    You've inspired me...to sit on the couch and binge watch all the videos! My only issue is that you should have spent (I know it easy to spend other people's money) a couple of hundred dollars to a local welder dude to patch in some metal on the worst areas. Bondo really should be used to fill some of those areas that are swiss cheese. Hope you're feeling better BTW.

      Jeff inToronto thanks haha I know I should of had it welded. I took in both doors and both fenders and brought them pic of holes in the body of the car. The estimate was 1200$ lol

    Happy to see your still making content. Loved the video and your jokes are the best. Reminds me a lot of Marty car mods but more down to business and honestly a bit better

    Great video. Next time you need to take out the window crank clip, use an old t-shirt. Fit it between the panel and the window crank and it will push out the clip.

    I love the way you make your videos. Fantastic work bro, take care of yourself.

      Anthony Rose hahaha it's such a simple thing to remove, but for some reason I just couldn't get it. The 2nd door went super fast but the memory card got corrupted and the footage ruined.

    I hope you get back on your feet steadily for a while and be able to do what you want on your datsun. You had problems, the video was delayed but who cares ? I've seen your videos in one go a few weeks ago and i'm really happy to see that you're still alive, and at the same time sharing with us your story.
    Still, i hope you don't get too ill from what you did in the video because you sure worked hard to remove all this stuff ! Nice editing and music, nice joke at the end also :D
    Hope you're good, sincerly, a french guy wh'os looking to get a 280zx.

      Pierre S thank you so much. I'm doing much better and it feels good to be making videos again. My normal car just died on me and so now I'm really driven to get this one done haha

    • @Commodor221
      @Commodor221 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's even more reasons to make it roam the roads again ! Though, i wouldn't dare look at the consumption of fuel during a whole month and the amount of money going in.. Scary.. What did you had as your daily car ? (Mine is actually a Toyotoa corolla AE92 liftback from 1989. 1.6l and is really fun to drive in the mountains of the Alps)

    • @bothellpride1994
      @bothellpride1994  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pierre S it's just a 99 Subaru legacy gt. Surprisingly the datsun gets about 17-25mpg. My Subaru only gets like 17 tops haha. And oh man that sounds amazing! I've only seen some of those roads on shows like top gear, but they look so beautiful and fun!

    • @Commodor221
      @Commodor221 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Subaru's are kinda special for what they drink, that's for sure but she's more recent than the datsun, carburators and injection sure are a day and night difference for fuel efficiency.
      Mine is only 90hp but i can assure you that her easy and gentle clutch is a pleasure to drive around in those moutain pass. If you ever come to france, you're free to get in and drive around or any other car i have ;)

    Hey "Buddy Holly" ! I watched the last video before this one.Im in good health and I'm "Still" working on my 240 and 280( brought into 240 chassis weight spec )
    It takes time,hey If I was a rich man .....but I work then work on my car nights and week ends,hey some times it's to damn hot,or to damn cold ,or I'm to tired to work on it ,I'll look at parts online and make my parts lists and watch eBay for parts.
    People ask, me ,"When will you car be done ?"
    My answer is"when it's done!",they have no clue what it takes to take apart,a car into every single peice,refurbish it, paint it,and refit it allllllllll ,back together. The joy, the absolute joy,of just being able to "push the car "on it's wheels with nothing else in the car,is so damn exciting! No Body Knows! Unless you've done it .....it's a great adventure and a great journey.
    And you,yes even you " Buddy Holly" will acheive " patience" after this build, you will have the patience of a zen monk.....
    " You will feel better, you will over come your health issues" your car ____________ insert name ,is waiting, for you,you have a common bond, your soul is part of it's soul.
    My 240 is Charlie ,( I'm building him for my ex step daughter, it's her dream car, from our video racing days ,when I was married to her mom.She could not believe I had been building her one ,last Christmas ,I showed her her Z in progress, just a stripped out shell.
    I said, see my car? She said wow you have two cars,.?
    I said yeap! Can you tell what they are?
    She said ,no , but they kind of look like a Datsun Z.
    I said yeah!! You wonthe prize, that one the 240Z ,is yours and this one is mine.....!
    She danced around in disbelief, saying ,I never seen one in PERSON!
    It was then ,I realized, she only knew the car from the video game!
    I forgot ,being 19 she may not have seen one on the streets before!!!
    When I buy parts I buy them at the same time to keep the builds even, I want them both finished at the same time. I have the lowering ,springs ,gas shocks, urethane and rubber bushings ,dust guards and bump stops ,painting all the suspension parts to get both cars able to push in and out of the garage for the first time in two years and a few months. I can't wait for her to see, them rolling on new wheels and tires. Waiting on new bolt kits coming in...but I'm EXCITED!!
    Take care and "rock on "
    P.S. she wants to build her engine while I build mine so she learns to work on it herself,I couldn't be happier about that .....!

