Most entertaining and informative video I’ve ever seen on suppressors. Would highly recommend this for first time silencer buyers. Would love to see something similar when talking about the different mounting attachments for rifles. Like the difference between key mount and direct thread. Great video!
Thanks so much! The goal was to help first timers out, so they get a good silencer the first time and have positive experiences. We are going to do a mounting system video soon!
I have no idea why this random question just came to mind, but it's a question of curiosity now. So when the form 4 goes through the NICS and FBI checks to be approved, what if you don't even own a firearm and just wanted a suppressor for the hell of it, conversational piece. Or what if you were a "prohibited persons", why couldn't you still have a suppressor, it's technically not a firearm and is technically just a fancy piece of metal. Your company able to answer this question.
The manufacturers have wild profit margins with these, as they are taking advantage of the "they're coming to take our guns" self-induced hysteria. They could still make reasonable profits selling suppressors for $250 or less.
If they weren't restricted by atf they could sell exponentially more then these companies could charge 250-300. think about it there's cost to machine these things and at best a silencer company sells a few thousand a year
So uh, a Lamborghini would do an excellent job hauling hay at the ranch, considering Lamborghini make outstanding tractors first and foremost, and make race cars on the side.
Okay...I've had a suppressor before, but I didn't know anything about anything at the time. It was a Form 1 suppressor, put on a Ruger 10/22. The barrel was machined and it was basically welded to the barrel. Yes, very very quiet...fun to shoot, etc. But now, I have several firearms that are threaded for muzzle devices...and I am not sure what to get. I have heard that if you run suppressed on an AR platform, you have to worry about adjusting your gas block, and I believe buffer spring tension is a concern as well...so there I have no clue what to do. I have seen QD muzzle devices and I like the ability to change from suppressed to without suppressed quickly and not worry about cross threading and other worries. Recommendations? What do I need to know to suppress my AR-15 5.56 16", my 9mm pistol, my AR-15 5.56 pistol (8.5" barrel)? Thank you in advance, anyone that helps.
Great information..i would like a silencer that will work on both/ go between my 5.56 and.300 blackout..and that could be capable of being cleaned.. shooting lead cast at times..could you share a couple of silencers that would fit both criteria.. thanks
I would point you towards the Ventum 762, but with modern cleaning solutions any sealed rifle silencer can be cleaned easily! ( th-cam.com/video/IGJpOl3qbi0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lx6oQW7z0iUBD_nx )
@@rossbrasher4949but if you walk in there and buy one today you might come out with it tomorrow or the next day now the wait times are crazy fast with e-filing due to the ATF getting spanked
You should also probably mention that suppressors that redirect the energy downrange are better for range and training, whereas suppressors that truly suppress in all directions are better for home defense, where your loved ones might be on the wrong of the sound wave, due to the acoustics of a gunshot in the house.
Thanks for the video you gave me some more information. I will reach out to you. I have been looking for a suppressor for about four or five months already and you help me out tremendously.. Thank you. ✌🏼
@@SilencerShop im still a newbie but going to get them both tested for concentricity, i'm excited for the mpx just above the ak barely. (it's the gen 3 copperhead k) Just got them tested today and man. gotta buy the kns adj gas piston.
I’m new to suppressor and wondering what do you recommend best for my new rifle. It’s 280 AI rifle. It’s a bolt action and only use it for hunting. Thank you for this very informative video. I have learned so much about firearm suppressor.
Check out the SilencerCo Scythe Ti, it would be excellent for that rifle. Another great choice would be the Dead Air Nomad XC, or CAT JL, all have excellent sound performance!
I want a can that I can run on a full size 9mm pistol as well as a .22 target pistol and a .22 bolt action down the line. I'm not super concerned with top performance but need it to be user serviceable. To keep cost down I'm fine with direct thread unless there is a no brain QD option or something to look into down the line. What do y'all suggest?
Thanks guys . I have an omega 36 for my Ar. But I need a can for my XD 9. I don’t train enough but I do have the time to shoot. Thanks for your advice..
