What a difference a thorough scrub can make! It looks great now. Hopefully the sunroof didn't leak, too. It's a great starting point for a mechanical and cosmetic restoration. And there's something beautiful about watching you work, not in a weird way. Like watching a ballet dancer, I don't know how to describe it.
Hi! I totally get what you mean. I’m a civil engineer by training and spent over 15 years in construction, always fascinated by processes. Filming these videos made me realize how much I enjoy washing cars and creating content-it’s a way to express the creativity we all have inside us.
Yes, there are plenty of issues, starting with the paint and replacing some of the damaged metal in places. The brake lines might need replacing, and there's also an electrical problem to address.
Judging by your profile picture, you have excellent taste in cars! I absolutely love vehicles from the 60s to the 90s-it's the golden era of engineering, in my opinion.
I enjoy watching these detail vids. The methods and tools, surprise me as they are used. When the soap, foamy stuff goes on the whole car and only one section at a time can be worked as 4/5 ths of the heavy application drips off the car? The cost and time don't make much sense. Entertaining.
Bro, I spent six months searching for this car-posting in groups, reaching out to friends, driving around, and talking to owners. It's a whole process, and a lot of work goes on behind the scenes that isn't obvious.
For a video that long I figured you would have buffed the paint to make it really shine! Why didn't you do that? Still looks like a less dirty supra! 😎
It's spray-painted, and you can see the paint chipping off in the video. There's a lot of bodywork to be done, it's already started to rust unfortunately. So maybe next time there will be a polish.
@@gerry-p9x This car also has a few electrical and body issues, which is normal since it's almost 40 years old :) I hope there's a second part where we get it started and take it for a drive.
Hi! The car's body was spray-painted, and some areas need metal replacement. The owner wants to sell it as it is. I'm considering buying it. If I do, it will become a project for TH-cam.
@@JoeUrdiales Thank you, brother, for such a kind comment! And thanks for subscribing. This video really took off, and now I’m thinking about what to film next. :)
Yes, Toyota, especially the models before 2000, really made some legendary cars. The 1UZ-FE engine, for example, was limited in power due to regulations, but engineers designed it in a way that made it easy to modify after release. With simple upgrades like turbocharging, you could easily push it past 400 horsepower, and some builds have reached 700 horsepower or more. This is one of the reasons why these cars are still highly valued today.
Spero che il proprietario dell'auto ti abbia pagato bene per questo lavoro. Perché ci vogliono molte ore per pulire una macchina ridotta in quelle condizioni.
The owner is busy with his own matters, and he suggested buying this car as a project for TH-cam. I'm considering it, but as a beginner TH-camr, I don't have the budget for such projects :( I really want to, though.
Hey man, sorry, I'm new to TH-cam and thought 20 minutes might be too long, so I decided not to include the interior cleaning. But honestly, it’s not looking great. I might edit another version with the interior because, based on the stats, people seem to prefer longer videos. Thanks for the support
People don't realize how much work goes into detailing a car. This was just a 20 minute video, it takes a regular detailer 2-4 hours to detail a car.
Thanks, bro, for this comment. I started washing this car at 8:30 AM and finished close to 5 PM. No breaks
I remember seeing this car on the show room floor back in 1985. Wow I wanted one.
Yes, I love cars like these; they have a history.

They were nice cars my mom had a white 85 in the 90s when I was a kid
One of the best body style supras
Wow, that supra looks nice. I’ve always wanted a supra.
Thanks for the support! We haven’t started the car yet-still waiting for the parts
MUCH BETTER, she still needs a lot more love though 👍

No random dude yapping in video just car care/fix thats all we need.

Exterior, spray to get wet wth water, then use compressed air. Scratching will be less.
I don’t understand how people can find things like this just sitting around and people just come across them like that I wish I could do that

Favorite body 2 gen. Please do a follow up video.
Thanks, bro! The follow-up depends on the owner of the car. He wants to sell it, but it needs care and parts
Should have presoaked it first in apc to release most of the algae easier then to clean not so grabby otherwise good job
Thanks for the advice, brother!
Nice! That's a '84
Yes, I checked, this specific car is from 1984, an oldie, 40 years old!
I like this bodystyle most..🎉🎉

Try using electric leaf blower yo temove crud leaves offa var before wash
Thank you, I initially blew them off with compressed air, but a lot of wet leaves stuck together.
Will you do the next video, ( step) of buffing and waxing that supra??

you made that look really hard, some decent products and that would have been done so much easier
Hi there! What products would you recommend?
easy for you to say, keyboard warrior
@ArturStone I'm in the uk, where are you ? I use meguires shampoo, auto glym snowfoam and bilt hamber wheel cleaner and starna gloss pre wash
I'm in Canada, and I mostly use Meguiar's, Chemical Guys, Turtle Wax, and Mothers.
What about the engine bay

Of course, you just need the will! :)
What’s with the awful wobbling warbling music? Ruined the video for me.
We'll keep that in mind for the future.
