At first it was a bit scary / intimidating however I wanted to improve my editing skills and have footage of my favorite games available to watch anytime... I ended up enjoying the whole editing side and now trying to make gaming videos in TV show style format with intros and recaps.... not there yet but I am always open for criticism if it will improve my content :)

Great video, but i disagree with the quantity over quality. TH-cam favors quality a lot because quality content retains viewers attention more. I also disagree with the quality over quantity advice a lot of people give to. Its like the old saying "work smarter not harder". You should work smarter AND harder. Quality AND quantity. Obviously your not a robot and you cant put out insane quality videos every single day. Over time youll get better at making video ideas, thumbnails, recording, and editing and youll be able to make quality content more efficiently.
I’d change one thing. Post 1-3 videos a month so you can actually learn about filming, editing, etc. It can help you from becoming overwhelmed and allow you the time to improve each video by 1% -you won’t feel rushed to get videos out each week. This is my goal because I work full time as a teacher and making multiple videos every week is not practical for me to make better videos

I started putting out content 2.5 months ago. I'm really humbled by the experience and my channels overall growth. Best thing I can say is dont spend too much time trying to think of a masterpiece or viral video, or spend too much time editing if you're new. Dont try to make the perfect video. Dont try to be perfect. Your imperfections is what makes you perfect. Just put something out and be yourself. Just DO it and success will come. Wishing everyone the best in their journeys.

The grind is definitely real, ive been a console gamer and youtuber for years now, and started editing on my phone cause i dont have a pc, and honestly i think i do fairly decent with what i got.
That's how I started 9 years ago I was used my ps4 to edit and record my gameplays but eventually I got a capture card and editing software and it boosted my stats fairly well. But it's still a process and growing as a gaming content creator is challenging but rewarding. You get a small build of community which will eventually grow !
How you been doing this for 9 years and have less than 3K subs but are not worried about it never making much? Not to say you don't enjoy the process but gaming pays about $3 for every 1K views so many will be doing this as a hobby at most and the lucky ones will make about $90 a month with 50K views.....

What you forgot to tell them is after you get big enough or not even like at 1k subs youtube will start to copyright claim you , shadow banned you and not even recommend you. I feel it. But remember, comparison is the thief of all joy! I use those large pages as resources to my own page. What are they doing that works? Is it editing? Story telling? Gaming skill? A lot of times I would contribute it more to the battle of attrition. They started with an idea in mind and relentlessly pursued it. You got this!

Hello! I have a question and any help from comments would be appreciated. I have a small youtube channel of a humble 336 subs. I've done some research about what videos to post etc. I've landed on that I want to post anime/story analysis videos, dnd videos, and I occasionally post travel videos. My plan was to post gaming playthroughs and do livestreams between these analysis videos that take longer to make due to script writing, editing, etc. Do you think anime, dnd, and gaming is stretching myself too thin and posting these gaming videos would just dilute my channel and harm it? Or is there enough overlap between audiences that it would be fine. So far the gaming videos aren't getting very many views, but I don't think that entirely means I should stop posting them, just that a smaller portion of my very small audience wants to watch them.

I've been wanting to make more consistent videos for a while but was scared because I thought they would just suck and nobody would watch them but now I'm going to start just for fun and what matters is trying and be satisfied with our work and trying new stuff! Just do it guys. If you're consistent and put in effort you'll likely be rewarded. If not at least you had fun and tried something challenging!

I let my channel go dormant because I was frustrated about slow growth or no growth at all. But, I'm getting back into and I'm to just enjoy the process and learn to be a better content creator.
when i frist started my gameing channel i had a few subs but my sub wood often rise and decrease sometimes i wood gain one new sub and sometimes i wood lose a sub my gameing channel i started out using a digital camera and nothing else sometimes i wood gain 1 new sub but other times i wood lose a sub or two my gameing was far from perfect i was probably lose about 1 to 2% of one or two subs every few days and i didn't get vary many views if i was luckily i got alset 3 or 4 or 5 views most uplaods i wood only get about one or two views also my watch time was almost non existent back then i had vary little click tho rate and the most pll watching my videos were pll in the state of alaska most pll in in north america if not all pll in north america wen't watching
What got me started was coming across a channel i thought was silly, then remembering the channel about 5 years later seeing how much its changed and how good its gotten when i never even started

A lot of work, quality videos, and a little bit of luck I’d say. But to see success you have to put the time in and you have to develop your niche.

Thank you for all you do.i used to watch you alot during and before covid. i been off and on streaming for couple years. I was gaining traction but after covid i had to make the decision to stop streaming to work more hours to provide for my family during covid.. just bought a new mic u recommended and ps5 now. And started again, you are helping alot. So thank you.
All in all if you're passionate about entertaining just do it. It will never hurt to try something you love.
Hello! I have a question and any help from comments would be appreciated.
I have a small youtube channel of a humble 336 subs. I've done some research about what videos to post etc. I've landed on that I want to post anime/story analysis videos, dnd videos, and I occasionally post travel videos.
My plan was to post gaming playthroughs and do livestreams between these analysis videos that take longer to make due to script writing, editing, etc.
Do you think anime, dnd, and gaming is stretching myself too thin and posting these gaming videos would just dilute my channel and harm it? Or is there enough overlap between audiences that it would be fine. So far the gaming videos aren't getting very many views, but I don't think that entirely means I should stop posting them, just that a smaller portion of my very small audience wants to watch them.

Thank you. I've been wanting to make more consistent videos for a while but was scared because I thought they would just suck and nobody would watch them but now I'm going to start just for fun and what matters is trying and be satisfied with our work and trying new stuff!
Just do it guys. If you're consistent and put in effort you'll likely be rewarded. If not at least you had fun and tried something challenging!

when i frist started my gameing channel i had a few subs but my sub wood often rise and decrease sometimes i wood gain one new sub and sometimes i wood lose a sub my gameing channel i started out using a digital camera and nothing else sometimes i wood gain 1 new sub but other times i wood lose a sub or two my gameing was far from perfect i was probably lose about 1 to 2% of one or two subs every few days and i didn't get vary many views if i was luckily i got alset 3 or 4 or 5 views most uplaods i wood only get about one or two views also my watch time was almost non existent back then i had vary little click tho rate and the most pll watching my videos were pll in the state of alaska most pll in in north america if not all pll in north america wen't watching

Use that money for cloud gaming (cloud gaming is very very helpful) cloud gaming will provide you PlayStation games on mobile