Awesome informative video fellas! THANK YOU. Recently fired my buddy’s 5.56 pistol as well as his p322 (22LR) both suppressed with different suppressors. My first time doing so and now I am F’N hooked! I am new to this world and own a Ruger PC charger (9mm PCC) as well as a micro dagger. Plan on buying an AR 22 LR of some type just for pure fun and to not worry about pissing away thousands of rounds if you know what I mean. Last I checked they were like 7 cents a round or something. Obviously one for all would be best but I get the 22 thing and its own suppressor. But if cleaning it is possible would it really matter if I just used same one for all? Mostly I am here to find out which would be best for what I own which is the pc charger. If I have to use this for home defense half asleep and dont think of my ears which who the hell would think about that, I would like to minimize as much as possible. Yes I know it is not hollywood quiet everyone so please dont chime in about ear safety this and that. Karens please move on. The shorter the better for me unless it severely changes the auditory level. Do not want to defeat the whole purpose of this backpack gun(that is what I use it for and I dont need to know how everyones 300 BLK is better suited etc etc) Any help from you two would be appreciated. Again, thanks for a great video! 🇺🇸
@silencershop btw guys the PC charger is 1/2x28 and I wish I knew more about mounts and muzzle devices etc but the quick lock is more than badass and would want that. Might as well do it right unless it adds a small fortune because budget would be nice to keep in check. Thanks so much!
Thanks for the kind words, an we completely agree once you shoot suppressed you'll never want to go back! There are a few silencers that could work great for your 9mm and 22lr, I recommend checking out the JK CCX 9, it is a 9mm can with removable baffles and they make a 22 endcap for use on rimfires. You can clean it, its modular, and will sound great on both hosts. We also did a video about attachment methods that might help you out, but since 9mm and 22 rifles both use 1/2x28, I would recommend direct thread. - Chase
@@SilencerShop thanks so much Chase! Do you guys offer military/fire discounts by chance? F me now I really want it… so much more fun suppressed that is 100% FACTS. Not to mention, the sig 22lr was no louder than a damn blowdart outside. Went from why the hell does my buddy own this to holy hell I want the same setup 🤣
What is the best supressor that would go with a 5.56 and a .308 ( lowest noise) that you recommend? What is the noise level in db with either AR platform or .308 rifle.
Check out low back pressure silencers like the CAT ODB and SilencerCo Velos or HUXWRX Flow 762 Ti, they will sound awesome on both of those rifles and will keep the AR running smoothly.
Hey Guys thank you for making such an educational video about suppressors , I’m interested in getting my first one !! I’ve been checking out the Alaskan ? , don’t remember the last part of the suppressor , but it’s $ that has me leaning towards the multi caliber can !! It can take my 9mm n 5.56 n .300 BLK OUT , n my .308 n says will take up to .338 Lapua !!! I’m very excited . Had the $ saved n life got in my way !!! Started saving again !!! Thanks again, this video will help lots of ignorant people who want to know, like I WAS !!!!! 💥💥🔫🇺🇸
I first shot suppressed with my buddy, he has a few. That got me hooked! I have a mask HD 22lr can & wolfman on jail & shopping for 30 can can for 308 & 556 ar10/ar15's. Leaning towards the Cat ODB definitely gotta be hub version. But going back & forth between 718 & Titanium? It will mostly be on ar10 for hunting deer, hogs but will use at range for fun too. I don't do mag dumps so I think the titanium would be fine right?
Any recommendations for dedicated 300blk can? Plan on using rearden mount. OCL, SilencerCo, Rugged are probably my top companies I’m interested in. Thanks
Each has some awesome 30cal cans! Check out the OCL Hydrogen L, for 300BLK, the Rugged Alaskan 360 is also an awesome option for use with the Rearden mount.
I definitely know I want the rimfire dead air mask but it's on backorder... Im looking for something I can use on 9mm mostly but it would be nice to be able to run 300blackout & 556. But I've heard the multi cal options have a lot less performance. Everyone says later down road the only can their not as happy with is a multi cal. What would you recommend for 9mm?
Just watched your how to choose a suppressor...good stuff. I have been thinking about getting a suppressor for my 6.5 Ruger Precision Rifle and I'm kind of new in this area of shooting suppressed. What would your recommendation be for my 6.5 RPR that I can look at. I generally shoot at 200 - 500 yards and my dream is to shoot at 1000 yards and a mile some day.
