I think a lot of these reviewers just don't really understand how blender works
To be fair, it's possible that the problems were true but were just fixed.
Almost every one-star review for any product these days is because someone couldn't figure it out immediately and got mad. They even give one star reviews if a perfectly good product gets damaged in the mail. Anyway, very fun video!

The slow downloading of assests is actually a problem, not only with this, but quite a few addons, specially asset libraries. But I think it's not the add-ons' but blender's fault.
Simplebake is hands down probably my favorite addon of all time. Esp if you like to use procedural materials as oppsoed to downloading maps.
It's been my #1 addon to reccomend, I have a decent amount of crashing issues with it though ever since I switched to blender 3.# seems to just be a me issue mostly though.
Simplebake is great.
Imagine all the developers of these add-ons who were so proud of themselves and then the only person who reviews it is some idiot who couldn't use it correctly so your add on is forever buried in the 1 star category.

Hi Smeaf, first - excellent and funny video! In case of simple bake: I have this add-on for a long while and when u bake 2k textures (Albedo, AO, Normals etc.) it doesn't take only 3 seconds ;) ( (just to be fair)... BUT - more important for people they means that Addon doesn't work: U need a proper Texture Setup. Complicated Node setups doesn't simple bake. (in my case I have never get a chance to proper export emission map)....the Addon self is excellent
I wish Blender Market would add a damn filter system within the seller's store.
Maybe this will push it over the line for the developers 👀
Simple bake is a godsend. I actually made my own simple bake and UVPackmaster integration tool but I don't think I can share it

I think the reason why there are 1-star reviews is because people think because blender is free add on should, so they feel the pain when paying for it believe me am from Africa some add ons according to our money value are expensive lol
