    Even though he said the other 6 tumors are inoperable right now, chemo can shrink tumors to the point they become operable. Fedex is not a poor company. If I were her, I would instead send him to the best cancer institute in the country and continue his wages while he’s out of work so he can continue paying his bills. You have only one life and only one chance to save it. God bless him and her too for her compassion although I think she could’ve done more. ❤😢

    • @jasonrice9973
      @jasonrice9973 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      You’re right but also very wrong at the same time.
      While chemo can shrink those tumours it would be very unlikely his body would cope with the therapy.. he appears to be later in years. The chances are he wouldn’t make it through.. the amount of chemo required to shrink 6 tumours in different body regions is too much.
      And before anyone gets on my back ive just been through and luckily survived months of gruelling inpatient chemo. I know this stuff 😂

    • @firegal2k
      @firegal2k ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@jasonrice9973 Seriously, I disagree with you on all your points especially that he is too old to withstand treatment. And 5 of the 6 tumors are in the same place, not 6 different areas of his body. So basically, your saying give up and die?? He has to be evaluated for all possible treatment types that his own insurance plan may not have cover because the type of treatment often impinges on the type of coverage allowed in the employees insurance plan. That’s why I said if Fedex could’ve sent him to the BEST clinic and still pay him so that he can travel to the best clinics in the country and not worry if he misses work how will he get paid to pay his mortgage.

      Everyone's cancer is different, you can't assume that it can always be defeated. It's not something you can throw a bunch of money at and guarantee a positive outcome.
      You have to face what it is and make your peace.
      Some people in our society often just don't know when to let go. When cancer comes to take your home, you haven't been "defeated" that's just your journey. This man knows he was granted the grace of extra time. Usually when you go through what he has a point comes where you let go of the fear.
      And yes, I had stage 3 cancer so I know what that means...

    • @firegal2k
      @firegal2k ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@cheeririnaldo435 My sister beat cancer 15 years ago at stage 3. Another person beat stage 4. It is possible and yes money makes a difference because it can afford you more options at different places that your insurance may not allow. You cannot say more money doesn’t open up more possibility because it sure does. My coworker who got cancer after she retired was limited due to her insurance but tapped into her retirement fund $100,000 which afforded her better treatment and she got CURED!!!! You will never know his outcome if ALL is not tried FIRST!! Money will help make that happen. Poor man going on a cruise only to dwell on his impending death because a rich company like Fedex wouldn’t at least TRY!!!

    I have a friend who is managing cancer, he has tumors on his spine. Save a miracle, he won't be fully cancer free. But it's a different mindset these folks have, and I deal (dealt) with my own life-shortening illnesses, you live more each day, each day has more meaning, you have thankfulness for the things you can still do, gratefulness for the things you have. My friend lost his hair from chemo, and most folks gave condolences which is fine, but he ain't dead yet, I told him nice dome, looking good. Everyone has an expiration date, some folks just know sooner than others.

    Thats what I dislike about this show. Albeit his boss has given him a nice gift of teeth repair and a cruise, the man is dying. Step up and give him what he needs when he is gone. Maybe he needs his mortgage paid, or his kids college tuition managed, or help with raising his foster child, FED EX can certainly afford it. What she did for him was nice, but again, just speaks to the greed of these multinationals and how on the backs of their employees keep their stock prices high.

      I absolutely agree with you every single word, you are so correct....
      She could have done so much more.
      I know you don't have anything on your channel. However, I have subscribed, and hopefully in the future, you will upload some content.
      Have an awesome day...

      I agree. I havent seen the entire episode, but at least based on the context of this video he only wanted to take his wife on a cruise. I think there are ways that she could have found a way to do more, but in his case I'm glad he at least got what he wanted the most. i know some ceos did much more in some episodes but this one felt like the bare minimum. whether thats on how humble the man is or how lazy the ceo is, idk but he deserved more regardless

      Betcha Fed X employees have very good life and health insurance. I can say because UPS does, I know and Fed X is competitive.