I have taken an RPR out to 1500, super capable rifle! It seems like accuracy is high on the list of importance, so I would take a look at the SilencerCo Scythe Ti, CAT JL, and Dead Air Nomad XC. We also did a video on how suppressors affect accuracy that you might enjoy! - Chase
Shooting "Wet" should only be done on pistol rounds, it will definitely make the firearm more quiet, but that affect doesnt last long. Its sort of a fun range trick to show how quiet a can can be.
I need help cause I’m trying to purchase suppressors for our rifle. We have ddm4a1 and scar 16s, soon scar dmr, and a few .308 rifles. Any recommendations for all this?
Hey Chase & Garrett, great video. Question: I've got a Henry, Frontier model, 24" threaded barrel, 22 rl lever action rifle that I'd like to put a suppressor on (so when the family is playing with it, no one has to wear ear protection in the area). What suppressor would you recommend? We shoot this little guys for fun (and cause its ammo is super cheap). I'm wanting something that I can clean, something that is durable, and it would would only be for this firearm. What do you think?
Thanks for watching! There are a lot of great 22lr silencers, check out the Otter Creek Titanium, Dead Air Mask, and Rugged Oculus, those are crowd favorites.
using 7.62 on a 5.56, do the sound will be the same as using the 5.56 suppressor, or will it be better to get 5.56 suppressor? sorry to ask I ready have 5.56 and will get a 7.62 and would like to use the same suppressor. Thanks
Recommendation for 556 SBR 7.5" barrel? Was looking at the SilencerCo Chimera. Is there a better option in under $1k range? Don't want to shoot subsonic.
You would be better served with the SilencerCo Velos LBP ( th-cam.com/video/7i-a4hn2HBc/w-d-xo.html ) it has no barrel length restrictions and is designed for use on short 556 hosts.
As I saw the inside of a silencer for the first time, I was wondering... If I swing the gun with my hand from right to left really fast and shoot while swinging, can the bullet get stuck in the silencer and damage it?
No, that would be highly unlikely. The bullet is inside of the silencer for a fraction of a second, and the barrel recoils and moves after the projectile has left.
Hello, I own 2 CVA Cascades in 350 Legend and 450 Bushmaster. Any best buy for the money suggestions would be apricated. No clearing rooms or tacti-cool action. Just putting a clean smack down on a nice Michigan Whitetail.
Chase also comes from Michigan and is very familiar with the straight wall restriction. You could get a silencer that will work on both rifles, like the Dead Air Primal or SilencerCo Hybrid 46M, they'll sound great!
I have a Radian AR that came with a pin and welded Keymo mount. I would like to supress that rifle (training, 100-200 round of heavy use) and a 6.5 creedmore long gun. I’m thinking Sandman S but I hear nothing good about them. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance
The Sandman is a solid performer, but if you're not sold, there are a ton of silencer that can use Keymo. For a hard use AR15 and occasional 6.5 use, I would take a look at the CAT ODB (HUB model) or the HUXWRX Ventum 762.
Y’all should definitely update your caliber compatibility section, Iv looked at so many and I haven’t seen one that says 22-250 compatible. 223 and 5.56 should be compatible with 22-250 but your section says no suck thing. Now I’m on TH-cam looking my bit off for information about a suppressor for 22-250 but no luck
I believe you can just get a 30 cal silencer and it covers everything smaller like 5.56 and 22-250. I also have both rifles. The only thing you have to worry about is get one that you can mount using different thread adapters . Banish 30 is listed for both.
I have a Rossi triple black lever action .357 magnum with a threaded barrel. Which suppressor would you recommend and would I need an adapter? I prefer no adapter! I am a very experienced shooter with limited suppressor knowledge! Thanks so much.
Most 9mm PCC style silencers are excellent on 357 lever actions. Id check out the CAT MOB, Dead Air Wolfman, and Energetic Armament Sonus. Each can be direct threaded and will sound great.
I’m debating between a mcx spear 300 blk vs 5.56 pistols, I also have a few other firearms I would use a suppressor on from 9 to 7.62. What are your recommendations and thoughts on the omega 36m vs rugged Alaskan 360 Thank you in advance! Amazing video by the way
Thanks for the kind words. The Alaskan is a lot lighter and uses HUB mount which gives you a few more options for mounting than the 36M Charlie mount. Sound performance is good on both of them, two of my favorite silencers for 9mm PCCs. IF you're hunting or weight is priority id lean towards the Alaskan, if you need the modularity the 36M is the way to go.
