My first drone. Only other RC critter I have is my CHERISHED _Syma S107HE_ micro copter. Starting to love this little critter just as much. I now have my two go-to's: _HolyStone_ for drones and _Syma_ for my copters. But these two are just fine for now. Your video helped me a lot - I was doing everything along with you and appreciate the tutorial. Subscribing and gonna check here often for research and just to watch some neat little flying vids. I'll likely never have a drone much bigger than this one, if any other. This one's fine for my morning after-work flying around outside for the fascinated kitty cats, haha.
When i was a kid i loved buying those rubber band powered balsa planes at the 7 elevens etc... than when i was older they came out with those plastic planes that used rechargable nicad battery and had flight coarse discs... only helicopters for kids had a battery pack controller and a cable connected to a toy heli...Yes kids today have some fantastic hi tech toys!

Great review. This is actually my 7th drone, but I needed something to practice with in the "bad" months. My simulator is nice, but nothing like having to react instantaneously while flying this little thing around all my stuff. A couple little quirks, but fun. And the price is right. Thank you.
Yes, this one is a the top of the list of beginner budget drones! Just remember the brushed motors are driven by plastic gears and if they are ever in a bind they break, so kill it as soon as it crashes of use prop guards. Thanks for watching

Bought a beast3. Man its been a nitemare so damn particular.
Today it goes up than pulls a hs340. In backyard drifts into trees walls.

Excellent point you make about buying an inexpensive drone to learn to fly first. Also, for beginners like me, maybe you could do a short video on new FFA laws. Im wanting to buy a quality drone but not sure if i wanna be subject to those regulations/fines… Anyway really love your videos. Perfect for beginners or those with a budget!

yes any drone that goes 90 plus can be a handful and disappear in a second... I have a 250 size racing drone that has almost been lost a few times... i only flew it line of sight not fpv...

After learning to fly LOS (line of sight) try to practice just looking at the screen. Try to circle around you in both directions while having it face you. But the most fun is having the dogs chase it all over the house!
Hello James, I'm still flying the HS340. I try to find a day when the wind is calm so I I can fly it slow and practice without it getting away from me. Today when I started it I noticed one rotor was not turning. I bump that rotor with my finger and it started. I flew for a few minutes and then the rotor stopped. I could tell that the small pinion seamed to have some debris in it because it would always stop at the same point. I tried blowing with a can of dust spray but could not get it free. I remove the rotor and then the gear cover. With a small flat point screwdriver I gently scraped between each tooth of the pinion and the debris was removed although it was so small I could not see it. Thought this might help someone with the same problem. I enjoy your channel and some day may move up to a better drone. Thanks!

What charger are you using for this? Seems everything I have is over 2 amps. Is there some sort of intelligent charger you can get that has overvoltage protection?

Thanks for this review. It helped me decide to get one for myself. I came back to this video to see if I was missing something because I couldn't get mine to calibrate. I discovered that the left stick has to be placed VERY precisely for the calibration to kick off. Did you or any of your viewers experience this? Wondering if there is something wrong with my remote.
No, i have bought a dozen of them and everyone loves them. Be sure to push up and down to set the gyro and then pull down on both to calibrate, even every time you crash it. Thanks for wathcing

I just bought a couple if beginner drones and I am really enjoying them, a little difficult to get the hang of but getting better. My biggest gripe with these drones is the downright abysmal battery life...about 8 minutes flight time.
Are there any drones that have a significant increase in flight time?
No, that all your going to get with these small batteries, but its way better than it was just 5-6 years ago when it was about 3 minutes. To have a bigger battery it would have to be a bigger drone and that defeated the purpose. I love the flight time of the MiniSE at 30 minutes and its only $299

