Fun fact: here in Poland where I live, we can buy suppressor without ANY paperwork, even if you dont have a gun. But you need a ton of paperwork if you want a gun.

Walmart wouldn't sell them either way, they're anti-gun and won't sell any handguns, handgun ammo, or center-fire semi-automatic rifles. In fact I discovered semi recently that they don't even sell 5.56 or 7.62x39 anymore. Any 380 is only hunting ammo they don't even sell M80 ball. They also won't sell you a gun unless you're 21 and you have an instant proceed on your NICS check

Suppressors should be considered a health and safety item, unregulated and tax free.
hell better yet they should be urged and strongly suggested. i love my muzzle break on my 308 but if i go to an indoor range i not only feel like an asshole but i know for sure i am one XP. even with inner ear foamies and over earmuffs that damned thing is LOUD!!! one of the biggest reasons i am considering a suppressor is so i can enjoy indoor ranges when it is to nasty go out to the great outdooors for some plinkin...

How is a suppressed gun “safer and healthier” exactly?
I bought some suppressors through Silencer Central. They definitely help make the process easy, but just be prepared to wait and wait and wait for the ATF approval. I ordered one last August, and I’m still waiting. The eForm process was supposed to speed this up, but it seems it hasn’t. That’s not Silencer Central’s fault, but you should be aware of this before purchasing.
Yep, if it were not for the silly regulations, suppressor companies that are efficient like Silencer Central would probably be shipping out orders the same day they come in. It would be just like a typical Amazon Prime order; on your doorstep in a day or two.

When the ATF first rolled out the eForm service, I put in for a suppressor right away and it took just a little over 90 days. My most recent suppressor took a little over 9 months to get approved. Both were purchased via eForm with a trust.

But, and there is always a but, you can buy a suppressor in most shoppes there. Yes, I spelled it that way because, you know, you must uphold the crown. Sniff Sniff
Zach is the man who helped me over the phone with my purchase last year. I’m thankful he talked me out of my original selection. Dealing with SC was a very good experience but it’s outrageous that free men and women have to go through this process to satisfy “the government “.
It's a shame that hearing protection requires a tax, fingerprints, and long waiting period.

It's even worse in video games. Take the Hitman games for example, suppressors are magical devices that allow you to take out a column of enemies from behind one by one without alerting anyone. It not only makes the gasses silent, it silences the clapping bolt and ejected casings. Meanwhile if you toss a coin onto grass everyone within 50 feet will hear it and find it suspicious.

@@scenes3177 what I'm trying to say is that suppressors shouldn't be so expensive. Most suppressors should only be $40-50 but because they're a regulated and heavily taxed item they bring exorbitant prices and you also have to register them with the government and all nfa rules apply...no thanks
@SceneS the price is more than it should be. In many countries if you can own a firearm you can own a silencer and they don't cost anything close to what they cost here.

I bought the banish 30 in march of this year. I’m hoping to get it in nov. I can go to any gun store here In WI. and buy a rifle or pistol and walk out the door with it, but to buy a muffler for it takes an act of GOD. Defund the ATF, they are no longer functional or needed. Another fine example of our gov. Wasting our tax dollars.

Not answering for Scott, but I’m not a big fan of suppressors either.. using pretty much the “nicest”/most expensive/supposed to be the best suppressor on the market, it really doesn’t make all that much difference. Only lowers the volume of the shot from a rifle a few decibels, I still need earplugs/muffs for my ears not to hurt and ring.. so for my needs, suppressors really don’t help enough to make a difference. Now if you put a can on something like a .45 ACP, you’re actually going to get something pretty quiet that’s almost literally silent. And that’s a good use for a suppressor. But for me, they just really don’t do much at all and I think suppressors are majorly hyped up in the US because they’re so hard to acquire. But as someone who’s put thousands of rounds thru suppressed bang-sticks, suppressors really don’t do enough to make a difference, again for me personally

Life is good.. and less loud. But not quiet. My DD mk18 556 only drops about 30db from 163 to 133. If it wasn’t for the cost and how common the ammo.. things actually would be in the “no ear protection zone” with subsonic 300 blackout and a RC2.

My Banish 30 arrives tomorrow and even though I've been waiting since August (Thanks ATF) I have called Silencer Central with tons of random and dumb questions over that time and everyone I've talked to was not only super friendly and helpful, but very knowledgeable on suppressors and were actually willing to give me their honest opinions on things, which most company support reps would never do.
Why TF HAVE I BEEN WAITING OVER A YEAR AND YOU GOT YOURS IN 9 MONTHS...? UGHHHH

Ive always been confused over the life of a suppressor. Ever since asking an SAS soldier at an exhibition in Aldershot back in the day 1971 to be precise. There was a Sterling sub machine gun leaning up against the tent they were in along with a purplr Austin Champ. The Stering had a suppressor fitted to it and I asked a few questions about it, one was the life os the suppressor. "About 200 rounds" was ther reply. WHAAAT ?!! So what kind of life do you get from commercial suppresors. I guess a Glock 20 4th Generation's supprssor would last a lot lot less than a Glock 19 suppressor, Any advice on this please ?

Legislation passed to “protect” the public. Typically only in democrat run cities/states with high gang violence and mass concentration of minorities. I can vouch - they are the best at customer service! They personify customer service! I manage a rural property in Wyoming. It's critical to have a tool for dealing with ground burrowing critters without spooking nearby livestock. They had the tool we needed, and it's valued just as much as the tractor!
I bought mi can and made all the paper work and photo update on a Friday night. A week later ATF sent me an email telling me they got the application. That email was on a Monday. The ATF got me approved the next Thursday. Only 3 days. 🎉😂

Yeah, but unfortunately, about half the people in the United States seem to love big government and being controlled. The ATF and other agencies that overreach are symptoms of these voting patterns and approval, which makes it very difficult to be optimistic about the future of freedom.
Should just be able to order to your home....but I would never use one anyways as I love the noise, and making it quiet is lame....same with cars...make um loud and proud boys!

A suppressor being "illegal" in two areas in America doesn't make it unlawful. No man nor woman has rights over another, so a corporation can have no rights even more so over the living. A suppressor is simply a piece of metal which hurts no one, and violates none of nature's laws. This becomes even clearer once one learns that their rights are inherent and inalienable, don't emanate from a piece of paper or a corporation, and certainly don't give a damn where one lives.

The regulation around suppressors is so incredibly frustrating. I bought a suppressor at my LGS last October. Still waiting.
I understand that some countries, like Ireland, allow you to buy a suppressor over the counter and take it home that same day, just like a magazine. In fact, it's considered impolite to NOT use a suppressor when you're shooting. I imagine our gun rights are overall better than Ireland's, but that doesn't mean they don't do SOME things right. All a suppressor does is protect your hearing. You should not have to wait a goddam year to buy one.

@@paulis7319 they should already been less expensive. These companies upcharge so much. it takes little effort to make a tube with baffles. They could be selling cans for 100$ a pop to 200$ but instead they charge 3-4x the cost.