Does direct thread provides better accuracy than quick detach or is this a myth? Can a direct thread 5/8-24 supressor goes to different threads like 1/2-28 using some adapter kit?
Direct thread has a little bit less tolerant stacking and *CAN* be more accurate, but there are plenty of incredibly accurate QD systems, especially the taper mount style devices.
Great video guys , lots of useful info. However , ii still cant decide which suppressor I should get for my new MP5. (Has tri-lug) This will be my 1st suppressor & I'd appreciate any advice/ opinion on a quality can.
There are a lot of really great options, the new CAT MOB is awesome, the Otter Creek Lithium, Dead Air Wolfman, and YHM R9 have been go-tos for PCCs for awhile now!
Hello again , I did order a suppressor today. Options were very limited because of availability. I purchased a Rex silentium 10 .358 which is probably a lil bit too big for an mp5 but it will work on about 5-6 of my other firearms
Great question! All of the brands we carry are high quality, perform well, and are very reliable. What sets silencers apart is their feature set, so basic options will be on the lower price scale, features like reduced back pressure and 3D printing will be on the higher side.
Will a suppressor really make a 300blackout quiet enough to shoot without hearing protection? I have saw people shoot those cheap crap they got online somewhere and it wouldn't cycle subsonic 9mm ammo they had to cycle it by hand like every time they shot or most of time im not sure because I didnt know them so i was back away from them mostly
Hi guys. Looking for my first suppressor for my Daniel Defense DDM4 PDW 300 Blackout. Couple things I want... 1) Quiet as possible with subsonics 2) QD 3) Light 4) Able to withstand a high round count for training days Could you guys make a recommendation or two for me please?? Thank you!!!
The Q Thunder Chicken would be an awesome option, it was designed specifically for 300BLK and is amazingly quiet, it uses Q's amazing QD system. Another great option would be the CAT JL, its available in HUB mount so you can use your favorite QD system, and it sounds incredible.
We don't have an ARC yet, but I would suspect the Q PorQ Chop and Dead Air Nomax 33 to be the best choices. Testing will reveal more once the ammo and barrels are available.
They can be very gassy, so getting a regulated gas plug and a flow through silencer greatly help. Check out the CAT ODB, SilencerCo VELOS 762 and HUXWRX FLOW 762
Can you comment on what you think is going on with the delay in getting the ready to certify email? I am using your company for the 1st time and I am over 2 weeks since the Docusign was completed and returned (with verified receipt from you folks) - All my other items were purchased as an individual, so SS is a new experience for me. I thought it was going to be a fast process, since I did get the Docusign about 2 days after I made the purchase online, but then the delay for the Ready To Certify has left me wondering about the process. I made sure to select an item that was in stock, and I chose a Gold level dealer to try to minimize any errors, etc. (I have talked with a few folks and the average time seems to have been 3-5 days from the Docusign date, with the longest being about 10 days, based on their feedback.) Is the ATF really that far behind on processing the Form 3 for you to send the item to my dealer? Thanks
Call your dealer, it is on his end. He has to stage the certification for you to certify. The delay may be due to his volume of paperwork as the reduced ATF approval times have caused a surge in purchases. I got approved in 2 days after submission, so now is the time to buy.
@@sl7809 The dealer says they cannot do anything until SS gets the Form 3 back approved from the ATF, which lets them transfer the can to the dealer. They said once that happens and they receive the can, they can compile the form 4 the trust, and other documentation. Thank for the feedback. I plan to drive over to the dealer tomorrow and get them to double check that it did not get delayed in a shuffle in their store, but I doubt it has. (They sell a lot of suppressors every month, so I assume they would have a good process in place, but who knows....)
@@SilencerShop Yes, this is what I suspected, but are you seeing 2-3 week delays from the ATF on all form 3's right now, or am I the only one holding the lucky-long-game ticket? 😁 I sent an email with the order information, asking for someone to look at the trace and see if the form 3 is at the ATF still or if it has been returned and the item shipped to the dealer, and perhaps the dealer is just running behind on compiling the form 4. Thanks

