    So glad I’m going back and watching your past videos!!!! Such a cool casting, might have to and this to my wishlist. Nice to know there are 2 interior colors to look at, as well as how the bits and bobs work. Love the color and the details, especially the front and rear of the base being body color. Cool casting and fantastic restoration

    Great job Martin, I know why there’s a spare wheel, it’s for when people like me are restoring them and they drop the wheel under the bench and it disappears never to be seen again😂😂 Nice casting and must have been a lot of fun for kids to play with temps passé, must try and get one, mind you the way I’m going I would deffo forget to put the sunroof in whilst putting it back together🤦🏻‍♂️🤣
    Another excellent restoration, and nice clear instructional video on what goes where and how!👍😊
    Take care, all the best, Nick.

      Thanks nick, you will be OK with the sunroof nick it's bright orange.
      I bet there was a lot of lost wheels and very upset kids.
      You can give the wife a bit part in the videos finding lost parts, my wife is great at that if I can't find it she definitely will.
      Take care my friend

    Hi Martin. Coffee time and another great job enjoyed. I have one of these to play with at some stage. You solved a mystery for me anyway. Recently bought a sunroof for mine and you've demoed I'm going to have to take the whole thing apart to get it in. No easier way unfortunately. Ah well....onwards and upwards 🙂👍
    Love the Golden Jack's cars. I was the kid lost a wheel (temporarily) off my cousin's Hillman Hunter ....I was not popular. Keep the vids coming when you can - myself and the chaps all enjoy them. Keep 'er lit....Mike

      @martindaredare  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mike glad you liked it.
      Sorry yes you have to take it apart, it's the only way. He who Dares wins 😂 I did have a look to see if I could get it to slide, but it wasn't happening.
      Got my bin lorry today plus a yank tank I will send a photo tomorrow,
      Have a good evening.

    G day Martin yet another interesting casting I've never seen those little jacks before. You've got to hand it to Rover every option under the sun including an outside toilet on the boot fold down seat and all. It turned out really good I like the green paint it was good that you had another spare car for parts. I have some castings from spot on I'm biting at the bit to get to but every time I think I'll have some free time something around the house happens or the wife decides she needs to go out shopping lol.Stay safe mate and I'll catch ya on the next one.👍

    Hi Martin we all loved this one you were right with the lighter interior it showed off the sunroof (gave the interior a glow). Me and my brother had these when we were kids we put POLOs in the back and passed them to each other, unfortunately there were not mint as they had a hole in them. All the best from Ian & family. (whats the car Stanley is looking at?)

    What a fantastic casting this is, a simple but effective bit of engineering they had some great engineers on their design teams didn’t they. Besides that Martin you have once again done an immaculate and beautiful restoration on this one buddy I love it , great colour match and choice on the white interior too, did the 2 nd body ever strip? I use the same brand of caustic and like you have noticed if it’s a bottle that has been stood a while it does seem to weaken so I just add more as it gets lower in the bottle to compensate for it, seems to do the trick. Great video my friend take care stay safe mate, George

    • @martindaredare
      @martindaredare  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks George for the kind words
      The other rover spent the night in the liquid stripper, and is now clean, some metallic paint is a pain to get off,.
      Looking forward to seeing your next video take it easy

  • @wendywatson6525
    @wendywatson6525 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Martin,your caustic soda is going lumpy because of the steam from your bread tin goes into the bottle as you pour it out,I use a measure from the wife’s softener bottle,keeps the steam out and you don’t use as much caustic soda

    • @martindaredare
      @martindaredare  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @martindaredare

      No it's the same as the others fraser, so could be used as a proper spare.
