It wasn’t driver or vehicle error. That was the skip shift feature that made you shift from 1st to 4th gear. It’s on my Vette as well. It’s intended to improve MPG. Either drive more aggressively, set the mode to sport or track, or install a module to neutralize it to avoid it. Personally, I just drive more aggressively in tour mode or to set it to sport/track mode, and it never interferes.
The 6th gens are definitely some of best driver’s cars for under 100K, and in general honestly. These aren’t muscle cars, they’re genuine sports cars/track weapons in the case of the 1LEs, especially the top dog ZL1 1LE.
When it comes to modern muscle/pony cars, in my opinion the 6th gen Camaro's are unbeatable from a value perspective. Best price to performance ratio in the segement for sure. I also love the way the ZL1 looks!
I'm a Dodge guy but I love the appearance of the Camaro in the upper trim levels. It just looks so nice. Not really a fan of the interior but the exterior looks awesome! Not a fan of the steering wheel...looks like it's made by Logitech lol.
I believe the car has the skip shift feature…if you’re not at a certain rpm when shifting from 1st to 2nd. The transmission forces you into 4th gear. My widebody scatpack challenger has the same feature. I put a skip shift eliminator on my car. It cost like 30 bucks lol
@@gsheverything_2716 it’s a little device that goes underneath the car onto the transmission. It cost like 30 bucks… it eliminates the car from going from 1st to 4th gear if you’re not at a certain rpm…personally…I think the feature is more annoying than anything. But the device is the answer to that
Got a 2016 v6 manual 6 speed. Love it the exterior and interior haven't changed at all. That one has a few more goodies that mines doesn't. Was thinking about getting rid of it. Knowing it is be discontinued next year I have decided to keep it.
Sold my camaro in 2018 to help fund a down payment for my first home. Now I think I am ready for another camaro and the ZL1 is at the top of my list. But geesh, this cost and arm and a leg.
@user-ef4hm9np1r all the time are u kidding me 😂 you got people posting on fb about it and in youtube comments under the videos , plus I see them too often on the back of the triple a tow truck lol , especially for the Trans, enjoy that low quality lol
@ralphsmallblock4367 370 z are for people afraid of real hp. My car literally has twice the power your 330 hp baby engine makes. Don't come talking trash about 670 hp when you can wvwn make 350. Even if you put a Stillen on it you still won't come close
Excellent review on the last of a dying breed. If I may Ben, is this Shadow Gray Metallic or Sharkskin Metallic? I would wager it is the former but since it is an overcast/rainy day, I figured I would ask. As far as choosing GT350 vs ZL1 - I plead the fifth. This is one of those Sophie's Choice moments. It's like asking a person, do you want to keep your right hand or your left hand. What a predicament. FWIW, I have _always_ loved Shelby's especially after meeting the legendary man himself. Unfortunately, I do not like the interior of the current Shelby's or Ford's for that matter. I prefer a classic Shelby versus modern which leads me to believe that I would inevitably end up choosing the Camaro ZL1 6M (Non-1LE) if we are talking late models. In fact, I was almost sold on this specific ZL1 while we wait for our C8 Z51. However, the sun roof option removes that "double bubble" roofline which looks great on the Camaro. While the sun roof certainly opens up the cabin in an otherwise tight interior, it does detract from the overall exterior appearance in my humble opinion. Plus I prefer cars with _color._ There are far too many amorphous blobs of black, gray, silver and white that permeate the roads. This is part of the reason why Porsche's PTS is so hard to ignore. Alas, we have our priorities firmly set. Corvette first _then_ we can get our Porsche in a PTS Green or Blue or maybe even a Violet. Could you imagine a 911 in Porsche's version of Plum Crazy Purple?! Good grief! Stay classy my friend.
Too much power. Gearing is super tall and you'll never be able to use full throttle or the full rev range for long. I think maybe half this power with 33% shorter gearing and 300 fewer pounds would be ideal.
Beautiful car but I stay with my CRX and yes my do 150 mph to and more ride better than a porche handle better real gd on gas cheap parts no full coverage insurance no payment better looking then Camaro probably faster with my combo junkyards parts old school style plus real feather weight and believe me my tune is a old rusty vent screwdriver 🪛 and nothing like the old school Camaros the sounds are beautiful and the smell of gas make it real were made for poor people to buy and play but Chevy Dodge Ford forget about normal USA citizens poor people and now made cars for big money people and here we are beating the crap of rich people and middle class with four cilinders jjjjj 😁 in the streets quater miles and mostly with combos from junkyards parts jjjj bring it on CCR born in the byouooooo light it up we here to smoke gd morning Vietnam 😊
Ben, you do so much click bait, and so many shameless plugs for your advertisers, that I can't watch your videos anymore. If you read this, I want you to know that I un-subscribed after typing it.

I have had 3 Camaros. I love them, but I’m a truck guy now. I really love this car.

Til low quality starts showing and it's in the service bay for long periods of time 😂
I own one, it’s an amazing amount of performance for the money.
Wow, Camaro one of my favorite cars, its too bad cars like this are slowly going away.!!!!.

What does that do though, if you don't mind me asking

Owned 22 camaro 2ss 1le loved it....just got my 23 camaro zl1...both manual tr6060 trans, love these cars.
So glad that you reviewed this car, very nice! I like driving a manual, but the 10 speed transmissions are a great choice too
ZL1 all day. But I will be honest and say that the GT 350 is a very badass ride!
I think I would take this over C7….
Camaro especially the ZL1 is such a beautiful bad ass looking car . Unbelievable
Camaro has always been the best bang for your buck. Mustang is second due to poor quality
😂 like chevy isn't already poor quality, all you see now are new camaros needing engine replacements 😂
@user-ef4hm9np1r all the time are u kidding me 😂 you got people posting on fb about it and in youtube comments under the videos , plus I see them too often on the back of the triple a tow truck lol , especially for the Trans, enjoy that low quality lol
Mustang and camaro the average sub par American muscle car.

I'm going to miss this car 😢😭😭
My dream car
It shouldn't be especially with gm quality today , it's very poor lol
Beautiful machine and the trunk is big enough for chicken feed.

Awesome video keep up with a great work and be safe out there 👍 😀
Love the manual but I actually bought the LT1 with 10 speed so I could justify it as a second car to the wife. The 10 speed is sweet.
Need to take it on the highway 😞 test drive !
2023 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 6.2L Supercharged V8 6-Speed Manual RWD Coupe!
You need to get cars out on the open road, driving through a subdivision doesn’t cut it
that Camaro really fast great sport car!
"family car" 🤣😂😅
The gt350 and this car have the same transmission
Dude who the heck do you shift 😮
This is no longer a muscle car. It is a precise and fun track machine
What was the price of this thing $$$
Ur REALLY up late~ greetings from Las Vegas!
Not a 2023. It is a 2020. Ralley green metallic is a 2020 one year only color.
78k
at least they keep some gas in the car unlike LHM Chevy
Sounds mean 😊

Camaro always been not as good as the mustang
Mustangs a girl car and slow
Not everything about power and speed u can't use. The Camaro is an ugly muscle car that will fall apart on its own.
The new Camaro is it a death car the fuel tank right underneath the trunk & nothing protecting it
Listen to the overdrive it makes those burbling sounds. No son it doesn't sound like that because of overdrive! It's a 6speed tremac. No overdrive
That's right the transmission is not why the burbling sounds are heard on decell