AR vs AK ?!?! .... FIRST LET ME SAY I LIKE BOTH AND TONS OR ROUNDS AND CONFLICTS WORLD WIDE OF ALL TYPES CONFIRM BOTH AS VERY SERVICABLE WEAPONS!!!!!!! FIRST LET ME SAY I LIKE BOTH with their respective strengths and weakness. The little clip you showed of both you struggling with an AK gave me pause I was introduced to the AK-47 in a class in the Army by a pair of Marine instructors who went thru their strength and weakness before I got to fire it (WHOO HOOOO bang bang fun about 1983ish ). What was pointed out was that it's general features and design was set up so that ANYONE from ANYWHERE could learn it and use it with minutes of training not hours AND it's accuracy while not QUITE as precise as the AR platform is plenty serviceable typically to about 250 yards (meters for the rest of the planet) up to 500ish yards with a little better training. BOTH WEAPON SYSTEMS set up for modern combat ranges. NOW having seen your little "comedy clips" are you willing to ADMIT that most of the world INCLUDING large segments of the third world can out-perform you with that weapon system?!?! OR are you two clowning to make fun of it which is A LOT of disrespect to a weapon system that has a HUGE amount of casualties world wide ..... I understand not liking it but on the surface both of you are either uhhh challenged or bad clowns. I will not judge you on that one element of your presentation but I did feel a need to address your uhhh presentation. IN FINISHING YOUR PRESENTATION I have come to the conclusion that you guys DO like to clown abit (as do I) but like myself I STRONGLY suggest that you do NOT give up your day jobs yet. I did give a like and subscribe as suppressors (see I already learned to use the more accurate name vs silencer) and I am not "too old" to learn ... I love the UTILITY of my current level of "hearing loss" (I wear the hearing aids in CHURCH) ..... don't want any more hearing loss ....
Thanks for sharing, Rodney. We both have used AK's a bit, and while we definitely prefer the AR, we get that the AK is effective and has a huge crowd of fans behind the system. The goal of these videos is to educate (we hope you learned something) but also to have some fun (which you picked up on). Thanks for watching and for the feedback!