    • @bothellpride1994
      @bothellpride1994  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      MindDezign haha buddy holly. Yeah people watch too many car shows and think it all happens in 30 min. And that is so cool about your cars! You're step daughter is a lucky one. She's gonna love that car, especially if she learns on it. Cause then she'll know every little thing that goes into it. So cool man ☺

    • @MindDezign
      @MindDezign 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sean Clouse it is Very cool.She just last week end ,gave me a hoodie ,with a white Z in front of trees with a black Z as a sleigh in the moon in the back ground.
      I don't think she has seen much progress in her mind , but I buy stuff all the time and put it away.
      She did see her blue coil springs and my red ones and new shocks and black painted suspension parts.
      But she thinks it's got a really long time left still, before her shell, starts becoming a car. Soon as the bolt kits arrive ,next visited she will be excited, new wheels and tires on new suspension hah ,we all live to see that.
      Maybe ,due to the holidays ,she may be to busy with relatives, and I can get the interior chassis painted ,too,, before she next sees her Z.im sure her eyes will pop.
      Both cars, to save some dollars will be white ( urethane Brilliant White). But hers will have blue racing seats, mine will be red .
      Blue diamond pattern vynle
      On gearbox tunnel .Blue spark plugs wires,mine same but, in red.
      It would be a good ,thing to the both of us to see us that leap closer. !I work on parts like window trim and glass polishing wrap them and hide them away for later .
      So she doesn't know ,these cars will appear to fly together.
      I'm doing final body prep after it's on wheels rolling so I can keep sanding dust outside much as I can.Ive done alot of body work, as well so, they should be in paint,the, outside main shell rather quick after the interior is painted.Cant wait to set the quarter windows in fresh brilliant paint and rehang the hatch.
      Looking forward to your next vid ,bro.Happy holidays.
      P.S. Both getting new windsheilds ,so that will really make the cars feel like cars again .and look brand new!

    Sono innamorato della Z s30, purtroppo in Europa non se ne trovano...
    Seguo i tuoi lavori da tempo e sono contento che procedano, però i buchi di ruggine non si chiudono con lo stucco!! Specialmente le zone più compromesse!
    Non hai una saldatrice?

    • @bothellpride1994
      @bothellpride1994  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      GTman1972 si lo so. il bondo non ha fissato i fori. ma non ho un uso saldatore. Potrei essere in grado di prendere in prestito uno più tardi. ma per i piccoli punti, mi metterò i fogli in fibra di vetro sul retro e poi applicare bondo. im ancora imparare haha. grazie per la punta!

    • @bothellpride1994
      @bothellpride1994  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Miloš Surla I don't have a welder. But yeah I'm realizing that now. What about using fiberglass on the backside and then using bondo on the front?

    • @milossurla8150
      @milossurla8150 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sean Clouse I'm in the process of restoration similar Jap classic and previous owner bondoed wholes on the doors and wings and all that repairs are a mess, I can send you photos of those. I think that best solution (and maybe only "right" solution) would be finding some CO2 welder and close holes with "metal".
