Wow I never knew there were so many pieces to put back in there you could have used a couple extra hands! I thought the Batmobile had a lot of pieces but this one takes the cake! Very nice restoration Martin my friend!

It was my turn to have a little chuckle this time Martin, I did one of these a couple of weeks ago and I was going to upload the video yesterday but changed my mind at the last minute and put up the AEC instead, great minds are still thinking alike lol, I better leave mine for a couple of weeks!😉😊

I like the chrome spray I only tend to use it on the one piece plastic coated parts .

I never had one of these as a kid, right time-frame too. Interesting to see the internal gubbins, ingenious stuff.
I always think the Molotow chrome is too shiny, it looks plasticky - much prefer the spray can. 👍 That red looks pretty close to the original colour. 👌

Thanks for that, I tend not to use the chrome pen, it has its place in the restoration game but in small amounts.

Turned out really Beautiful,i drilled mine apart yesterday only to see the chrome plastic was missing on the left Wheel well,and also on my spare parts car.But good to have an manual now if i can repair it. Thanks.

Great job..I started to restore one of those Martin, only to find the front corner of the chrome frame was completely missing. I'm now waiting to source a donor car and you will be pleased to know I have since been to Specsavers..😀

Hi Martin another tricky one it looked a bit like you were defusing a bomb at the start lol. Excellent job and finish another one for the display case. Looks like you got your turntable clips around the wrong way. at the start of the show you had the comparison intro and at the end you had the car description intro lol it's ok we forgive ya.👍

Looks great, Ive just took one apart and sprayed it a mahogany gold metallic, had to look up the video to check how it went back lol, which colour grey in hycote you using for the base cheers Ian

Hi it wasn't as shiny as the cap but brighter then silver paint it's good for those large plastic parts give it a try it's not expensive.
