you forgot to say a great selling point James. you can charge the controller while you use it, so if you have a portable power bank, ( and you need one if you dont) low controller power is not a problem ! a feature not on all drones, and not even on ones 3 times as much. truth be told. my first one was defective( camera tilt) then I got it stuck in a tree from running the battery too low ( another rookie mistake) then it fell from the tree into the pond, the replacement 2nd one I lost.... another newbie mistake. but it was my first drone and a good one to start outside with.
Thanks, didn’t think about that, but if it’s charged it will go all day. The more I flew it I liked it. It just takes some getting used to. Not perfect but then it’s not $1,000’s of dollars. But the camera was really pretty good

Great video My wife just got me one of these for my birthday yesterday.I use to fly mini rc helicopters years ago but stopped for whatever reason.I have a feeling that a more expensive one will be headed my way I the near future.I love the outdoors so I know this will be alot of fun

Nice review! I have to say I have this drone and am not really a fan. I found it to be very squirrelly and hard to control which I think would be hard for a beginner. When in the high speed, there is a very perceptible delay in the drone responding to stick inputs. Sometimes it would just refuse to calibrate the compass. I noticed it didn't in your video. For just $50 or $60 more, there are GPS drones that can be had that fly much better IMHO. I do love the form factor and I REALLY wanted to like this drone :) There is a "D" version of the HS175 coming out that has brushless motors. Perhaps that version will address some of the shortcomings of this model.

Should i return my HS175D in exchange for a HS360s? I trust your opinion 👌 I plan on flying the drone around a mountain for exploring. I want to use a drone for hiking to help scope out areas to check out. I plan to fly the drone in eye sight view. The HS360s has no wifi connectivity is the only reason i would want the HS360s. But it seems the HS175D has better features.

I noticed you were not using the iPhone with the controller. I have been trying to use the phone and the controller and I’m finding I loose the Wi-Fi connection pretty fast. The video freezes and I can’t tell when the video is recording or stops. I’ll check with Holy Stone and see if I’m missing something. Other than that I have enjoyed this drone.
I use the phone, but sometimes just dont hook it to the controller, just set it to the side, I dont use any of the app controlls, seemd to work better to just use the controller, I did just get a cheaper phone to use just for drones, just hate dropping my Iphone13, is there something near you that could interfer with the signal? funny if I fly by garage it soea the same thing because there is a wifi repeater there. have you tries a different device?

I just bought a HS 175D. Never had a drone before. I bought it cause it was on sale on Amazon. plus some gift cars that I had really lower the price down. Doing research on how to operate it. I found your very good instructional video, where I learned about the HS210 which I'm planning to get so I can learn and train with. I already landed on a tree on my first flight with the 175D. JAJAJAJA. Fortunately I was able to retrieved it safe and sound. But I did not buy this for fun. I want to go in to drone services business .Real State, Roofing inspection, and perhaps social gatherings recording. I know I would need something on the high very end, but that's exactly the reason I bought this one. So I can learn before destroying something really expensive. Plus this one has all the whistle at such a lower price. But I do have some physical challenges, so I was wondering if we can communicate through email, and I'd explain you better. Also want to know if you provide more hands on training. Thks.

I'm thinking of getting the bugs 12 as the 16 has a slight issue with fpv signal from drone to phone dropping on and off when drone is flown out even at short distance. Hopefully see what the new bugs 19 is like before buying.
As before I have been trying the HS175. It was breezy today and even though I wasn't intentionally sending it out, it seemed to get carried off by some wind. I had hoped the gps would make it manageable. Now, I'm new at this. Could there be a setting, as in compass configuration or the like that I'm not setting? I will do a full reset, and try some calmer days. It also appeared to be forced downward and skim the ground. I was alarmed. Part of the game I suppose. Thx.

I was not able to Complete the set up. After Turning the controller on I was not able to get the drone to the app to calibrate. I rotated and rotated but the light remained red and I was not prompted to proceed to the next stage
That happened to me once, It would not work with my Iphone, so I tried it on my Ipad and it worked. Then after that it would work on my Iphone. I thought about mentioning it in the video but I’m still not sure it wasn’t user error, lol. Do you have another phone or Ipad you could use?
I just bought one of these on eBay. New for $127. But it looks like it is white I color? Does that mean anything is different than the one you are reviewing. It is the hs125?
The 510 is much faster and a blast to fly, seems more solid, The 175 has longer flight time, but I really enjoy the 510 more. Even though its a bit older

Ok, that’s the DJI Osmo 2, I have bought 2 of them for $80 a pice, they work great. There is a easy to use app also. I’ll do a review on it soon! There is a newer Osmo3

I have the D10 and actually making a review on it now, I also have the D50 but have never flown the D20, ill see if they will send me one but all of Holy Stone/Deere (same company) drones fly very well, for the price right now the HS340 is my favorite and the HS210 is the best starter/beginner drone ever. I don’t think he’s budget but Drone should be measured by wind resistance like the more expensive drones. But it does really good and winds up to 10 to 15 miles an hour. It’s never going to get good video with not having a multiple Axis gimbal. Thanks for watching
I got this drone and on 2nd day, when it is flying around 16mtrs height, suddenly, GPS mode is lost (I've been flying in the middle of the city) , a lil bit of gust came from the other side and the drone flew off without control and fell into the lake 500mtrs away. Auto return home function when out of range or 'return to home' button didn't work at all. I had a very shitty experience and NO DRONE NOW. I'd recommend not to buy these unreliable products. Better save up and get a DJI.
It is a budget wifi if drone, I advise to put your phone in Airplane mode to stop outside interference with the GPS, or, when flying around a lot of interference (like is a busy city) fly it with GPS off. I know its tuff, but Wi-Fi can get interference

Start slow, but always learn the orientation of a drone with a HS210 mini drone, it’s hard to learn outside and in the wind with a midsize drone

Have you tried a different device? Make sure its the proper unit
Nice review! But it doesn't have a gimbal. That's basically a moving camera, it doesn't add any stabilization.

What was the range on it? Is there mapping on the app if you lose line of sight? What is the total flight time per battery?

No, the 175 is a light gray, the 175D is black, the only difference is the D has brushless motors. You got a great deal on a GPS drone, fly safe!

I don’t think he’s budget but Drone should be measured by wind resistance like the more expensive drones. But it does really good and winds up to 10 to 15 miles an hour. It’s never going to get good video with not having a multiple Axis gimbal. Thanks for watching

I got this drone and on 2nd day, when it is flying around 16mtrs height, suddenly, GPS mode is lost (I've been flying in the middle of the city) , a lil bit of gust came from the other side and the drone flew off without control and fell into the lake 500mtrs away. Auto return home function when out of range or 'return to home' button didn't work at all. I had a very shitty experience and NO DRONE NOW. I'd recommend not to buy these unreliable products. Better save up and get a DJI.
It is a budget wifi if drone, I advise to put your phone in Airplane mode to stop outside interference with the GPS, or, when flying around a lot of interference (like is a busy city) fly it with GPS off. I know its tuff, but Wi-Fi can get interference
Absolute crappy drone I own this and I sent it right back. Major toilet bowling loses GPS connection.
