I think discord might not work on Xbox since it doesn’t give the option to include audio like regular party chat

So I have my wave 3 mic hooked up to my pc, and my wireless headset too. I have a chat link, and it’s hooked up for the wave link method as you did. I can hear and adjust console audio now, and stream can hear and hear me, but my headset mic won’t show on the ps5 at all as an option. What am I doing wrong? Help is so so appreciated man. Its giving me a hard time. Look forward to hearing from you
do i need those elgato specific things to use the wave link method or can i use any capture card and the chat link and download the wave link software to get the audio through ?
I seriously need your help. I have the rodecaster pro 2 and everything you have in the video. I watched your video to setup a dual pc and followed the steps. When trying to incorporate my ps5 to the setup. I’m not getting any audio to the capture. I can hear the game through my headset but nothing is going into obs. Is there any work around to get everything working while still being able to use the rodecaster pro 2?

Is it necessary to enable streamlink on elgato capture utility to make it work on obs for ps5 using the hd60x capture card. I am stuck in this step and am unable to show the camlink and game link over on obs. I'm also unable to see the NDI drop down option

Question.... I use the Rodecaster Pro with my Xbox Series X for game audio and party chat simply by connecting a double ended 3.5mm jack to the controller and Rodecaster Pro. Is there a way to connect the Elgato Chatlink Pro to the Rodecaster Pro while still using it for game audio and party chat? I'm guessing that this would enable me to finally be able to stream party chat and game audio through the capture card. Thanks!
So I have a basic mic, can I still use the wave link software to plug chat link into my PC tower and get the game audio/alerts? Game audio isn’t going to into my stream and alerts aren’t going to my headset with the chat link plugged directly into my capture card

Where do you actually have your headphones plugged in to hear the game and desktop audio? does a separate headphone jack on the PC pick up what you want to hear? For example, I've never had a desktop pc, just got one. Its got the 'line in' on the back, but on the top its got a headphone jack. if i use this method, would i still be able to plug headphones into the top and hear everything? When you use the chat link how you have it set up, can your party chat in game still hear you? i know you said youll be able to hear your alerts and game, im just unsure how it will allow you to communicate back to console
In your own setup you mentioned in the end. Is your headset connected to the Chat Link or is it connected directly to the PC? I’m trying to understand how you can use the headset as a monitor device in Wave Link if the chat link is connected to the line-in. If it is connected to the Chat Link, what have you selected as monitor device in Wave Link?
I don’t connect my headset to the chat link. It’s only used to get audio to my wavelink. I connect my headset to the pc and use wavelink to send my audio to that

Hi @MurrayFrost i am using a xbox series x with a msi optix G32 series monitor. I have the capture card set up correctly and plugged into my laptop i checked the specs and the laptop is capable of running the capture card the issue im having is that when i have streamlabs obs open and everything powered up my gaming monitor will work fine for about a minute then its a black screen and on streamlabs its frozen ive no idea where it has gone wrong any advise or tips on how to fix this please as im due to do a 24 hour stream for charity in a few weeks time and i cant seem to get this figured out many thanks paddy
How do I get the gameplay audio from my capture card to go through my headset??
You can go into your sound settings and listen to the device too. This way you can adjust the game sound for stream without lowering it for you.

@@RealystGemini no this is the only downside. If you want in game chat to hear you and your mic audio included in the stream then you MUST use a splitter coming out your controller, one end going to headset and one end going to Elgato analog input. But with the method I stated you can get the Xbox app on your laptop and use party chat on your pc.
I have wave link mic and my headset is still plugged into controller. Wavelink is added as an audio source in obs. You can break down wavelink sources in obs separately. I believe he has a video for this. I still have chat audio no problem.

Hi after doing everything accordingly to the steps through 12:04 with an elgato chat link cable. I now have sound coming from PS5 to PC so i can hear game sounds and alerts, GREAT! However, am i missing something because i cant seem to be heard when connecting to Party chats on the PS5. What am i missing?
This is why chatlink pro helps as your headset and mic would connect to that and into the controller. The system at the end where I show you how I set up, I can do that because I don’t need party chat on my console. Or you can simply plug in a second mic into your console. That might be the easiest option

So it's either game sound with party chat options where everyone hears each other but then no alert sounds OR ME having the option to hear game sound and alerts via the streaming computer, but now can't use party chat, however can still use discord for sounds that goes both ways?