Not sure where to contact you since I am not active on Twitter or Facebook much but I have a Savage Axis II 16.13” heavy barrel and a AR-15 Pistol 8.5” both in .300 Blackout. How much do I shoot? Currently not much but I bought property that backs up to BLM in Colorado and will be moving soon. Looking for a suppressor that would work for both. The pistol will be used for a lot of rapid fire and the Axis not so much. LOL This will be my first suppressor purchase but have a NFA Trust. What would you recommend and how to contact you if I have more questions.
Nearly all 30 caliber silencers will work on both of those hosts, I'd check out the Q Thunder Chicken or CGS Hyperion, they're excellent on 300BLK! You can always reach out to our team via phone or email on our site as well.
I have a .556 Diamondback db15 AR pistol with a 7" barrel and no adjustable gas block. I dont shoot alot and its for home defense. What would be your recommendation?
Rugged Razor 556 has no barrel restrictions. I would honestly look at getting an AR with a longer barrel in 5.56, or possibly get a 300 blackout. a 7" AR is going to still be very loud and the ballistics are subpar. 11.5" or 12.5" would be a better choice. but if you're set on using what you already own, the Rugged Razor 556 is full auto rated and, again, has 0 restrictions on barrel length.
Personal recommendation for people new to silencers, id _personally_ recommend a 36 caliber rifle rated can so you can use it on your 9mm pistol with a booster and use it like a flow-thru can on your 5.56/300BLK rifle _and_ a 22 can. My first "can" is a Maxim9, my second is a Ruger SilentSR, then a Wolfman and lastly so far an Aero Lahar 30. I definetly bought mine out of order. -I would not recommend a Silent-SR unless you have a need for the splined end cap such as tucking the suppressor under a handguard. -The Wolfman is good but only works with Dead Air pistol accessories so it can take a booster, Keymicro or Xeno mount. I personally love the Xeno mount, but you can't use other mount options. -Personally I think the Xeno is about as perfect as it gets but its your can so its up to you.
I recently purchased the YHM R9. Unfortunately, they were out of stock on SilencerShop and I'm waiting on the Form 3 approval for the transfer to my FFL. But I chose that one to use on one of 2 hosts: S&W FPC (Home Defense) or SP9A1 Gen 2 Stribog w/A3 Tactical Stock. I converted it from a pistol to a full length 16" carbine for IDPA 2 gun competition shooting
In the future I am looking at buying a FN 510 Tactical. Doing some research I have not found a company that makes a silencer/suppressor for a 10mm semiautomatic pistol?! Everything that I have seen is either for a 9mm or a .45 acp. Why does there seem to be this gap in the industry???
@@SilencerShop, I am finally able and ready to, pardon the pun, pull the trigger on buying the FN 510 Tactical. This is my first ever gun purchase that will be able to shot suppressed. I know that you said that 45acp suppressors will work for 10mm’s. But, I do not have a clue about which one is better than the next?! Do you have any advice and/or recommendations?! Also, I have heard that SilncerCo will file all of the paperwork for me from start to finish and then send me my suppressor after the ATF has cleared my account, filed my tax stamp, and my suppressor is ready to come to its forever home. I need some help picking out the best possible option for my new FN 510 Tactical when I go to buy it here in the next few days.
It depends on how you're using it, budget, firing schedule and more. Generally, I would point you towards a high flow option like the HUXWRX, SilencerCo Velos, or CAT silencers.
I have a SilencerCo Sparrow. After only 300ish rounds, the only way I can take it apart to clean is to use a plastic screwdriver handle to hammer out the core. What can I do to make it easier to take apart?
ok, haven't taken the leap into silencers yet, but thinking it would be a great Christmas gift for myself. I have a 300 win mag, bolt action... and a 300 blkout. Probably wouldn't mag dump either. I also have an AK47 (threaded) and a 10mm pistol (not threaded, yet). So, without breaking the bank, what would be the best for an occasional win mag shot and a few hundred rounds of blkout a month? I do intend to leave the silencer on the 10.5" blkout for home defense. just for plinking, maybe cleaning out varmints, I have a 10/22. Likely that would be a 2nd purchase, down the road. Again, not a high volume.
I have a Bren 2 556 carbine, an AR57 16" barrel, an sbr'd ps90, a Ruger LC Charger, 2 PSA Rocks and one Ruger 57, i was thinking of going with the Optimus Micro Suppressor with Griffin Taper Mount Minimalist brake for the 5.7 guns and the taper mount flash suppressor for the Bren. Is this the best one and done option? Or would i be better off on going with 2 and having the Bren with it's own and one for the 5.7's?
The CAT ODB and HUXWRX FLOW 762 TI ahve good performance on both of those cartridges, and have low backpressure for operation on AR platform rifles. If 300BLK is the focus with a bit less 556, silencers lie the Q Trash panda, Dead Air Nomad, and CGS Hyperion would sound awesome and work great on both calibers as well.
We're thinking about doing a video on shooting a silencer wet. For now, just know that shooting wet is really only for pistol silencers, and increases performance temporarily.
@@SilencerShoponly have a rc2 mini but would like a can for my 11.5. What is your opinion between these options? 1. Rc3 have the ability to swap between the mini on both rifles. 2.
Good stuff. Thank you!
The best supressor is the one you bought 6 - 12 months ago.
The one currently on the firearm I'm plinking with is my favorite, for sure.
This aged well
@jordanlester4354 if you're talking about the wait times, they're still screwing with a bunch of us. 6 months form 1 and 4 months form 4.
@@rossbrasher4949but if you walk in there and buy one today you might come out with it tomorrow or the next day now the wait times are crazy fast with e-filing due to the ATF getting spanked
Wait times are crazy fast right now if you buy one today you'll get it within the next 3 days with e-filing
Thank you. ✌🏼
I’ve also bought 3 HUXWKS CANS, Two in .556 and 1 in .762. Flow Thru is Outstanding for Bullpups, and 10.3, .556’s.

