    I just purchased my HS700E and am looking forward to flying it. Your review is filled with great suggestions,. Easy to follow and understand. I especially liked when you described what each one of the remote control function buttons do. Plain and simple.

    I just got one of these HS700E's, a big upgrade from my (3 none HS) $20 mini and a $50 & $130. My $50 one flew away over a lake never to return and my $130 flew away and crashed into a house totaling it. I love the HS, so easy to control, the pics and video are a huge upgrade and will be a nice addition to family pics and videos. Like you mine would not turn or spin once up against the set limits till I took it out of beginner mode, then it did everything I asked it to. I ordered mine after watching your review, thanks!

    Good morning 😃
    I purchased an HS720E out of pure lust for it after I watched your review. I don’t drive any longer and haven’t had transportation to the closest field large enough to Fly. The itch to fly because so bad I had to try again. I let it hover the first and felt it would be a great place to start. Well I armed the motors and tapped the take off. It hovered at 3 feet and I was loving it. Then it quickly flew up and bumped the ceiling dropped down and took a hard right under the coffee table and tangled with a little plastic tray that my lunch comes in. By this time I had tried to shut the motors down but couldn’t. I couldn’t pick it up because I would have had to reach through the props. When it stopped I picked it up and the lights were all blinking at the same time.
    When I tried to take it up again only one motor would work. When I tried again all props would twitch a little but only one prop would spin. No visible scratches or damage to the props.
    Any ideas, suggestions, or anything at this point.
    I am 74 and my learning curve is now quite large.Thank you and your followers for your time and patience.😵‍💫😳🧐
    Joe

      @@b4ugoI too share your plight. I'm in a wheelchair from long covid, home confined and my yards are small and bordered by tall trees or bamboo. So I have a strong urge to rise above the trees and "look around". My first outdoor drone 720g was too much too soon including that delicate 3 axis gimbal which I lost on impact then Beginner mode panic crashed it in neighbor's KUDZU somewhere. Hopefully the vertically oriented 700e will do me better plus I'm investing in a beacon/light gadget "Vifly"!
      To enjoy indoor flying I suggest buying HS420 ! It is a palm sized drone with tiny camera which can help you find it under furniture etc! But it is very stable and easy to fly plus it's 4 propellers are in "cages" so they are very hard to damage unless thread gets caught in them hitting a curtain or such. The cage covers also protect the "brain" of the drone(red body) from upside down falls on the floor! & HS210 (no camera, but tiny, sticky batteries) is also great fun indoors very smooth flying!!

    I received one of these today as a gift, great review btw. Interestingly you mention this is a great second drone - I already have the holystone hs510 which was my first ever drone and I'm now quite confident when flying that, brilliant little drone for the price but I don't need two drones so I've sold that.
    I can either keep this 700E drone (I've yet to open it) or sell it and instead pay a bit extra and buy the DJI mini 2. I'm not sure what to do, but at under 250g for the mini 2, it's more suitable for the casual drone user.

    • @b4ugo
      @b4ugo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      there is a reason the Mini2 is the best selling drone in the worlds but Holy Stone lately is really stepping up their game. Have you seen the new MiniSE coming out for $299? I think tha might change everything in the drone world

    • @adzmanchester
      @adzmanchester 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@b4ugo Knew nothing about the mini SE, when is it expected? Drone laws here in the UK changed on Dec 31st 2020 and it seems for a casual flyer the sub 250g drones are the way to go although we still need to get a flyer ID and an operator ID - these are cheap and simple to obtain. I will probably sell the HS700E, any other sub 250g drones I should look at because atm I'm leaning strongly towards the mini 2 but my God it's expensive!

    So this is my 2nd HS700E. But for some reason my gimble will not move up and down. It was the same way for my other one o had which it crashed while I was doing a foliage video. Idk why it crashed but it did. But eventually after about 5 uses before she finally crashed, and crashed hard that is…the gimble began to work. But this new one I got back in November of last year. So I hadn’t gotten to fly till this weekend. Do you know why this is???? And how do you get them to build the trust to fly the drones for them????!! I’m a 42 year old veteran. This 700E seems interesting, The only thing I did not see in the video was the "smoothness" of the up and down gimbal. My 700D has a very jerky and lag in movement more like jumping. No, there are no interchangeable batteries with Holy Stone, each one is proprietary. Pretty sure I went over Compas Calibration, yes, all GPS drones need it, that way the Satillites know what is the fron and back of the drone, kinda like when you start driving your car and the GPS says turn around because it didn’t know what direction your car was facing.

    First time flying (HS720E) I took it to a field behind a school in the area that had a huge open area. For some reason I could not get it to do what I wanted as far as forward, backward, flying left or right. At times no matter what I did with the joy sticks it would just hover. I did take it out of beginner mode but for some reason it seemed to keep resetting itself. There are a few towers at the school and in the lot were their buses park and also on top of a water tower that are for communication. Wondering if the signals from these towers were interfering with the wi-fi signal of the drone. Also the app was completely different than ones in your videos and other videos. Could not adjust any of the camera functions for saturation, balance, etc. Hope this was not to involved but I like the way you explain things and really like your videos. Hope you will do one on the 720E soon.

    I say HolyStone makes great drones,& that I would gladly review drones for them.My name is Michael Pemantel & I live in Knox,NY.Hope I win because the drone that I have now isn't that good,already had a gear break after only 5 flights.It's a ZLL SG907 Pro,that I was gifted for Christmas.It flies well,takes good photos,but with the video is shaky.I'm looking to upgrade,but being disabled limits my funds to very little.I love photography,& have a good Canon digital camera,but I'm always looking to try something different,like "light painting",& motion blur.I like to think outside of the box,& I think that's why I received the drone.It also helps(for me)to relieve stress,& my grandson loves grandpa's "helicopter"😁Tried to tell him it's a drone,but 3yo boys know more than a 51yo man😂😂😂😂You & your wife have a great day,happy flying,& fly safe🚁PS.they really need a drone emoji😁 #wheresthedroneemoji

      I like the 700E better, its a couple of years newer so it’s performs better and has intelligent batteries. But, the problem with both of them now is that DJI has released the MINI SE at $299 which I think is way to cheap. At that price point the Holy Stones don’t come close to the performance of a DJI’s.

    I just received a HS700E for Christmas...
    I have question about the image size..
    On the camera...it does not seem to take a large file size
    I have tried 2.7 and 4 k
    I am getting off the SD card in 4k 3840x2160 file size 872.2kb
    The image just does not look very good on my computer screen
    It looks ok on the small phone screen
    I did not see where there is a option to increase the file size
    or change the size from 16.9
    If I take a picture off my regular camera size 3648x2736 file size 3.5mb
    It looks fine on the computer screen
    that is difference from 872.2kb to 3.5mb
    How can I get higher resolution?
    The same for the video files
    Any ideas?

      Pictures yes, video’s no, even though it shoots 4K, there would have to be no wind and you would have to be a great pilot to get that shot. I think for the price there is nothing like it for new. You could find a used DJI Mavic 1 or Mini but I would be careful. Actually you may find a Phantom4 for around $400-$500 and that’s a beast of a drone for that. Flies better in the wind than a thing. I bought a P4 pro (1 inch sensor) for $400
