I appreciate how you’ve made all the tutorials in this series so approachable to beginners but I think these videos would have been better if you modeled with reference images and took a bit more care in getting the details like the stitches right. Not only would the result be better, but I think gathering and using references is a great skill to learn alongside the techniques you show in the video.
Good Tutorial but that’s not what the stitching of a baseball looks like. The stitches don’t cross and are twice as big. There isn’t a crease. Because it’s 2 separate pieces stitched together. It’s a literal gap. Surrounded by mounds. The stitches sink into the gap, and they come out of a punctured hole on the other side of the mound.
I think if you want to keep the array on the bezier you could parent it to the ball. Or if u want it to be completely one object apply the array and curve modifiers convert it to mesh and join it with the ball
its because of the topology - wanting to avoid n-gons and triangles (as they tend to glitch/distort or artifact in 3d modelling). also for this particular ball, how it's segmented, it's easier to find the curve for the stitching.

How do I join/convert the whole object as a single object? because is hard to animate.