I say HolyStone makes great drones,& that I would gladly review drones for them.My name is Michael Pemantel & I live in Knox,NY.Hope I win because the drone that I have now isn't that good,already had a gear break after only 5 flights.It's a ZLL SG907 Pro,that I was gifted for Christmas.It flies well,takes good photos,but with the video is shaky.I'm looking to upgrade,but being disabled limits my funds to very little.I love photography,& have a good Canon digital camera,but I'm always looking to try something different,like "light painting",& motion blur.I like to think outside of the box,& I think that's why I received the drone.It also helps(for me)to relieve stress,& my grandson loves grandpa's "helicopter"😁Tried to tell him it's a drone,but 3yo boys know more than a 51yo man😂😂😂😂You & your wife have a great day,happy flying,& fly safe🚁PS.they really need a drone emoji😁 #wheresthedroneemoji

I bought one of these for my son for Christmas. I tried it out yesterday and today with no wind but had several problems. It would fly great in every direction but forward. It also kept drifting and following the trim direction did not help much.
Does this happen much and do you think I could have just got a lemon?
I plan on sending it back and am considering something different like a Deerc or the Sanrock U61
When you set the gyro calibration it’s important to make sure it’s on a flat surface away from metal. I have bought and given a dozen of these away. Great training drone. With out setting the gyro correctly it’s really hard to fly.

I purchased this drone. I am learning to maneuver it. I did have a problem with my Android 8 phone not being able to communicate with the camera. Fortunately I have a tablet with Android 10 that works fine.
I really dont know much about Android, other that DJI uses it on their smart controllers, glad you got it going!

What the differences could be with this drone to HS430 and like a Hilldow D12, is this close to hs430 or big different? It's clear that best is start with full prop guard drone (like hs210) but I can't buy them all, that's why I have dilemma what to choose next lol ;) your videos really helps, thank you
The D12 is half the size, but the Newer HS430 is the way to go at this price point now, twice the flight time and a much better camera.

It seems pretty cool but I don't like it only has one LED on its back instead of different colors on front and back so you can tell which direction the drone is pointing.
It might not matter to someone using headless mode all the time. Just see where the drone is.
At that weight and price point I’m sure they can’t deck it out, do you have one? They fly so well!
@@b4ugo I was considering buying one. Already have the mini HS210. It's the 1st one I ever flew. That tiny thing has green light on front and red on back so when I pitch forward I know where it's facing and where it will go. I'm afraid with this HS340 if it's not flying very close to me I won't be able to tell and could screw up and lose it.
How long of flight time do you actually get out of this drone?
About 7-9 minutes, but, they are easy to change and it comes with three!

It will try to land, but if you keep making it stay up it will eventually fall. It will beep at you when it gets low, I think it’s 30%

No sir! The only drone that I trust with obstacle Avoidance anyway is the SKYDIO2 (i love mine) but they are $2,600

Holy Stone isn't marketing this drone for the Canadian consumer. It's actually not the first time I've been blocked purchasing HS drones I had been interested in. And like I said in my latest post, the HS210 is only available in RED for Canadian customers - no blue or green for us!
I've expressed disappointment to Holy Stone directly about this, but they just shrug it off. I don't mean to be so negative about Holy Stone, but I think it's fair to share my experiences. And just to say, at least there's good DJI/Tello support where I'm at even if it might be more expensive overall.

@@b4ugo Well, that'd be interesting to find out. At this time, I'm pretty confident flying the HS210 and want to expand into LOS Freestyle. I was interested in Holy Stone's racing drone (can't remember the name/number, but I called it 'The Bee'), but I can't find it anymore, so I think it's been discontinued now. I'm intending to save my pennies for some other sub-250 gram freestyler. I think my husband is more interested in camera drones, so he might like the HS340 more.

What speed was the wind the day you flew it(the calmer day)? Was it a light breeze or no air at all? I really am considering this drone, but this answer will hugely affect whether I buy it. Please respond. Thanks!
It dose well in the wind because it’s so small, but it does not have GPS so you need to be a good pilot to fly outside if there is wind. I always go straight to speed 3 outside. There was light winds that day, probably 5-6mph

Yes sir, there are lot of FPV sim’s and all kinds for drone, DJI has a nice free one, but honestly its easier to learn on a mini budget drone