I have a couple of pcc's an extar ep45 and a freedom ordinance fx9 with a 4" barrel. which type would be best for each?
I would check out the JK Armament 105 CCX 9, it can shoot 9mm and .22lr and is easily serviceable. The same goes for the CGS MOD9 and MOD9sk.
Gonna need a booster for the 9mm pistol.
Great information.
Thank you!
Yes, just send your credentials to soundoff@silencershop (dot com) and then give our sales team a call and they'll help you out!

Been looking at the yhmr9 would most live on my 9mm ar and ak. Maybe once in awhile thrown on a 5.56 10.5 /16inch. Leaning towards the rugged Alaskan

The Alaskan360 is an awesome silencer and it sounds great on all of those calibers you listed! Can't wait for you to start your silencer journey!
For hunting and plinking I would lean towards the titanium, the weight savings is really nice!
What about the Ruger SFAR? It has an adjustable gas block.
Yup, so you could use a more traditional silencer like the Nomad, but even with an adjustable gas block low back pressure still pays dividends
Mouting options spin my head
We're doing a dedicated mounting option video soon!

Outside of Sig's line, does anyone know which suppressors are compatible with SIG SLX/SLH suppressor-ready flash hider?
Maybe the CGS Hyperion?
Any recommendations on a can for my ruger/marlin 1894 44mag to get the best slimd suppression. Thank you

- Chase
I need help finding a supressor for a 10.5" 350 legend ar pistol that can handle full power loads. Everything I find says 16" minimum barrel length.
What are your thoughts on shooting wet. Does it really make that much of a difference as far as noise suppression when shooting wet?
Shooting "Wet" should only be done on pistol rounds, it will definitely make the firearm more quiet, but that affect doesnt last long. Its sort of a fun range trick to show how quiet a can can be.
I need help cause I’m trying to purchase suppressors for our rifle. We have ddm4a1 and scar 16s, soon scar dmr, and a few .308 rifles. Any recommendations for all this?
Also I’m just training, prepping, and leaping so being prepared is more so what I’m trying to do with my family.

Hey Chase & Garrett, great video.
Question:
I've got a Henry, Frontier model, 24" threaded barrel, 22 rl lever action rifle that I'd like to put a suppressor on (so when the family is playing with it, no one has to wear ear protection in the area).
Thanks
An recommendation for a HK usp 45 tac that would also work on a ap5k 9mm? Thanks also would that work on a ar 5.56
SilencerCo Hybrid 46M or Dead Air Primal would be great!
@SilencerShop thanks for the response and I will look into those!
So would a flow-thru can like OSS be a bad choice for subsonic .300bk?
300BLK subs don't benefit as much from high flow as supersonic rounds do, but you can still get good performance from one.
Would a 300 blackout round work in a 9mm suppressor? Or do I need to buy a brand new 300 blackout suppressor.
A 30 cal thru a 9mm suppressor ?
Blackout is larger than 9mm. So you would need one that could handle 300.
@@SilencerShop appreciated! Sold me on the Velos. Subscribed on your site for In Stock notification.

Is there a suppressor that will work on a SFAR 6.5 and a Black Rain Ord 9MM?
SilencerCo Omega 36M or Rugged Alaskan 360 would be great.
What are your recommendations and thoughts on the omega 36m vs rugged Alaskan 360
Thank you in advance!
(Has tri-lug)
This will be my 1st suppressor & I'd appreciate any advice/ opinion on a quality can.