It has to a lot of ports but no matter which combo of plugins I try, I can't get it to share the audio. Do you know if this is possible? Thanks in advance

Hey can I do this without chat link pro. Like I am a streamer I have a PS5 a Laptop and a Monitor and now after saving a lot and budgeting the Elgato HD60X. So I am looking to stream and record single player games from my PS5 to my TH-cam Channel. So how does that work. I bought the capture card because I have my Blue Yeti mic connected to my laptop which is set up using NVIDIA BROADCAST and in OBS mic stuff to make it sound better. So can iI connect my Mic and headphones to my Laptop and stream off my PS5 with the elagto HD60x. I have never used a capture card before so am kind of lost. Thank you

Is there anyway to stream 1080p60 but play in 4K. I hate that I have to use 1080 on a new gen console just to stream. The highest resolution my series x can get when plugged into the hd60x is 1080.

Help! Sorry i am a bit illiterate… so I have a mic connected to my pc via USB, I also have a wireless headset connected to the console via USB. Steam can hear me & game play, I can talk and hear teammates + gameplay but, steam can not hear teammates! Do I still need a chat link? (Using same card and console in video)
So you can choose that option but the ideal situation is if you have an Elgato mic which is like $60 for the cheapest since that comes with the wave link software. BUT, if you don’t want to do that, in the video I talk about plugging your headset into your pc and then sending the audio through your capture card and into your stream. Then you click the settings button on your console audio in your stream software and go to the advanced option. Then you should be able to click the drop-down and do monitor and output. Give that a try and see if that works. You may have to find a way to still get a mic onto your console of that is where your team chat is since your headphones would be connected to your pc.
What if you want to hook up multiple consoles through an hdmi switch
On my laptop I don't have HDMI 3.0 I have USB c 3.0 iF I use a adapter from hdmi to usb c will that work?
I think you mean usb 3.0, not hdmi 3.0. So using an adapter to usb c should work fine. Usb c is pretty fast and you shouldn’t have an issue. Another solution is to buy a usb c - usb c cable for your capture card to your streaming laptop. That can remove the need for the usb c adapter.
6:35 - when I open my settings I only get 720p and 1080p not 4K… 6:53- I only get the option to turn on 50Hz, allow variable refresh rate , allow ycc,.. how are you allowed to use all those options?
My headset mic will not work with the chat link pro, but it works without it? I have everything plugged in correctly, but for some reason I cannot talk in party or game chat when using the chat link. Could I have a faulty cord or something?

I’m currently going through the same thing and am literally so stressed because I can’t figure it out lol I changed my audio from hdmi to analog but at first when it worked I heard game chat and gamble volume then it went silent and then this morning I tried it again and all I heard was game chat but no in game volume and then went silent again

yeah it sucks you gotta fiddle with it alot theres a 4k app you can download that changes it from hdmi to analog and back half the time it don't work though.
I have a PS5. My OBS just has a black screen where my GTA 5 gameplay should be. I tried Game Capture, Display Capture and Window Capture and nothing. Running as administrator didn't work either. What can i do?? 😭
The issue I'm having is that every time I connect the chat link pro cable to my controller, I can hear the audio in my headphones but I lose the audio in OBS.
Try changing from digital to analog on the 4k capture software. Settings/device/audio input. If its not in analog it wont register in obs for some reason when using chat link.
Capture card prices are ridiculous. Xbox needs to allow more customization on streaming, like gamepad overlays and background removal. No reason they can’t

Hello, I am having an issue with the HD60x and PS5 setup. I connected it all correctly, I added the video capture source (4k capture Utility), but the sound from PS5 is delayed and the screen is much darker than on my monitor. I can fix the screen issue with filters in OBS, but I have no idea how to fix the Audio issue. I havent had this problem with the HD60S. Can anybody help please?
have you tried changing the encode i had issues with the color and it
bieng darker that's due to it being started before the ps5 was just close
then reopen either stream labs desktop. or obs .
i also find that depending on the encoder selected the video card its darker rgb seems better but again it uses more resources.
if you change them and it dosent look any different restart the application then do a test record im having issues with audio sources.

@@veangamer7 that works for the video i know sometimes the HDMI cable wasn't as good as you thought and by switching it out it fixed it.
figured out unplugging the device from the computer booting it and then reconnected it fixes it sometimes as well .
@@MR_DOME Ohh right head, the audio issue. I fixed it as well. Found a video where the guy showed an OBS setting which prevents the delay 👍☺️
