Mr. Dare, Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to do a beautiful restoration on an extremely complicated, multi-part diecast Circus Crane Truck! WHEW!!! Love your patience and determination and how you show the hard, tedious parts of the build!

Great restoration, a bit trickier than usual but very enjoyable.
Thanks Jerry, it always seems tricky on camera because of the different things you have to do to keep in shot and showing how things are done.

Hi Martin. Another glorious, fiddley job! Looks great in the end.
Thanks very much, Gerry. Yes, it looks more difficult when on film, trying to keep things in shot and showing the pit falls and what to look out for ,and hopefully encourage new comers to try one .
All the best Martin

Great job on a very difficult model. I think the darker red and blue is a big improvement. AND... I've always found watching videos about cranes to be quite an uplifting experience. (Sorry, I couldn't resist that one.)
🤣🤣 Nice one ,glad you enjoyed it's all good fun .
That was very interesting. Shows how patient you are. Would love see all of the chipperfields vehicles together at some stage. Love my Wednesday evenings to see what magic you have performed
Thanks Michael, glad you enjoy watching, I have a few of the circus vehicles to do so you will definitely see more .
All the best Martin 👍

That was one complicated diecast Martin, it amazes me of how it all works , as always you did a beautiful job on the Circus Crane Truck, patience you definitely have, take care ole friend, see ya on the next one.👋😎🚒🚙🚚🛻🚗
Thanks Jeff, it was a bit tricky but it always looks harder on film .
All the best Martin
Hi Martin a nice one this week. Is looks like the same crane that's on the other circus corgi. All the best from Ian b & family.
Thanks very much, Ian it's really appreciated,
Perfect Job. Many greetings from Germany. 😊
Thanks very much my friend its really appreciated
Great job as always Martin! Fiddly one to do that one. I had the Corgi Scammell tri-deck transporter when I was a kid, and the top part of the cab kept coming off, eventually it got lost, so I only had the bottom part of the unit. Great old toys though.
Cheers Bob yep i have a cab that does the same thing ,bad design.
All the best Martin
Hi mate a bit of a tricky one but well worth it in the end, fantastic job. The darker blue looks a lot better than the light blue. Lovely old casting and like the real full sized trucks the platform was used in so many different variants. Catch you on the next one mate stay safe.👍🏻
Thanks very much Geoff, glad you liked it, my friend. It was a bit longwinded, but we got there in the end ..all the best Martin
Brilliant work Martin, definitely a fiddly one, looks awesome buddy
Thanks very much Tom
Thanks Tom appreciate it my friend
That was a tricky one to do turned out nice tho Martin great job done
Thanks very much Austin, glad you enjoyed it 👍
Lovely job as usual buddy. Looks brilliant. You have the patience of a saint. Regards to you and your family buddy. Looking forward to seeing the next one.
Thanks very much my friend its really appreciated
I’ve always liked that style of cab in the early seventies they were all over the shop ,I think the famous transport designer Micha Black designed it,he also designed the western diesel loco and the 1967 stock for the then new Victoria line in 68,you can see his design clues if you know were to look ,all the best my friend
Mark (encyclopaedia of trivia 😂)
Thanks Mark, good information, my friend ,glad you enjoyed this.
All the best Martin 👍
The new colours are much stronger than the originals - I agree that the lighter blue is a bit insipid. But, for sure, those Scammells are total buggers to strip and reassemble, and yes, I was muttering at you on the video! Clever use of the original tractor unit, by Corgi, though I think the overhang on the crane box looks a bit disproportionate to the tractor wheelbase.
I can't remember when I did my tractor unit but I think once stripped, there were almost 50 individual components - seven wheels and seven tyres with pins and axles is seventeen bits alone! You got the front spring, axle and gearbox casing together a lot quicker than I did, but that crane mechanism was a nightmare! I am so glad you have successfully completed that model, Martin: now, I don't have to! I stopped breathing watching you trying to get the first screw into the crane base! Really nice job, well worth the watching, and looking better than the original.
Cheers fraser yes it was a bit of a pain to put back together, those screws are really tiny, and you need extra hands ✋️, all the best Martin
Martin a lot of work but great restoration.😊
Thanks Anthony it's really appreciated my friend
😊very nice.

Thanks for another nice video, that truck looks lovely,I would love to get one of those, they are not often for sale here but I have a couple other Scammels, flatbettrailer and Carrimore cartransport
Thanks very much, my friend. Yes, these particular versions are hard to find ,especially at the right price.
All the best
Great job Martin 👍🏻
Cheers Mark 🍻
Very cute crane 🚚🚚🔥🔥
Thanks very much my friend
Love that
Thanks very much my friend its really appreciated
Video was too long,so I skipped parts.nice resto in the end.
Yes, it was a bit long I must admit.
All the best Martin
it gets more complicated each time. :) reminds me, I have to re-watch your american lafrance fire engine again... might take me a whole weekend. XD but Lord of the Dinks IS an epic, after all.
anyway, looks nice and shiny again. funny thing with the decals, tho. but everything works again. ^^ and maybe the original blue was sun-bleached?
side note, maybe you can find these cheapo plastic clamps useful they sell at one-pound markets and everywhere like Aldi's. they come in two or three sizes, methinks. could be helpful keeping parts together that are under tension of a spring.
Thanks Lothar, the fire truck is a lot of parts ,but it's the winding gears that is it's week point the rest is straight forward.
Have fun .
All the best Martin
Hi Martin just watch the video that Scammell crane turned out really nice the colour are a lot but then the original more sharper . Just one thing when you put the back wheels back on i think you got them round the wrong way i did not notice it until it was on the turntable that the end so are you going to collect some more of the circus vehicles 👍👌
Ralph
Thanks Ralph, well spotted, I will have a look ,but iam not surprised.
Hopefully do some more ,I have a few here .all the best Martin
I bet those packets of Biscoff are not still there 😂
There's one packet left 🤣
