5 it continued to work as demonstrated, perfectly.
I stream fairly regularly, and pretty much never experience any issues with it.
I’m unsure what happened since nothing has changed (not the console, computer, nor the capture card or chat link itself) but recently whenever I plug in my chat link, it immediately stops capturing the audio from the hdmi. Without anything plugged into my controller it captures all the audio from my ps5 just fine. I plug in my chat link, the line goes mute. Plugging my headset into the chat link from there, does nothing further and it stays silent. It’s like it’s doing the exact opposite of its purpose and now I can’t really stream or record anything.
I don’t know what’s going on or how to fix this.

What about x box ! I spent 170 for chat link pro and hd60x like I need a x box with obs and mac setup because my audio does a echo my audio is super low and the game chat is higher than me

I have a question and hoping it can get answered here, I've been in search of a fix but can't seem to find one. Ok so for starters I have my set up exactly like this with the chat link, I am using the Elgato 4K60 Pro to capture my PS5. but I have my audio coming through my PC so I can talk to my friends through Discord, now my issue here is... My audio that's being captured from my PS5 into the Elgato is extremely low, you can barely hear the game at all and there will be times the volume will randomly SPIKE to loud volumes during gameplay and then go back down to low volumes. I don't know how to fix this issue (PS5 controller is being used wireless, not wired, and chat link is connected to back of motherboard in the Line-In port) Any help is much appreciated!!!

I use a regular usb microphone connected to my PS5, while output is still to HDMI. I use my gaming headset on my PC to listen to everything. There’s the tiniest bit of delay but nothing you’ll really notice. Plus you can use the headset as a mic for the streaming.

Why does my mic and chat audio only come through my ps5 controller?! If I plug in my headset directly to my ps5, my elgato gameplay audio no longer works.
I'm using a Mac to stream. I have a ps5 and the HD60 X. I have yet to find anywhere that can help me get my chat link pro working. the sound of the game completely disappears, I have no option to change the output to analog from HDMI. Is there a solution for MAC users, as even your capture card software doesn't support the new HD60 x. If anyone knows how to do this would mean a lot ! thanks
I have a Mac Mini and I paid my friend $20 to download the software driver update for the HD60X yesterday but it was already updated!!! :( If you find a solution please share it with the world as I am at my wits end. :(

So I've just purchased the elgato hd60 x and have connected it as instructed. I'm not to fussed about my audio but my game audio isn't coming through to my stream, any ideas on how to fix this? You need the chat link pro and change the setting in ur elgato to audio link or something like that it’s the only way plug cord just how he showed u

It did for me for only 1 day i have the clip on my tiktok account and could hear my team loud and clear but now it wont even capture the chat audio anymore very frustrating
I've tried doing this method with my pulse 3D audio headset and a second controller, but still no luck. I realize now that I have the original chat link cable and not the chat link pro cable. Could the issue be having the old version of the cable and not the pro cable?

Could one potentially just capture audio without these work around? Hookup their headset to their stream output pc. And change the stream software setting to monitor and output on the capture cards audio instead of just output, Or would there be a delay in audio on the streamers end that way? Genuinely curious because I just got an hd60s+ on the way now and trying to plan ahead.
Thats where the limitation of ps5 comes in. The moment you imput a microphone itll kill the audio going to your monitor.
@@mryupjup2203 I only really play single players atm so dont need a mic on the ps5. So I do just mute my TV and have the audio from the elgato set to monitor and output on my obs. Which allows me to hear it on my pc headphones with 0 delay. Which as an added bonus allows me to not have to output my pc volume to the stream so I can watch Netflix or listen to other streams while streaming.

I am a small streamer, I bought an Elgato HD60 S video capturer . I have seen many youtubers stream via elgato HD60 s with android devices. I am using MI A3 android phone but all the time I am getting No Signal in elgato software

I’m using an audio extractor for my Arctis Pro Wireless. PS5 HDMI to HDMI in on extractor, DC5V to USB to PS5, extractor’s HDMI Out to my capture card, optical from extractor to Arctis base and set to PS5.
Everything looks to be set up just fine. I get to the PS5 menu and change the settings as the video prompted but I ONLY get sound on the capture card and not the headset. I want to make sure I can hear game and sound on BOTH the headset and capture card.
Any help is appreciated.

I have a pair of arctis 7+ wireless headset. Even with the TRRS4 extension into the chat link cable, I still can’t get audio into obs & headset @ the same time. It’s either one or the other but not both. Not sure what I’m doing wrong, or what I need to fix but I’ve tried almost everything.

Please double check that you've set your capture device to capture analog audio instead of HDMI audio. If that is already enabled then please contact our support team by going to e.lg.a/help.
Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think you do need a second PS5 controller? You only need the Elgato Chat Link cable and that should do the trick? Right?

Yes that works but depending on the quality of ur capture card, the audio can buzz or make terrible sounds u can’t confront
