    My first post about this boss was not so good but I had not completed the first episode. I think that it is wonderful what he has done for his employees and I wish him great success with his company. In the end I loved both episodes.

      Berating your employees in front of customers and on national television is not epic in any way shape or form....
      When a customer is calm and has a complaint there is absolutely no need to berate your employees like that. I would have told him not to discipline me in front of customers as well as on national television lol.
      Than again this is why I now own a company and do not work for someone. I work for myself along side my employees.
      CEOs are some of the most disgusting detached people in society useless rich investors most of them did not even build the company they manage they simply own a very large holding.

      EXACTLY. They sit in their ivory towers and expect it all to just magically happen. That was most bosses I've had.
      BUT, the good ones were on the floor with their sleeves rolled up. They were the ones that REALLY knew what was going on.

    • @bobhudson6659
      @bobhudson6659 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't agree. If you have a company that is 1000 people strong in many, many cities, you have other senior managers to do the regional stuff. You can't do it all yourself. You employ these others to do their job. I would like to have been a fly on the wall when the owner sat down at his next meeting with his senior managers. You can also bet however that the owner will be out there in some form or another making sure that his company is indeed running the way it should. I have never been a CEO but I have had staff of my own. If you have less than 100 staff in one place it is pretty easy to know how the staff feel by the way they sit at their desk or walk across to the printer. They can disguise how they feel but sooner or later little things happen which tell you if they feel good at work. At the top you set the scene but then you have others in between to make it happen at lower levels. The ones in between in this company will now find out what the boss expects and they really better measure up. Don't think this will be the boss's last discrete viewing of his operation.

      The CEO's use this show as a means of marketing. None of what they are doing is to "Help" employees. It is to create a more positive image in the public eye and drive up revenue.
      Understand whats actually going on please. It really isn't that hard.
      If the CEO actually cared about his staff then he wouldn't need to be giving a few of them 200k now would he. They would just overall be paying their employees better as well as giving them more paid vacation time.
      This show is aimed at manipulating the average person which has an iq between 90-115. I can tell that you are 100% within the target audience IQ range based on your view of this situation and what is happening.

    great video...and a fantastic owner...but im confused...how do you pay for a wedding that already happened?...did he reimburse the baker and pay for dress and tux rentals?... or did he cover the expense of the family at the hotel?...what happened?

    • @bobhudson6659
      @bobhudson6659 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He said he was paying on video. Why do you think that he didn't do that? How foolish (and with the poorest business sense) would it be if he didn't pay the bill? Do people believe you when you say you are or are not going to do something? Give the man credit - the same as you would expect others to give credit to you and respect your word as your bond.

  • @tonyodonnell7189
    @tonyodonnell7189 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    only because the camera was there and showed his company in a bad light, he comes across as a bully and should have first watched the staff deal with the situation and found out is it a problem within his company that affects customers, but his actions stopped everybody finding out. It is a standard practice in many companies that if items are purchased without a discount card then they cannot get the discount .

  • @anna1417
    @anna1417 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I found pretty rude the way he spoke to his employees in front of a customer. Now, he complains that it is not possible for that to happen but, he doesn't know the policy that HIS BUSINESS applies to discounts?
    On what grounds does he complain and scold his employees?

    • @bobhudson6659
      @bobhudson6659 ปีที่แล้ว

      So I gather you would be happy for this to happen to you if you were the owner? Owner asked for the card in a firm way - yes, but not unreasonably so. Then he fixed the problem - actually went way above what he could have done. He also went on and said to the lady that it was not the staff's fault - in front of the staff. Also at the top you generate and document policies but then have others further down the line implement them. At his exec meetings he would have been told that his policies have been implemented, with the staff trained and abiding by them. When the managers see this video there would have been some considerable nervousness amongst them - and rightly so. If I were owner, I would be checking (all the way down the line) that all other aspects of the company are running the way that has been agreed to at the top - if this area is not going as it should, what other aspects need verification/significant attention. Personally I would be checking the whole structure with fine tooth comb. Also this fellow is not the CEO and reporting to shareholders. He is the owner and what he says goes. If managers don't like how the owner wants the business to run, then they need to look for other employment. It is not $5 he has invested in his company. The managers might stand to lose 5 - 6 figure salaries if it all goes South but the owner stands to lose many, many 100s of millions.
