- 👋 The new ZL1 Camaro is a BEAST!! 2023 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 has all the luxuries and all the performance! Today lets check out the new 2023 Chevy Camaro ZL1 with the manual transmission! Listen to that amazing sounding 6.2L V8! Full walkaround and review of the all new 2023 Camaro! This is the newest generation of the Chevy Camaro and is a nice daily drivable two door sportscar! The ZL1 is an awesome trim level that is pretty much the top trim level for the Camaro and you can even ad the 1LE package for a few more goodies! The 2023 Camaro looks great and has an aggressive front end design. It really is a car you need to see in person to appreciate. The rear end is very bold and has a modern look especially with the three dimensional tail lights. I also like how the 2023 tail lights are not red, the clear lens looks great! Seriously, the front bumper is so sick! The V8 models have a different design than the V6 and turbo 4. All look so good in person. The black exterior paint looked so clean with the wheel color and really shows off the brand new 2023 design! Overall I think the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro is a nice car with a lot to offer. It was comfortable, roomy, powerful and looks great! This 2023 Camaro ZL1 review goes over the entire car from inside and out. The interior of the 2023 Camaro was well laid out with minimal buttons with a clean look and feel. Recaro bucket seats add a great touch of performance. And all of the leather and alcantara give it that sporty vibe. Test driving the 2023 Camaro ZL1, the car drove great and has plenty of power. The 2023 V8 Camaro had an amazing exhaust sound too! Sounded great going through the gears. 2023 Camaro ZL1 exhaust also sounded amazing! There were some nice pops and gurgles on the overrun! The manual transmission was easy to drive! The clutch pedal is light and the shifter has great feedback to it! This Camaro also has the recommendation for skipping gears to help save on fuel which is interesting to see! I gave it some gas lol, but only so much I can do in a dealer vehicle! Honestly both are great! Personally I’d get the ZL1 because it has the manual option and more interior space. But the C8 is a good driving car too. Just depends if you need the backseat room for space or people.

Manual is the ultimate drivers car.
Seems like Price would be a huge factor in this for a lot of people. I know it is for me, since the mark-up from dealer and in the used market seems higher on the Vettes. I would say, glad to see you not abusing the car in the test drive. There is some of that already in these videos. Would you really want to pay $80k for a car that Ratti has gone 'on- throttle" like 25 times already, and then let a bunch of prospective buyers go out and "on throttle" the car? I like mine in shrink-wrap if possible. Thanks
Ive daily driven both of these cars. I owned a Manual ZL1, traded it in for a Z51 Package C8, and then ended up trading in the C8 for another manual ZL1 after a few months. It ultimately comes down to preference as the cars have 2 very different driving experiences. The Corvette is very refined (even a bit subdued in my opinion) and has a supercar feel to it. The overall feel of the car is more upscale + sophisticated. The ZL1 feels raw, loud, and powerful. The supercharger, the exhaust, the buttery smooth manual transmission makes you feel like youre driving a beast ( which you are). The C8 was faster and very cool to drive around in, but it wasnt nearly as fun as the Camaro is to drive in my opinion.
Great review, but you did NOT fully release the 650 horses, on your gentile pulls. I bought the 2017 ZL1 new, and sold it a couple years later. Same gen model and almost the exact same car, except for the color & I had the 10-speed automatic. I like manuals, but the automatic is all I could find at the time. It was loaded out. Loved the car for exactly what it was. It was an absolute BEAST. The 2017 had the 50th Anniversary (Camaro) badging on it. Great car for the money!

I love it. To heck with the sunroof. Lately, I have learned sunroof cars have secret drain holes that allow water to leave, and those can clog, causing your car body to fill up with water. That was in my Mercedes, but high enough money lost, to assume it's a problem everywhere. Not real happy with the massive REV MATCH paddles. It seems to me, a person either uses that all the time, or not at all. And once it is set, even if you set it once per drive, the paddles just seem like they occupy more space and attention than they earn. I get the point, that they exist as a cost issue, because they are used by automatic cars quite possibly 100's of times in a drive, and to remove them for a manual car, costs money. But this is a $80,000 car. Rev-match almost seems like something that would be inside the glove box, hidden, like a fuse that would be pulled or not, only once.
Yeah I don't use them much these days. Don't know why they decided to have the paddle from the auto here for rev match. Seems like a weird way to cut costs. But great car overall!

I have driven a 2019 2SS 1LE and a 2023 ZL1 1LE. The 2SS 1LE was a blast to drive. That magnetic ride suspension was amazing for cornering. What surprised me was that the 2023 ZL1 1LE is equally nimble albeit a lot rougher of a ride! How have I done this? Both cars belonged to my son. He traded the 2019 2SS 1LE for his new 2023 ZL1 !LE and it is now in our garage. He ordered it last spring and took delivery a day before his birthday at the end of December. The thing is a total beast. And, it has the bigger wing as well as crazy track tires. That is one thing I think most need to think about. You will probably want to get another set of tires for year round driving, especially if you don't live a a warmer climate. But, the ZL1 is soooo much fun! BTW, I can't believe this dealer put that sticker above the ZL1 badging on the back. It looks ridiculous. No way they should do that to a car like this.

Love the ZL1. Always wanted one. GM has had skip shift for their manuals going back to at least the 90s. If the one your driving doesn’t lock you out then it has a skip shift eliminator installed. Only the message still comes up on the dash.
Oh interesting. We've filmed a few Camaros and C7 Vettes with it. And honestly it pretty much never works. I always seem to go into 2nd with no issues. But I'd delete it if it were my car for sure
@@BrosFOURRSpeed have it in my 17 SS Sedan. It comes on between certain speeds. I don’t have the skip shift eliminator installed yet so I either short shift or hold the gear longer to avoid it.

The only thing that upsets me about the Zl1 is the very close similarities to the SS (cosmetics wise). For such a price jump I just want more futuristic cosmetics within the vehicle. As an owner of an SS the inside of both vehicles look alike. I want the ZL1 but I just wish it was more of a transformation for the 2023 ZL1
Doesnt make much sense as higher trims of any vehicle are always extremely alike interior wise. Only things that typically change is the seats and stearing wheel along with surface finishes.
Front bumper is exclusive to the ZL1 trim and looks quite a bit different from the SS, especially post redesign. Definitely could have used a sportier spoiler though to set it off.
Absolutely gorgeous car, but the ricer tow hook and red interior bits are a little much for an $80k car. Great review!!

Is that speed limit sign always showing the same number? It'll change based on the road you are on. But there's no setting that I know to adjust that.

You’d have to call your insurance and get a quote, I don’t have that answer but they can give you an exact amount.
Black looks great if it would stay clean. Black anodized exhaust tips would look better than chrome. Do think it's one of the meanest looking modern muscle cars and the power to weight is so much more pallable than that of dodge.
I know the pain of having a black car too. They look so good when freshly waxed and cleaned. Drive around the corner and dust is all over it lol

I ordered it through the sales manager but he went out on a medical leave

But I liked the Challenger much better

A 18 year old kid bought the Camaro and paid cash along with 2 super sports

If you drive without your seatbelt in this car does the light and jingle go away? My mustang lets me drive without my seatbelt, after about 10 minutes of driving the light and jingle go away.

I don't see a resemblance to a supra at all! There are a few wheel options as well, not just the ones shown in the video.