Anyone have a recommendation for the Canik Mete SFT???
Great video! But which brands are good, better, best? In the suppressor world, who is the Hi Point, who is the Sig, and who is the Staccato or Atlas?
Great question! All of the brands we carry are high quality, perform well, and are very reliable. What sets silencers apart is their feature set, so basic options will be on the lower price scale, features like reduced back pressure and 3D printing will be on the higher side.
Flow through cans are the best. The gas in the face is just awful. I have a OSS now called Huxwrx

Yes, a good silencer will absolutely make subsonic 300BLK hearing safe all day long.

The Q Thunder Chicken would be an awesome option, it was designed specifically for 300BLK and is amazingly quiet, it uses Q's amazing QD system. Another great option would be the CAT JL, its available in HUB mount so you can use your favorite QD system, and it sounds incredible.

(I have talked with a few folks and the average time seems to have been 3-5 days from the Docusign date, with the longest being about 10 days, based on their feedback.)
Is the ATF really that far behind on processing the Form 3 for you to send the item to my dealer?
Likely waiting for the Form 3 (Dealer Transfer) to be approved so we can ship the silencer to your dealer.
@@SilencerShop Yes, this is what I suspected, but are you seeing 2-3 week delays from the ATF on all form 3's right now, or am I the only one holding the lucky-long-game ticket? 😁
I sent an email with the order information, asking for someone to look at the trace and see if the form 3 is at the ATF still or if it has been returned and the item shipped to the dealer, and perhaps the dealer is just running behind on compiling the form 4.

Suppressors are considered unlawful in California.
Take a look at our top 5 556 silencer blog, that would be a great place to start!
That is an awesome collection!
The 36cal silencers are great and give you a ton of versatility.

Ar10 308 . I was thinking Velos 762 or PTR Vent 1
Velos 762, Flow 762 Ti, or CAT ODB would all e amazing options!
Best suppressor for Dimondback 10.5" barrel?
It depends on how you're using it, budget, firing schedule and more. Generally, I would point you towards a high flow option like the HUXWRX, SilencerCo Velos, or CAT silencers.
@@SilencerShop Appreciate the insight. Your thoughts on AB A-10? Home defense
The AB cans are awesome, they sound good and they're durable, but have some back pressure. Check out out AR tuning video and you'll be good to go!
@@SilencerShop Banish speed K?
Best can for 10.3 for flash suppression
The Surefire RC2 was built for 10.3" barrels and has awesome flash suppression.
And not so awesome price
It's a lifetime purchase. Don't be poor
I have a SilencerCo Sparrow. After only 300ish rounds, the only way I can take it apart to clean is to use a plastic screwdriver handle to hammer out the core. What can I do to make it easier to take apart?
You could soak it in a solvent, like CLP, prior to taking it apart to loosen up some of the carbon.
ok, haven't taken the leap into silencers yet, but thinking it would be a great Christmas gift for myself.
Yall have a pokeball for a logo, LOL
Very similar!
I would recommend a 5.56 silencer for the rifles, and a rimfire (like the Optimus Micro) for the handguns! That will get you the best results!
Surprisingly, Lamborghini makes tractors
Its true, so does Porsche!
How about a decision tree?
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching.
What if you want one for a 10mm
Most of the 45ACP silencers are designed to work with 10mm pistols!
Which silencer would you recommend for a ( 300 blackout- 5.56 ) rifles for training???
The CAT ODB and HUXWRX FLOW 762 TI ahve good performance on both of those cartridges, and have low backpressure for operation on AR platform rifles.
If 300BLK is the focus with a bit less 556, silencers lie the Q Trash panda, Dead Air Nomad, and CGS Hyperion would sound awesome and work great on both calibers as well.
You guys make the process fairly easy but are nearly impossible to reach on the phone.
The sales and customer service teams are working hard to get to anyone calling or emailing!
Silencer Shop and Silencer Co are all out of silencers now, most likely because of the news that the F4 is being processed fast these days.
We're working on getting more in stock very soon! Back orders are also being filled quickly!

Did I miss the talk about wet or dry suppressors?
We're thinking about doing a video on shooting a silencer wet. For now, just know that shooting wet is really only for pistol silencers, and increases performance temporarily.
I thought thos was gona be like a supressor review type vid
Its about how to choose which would be best!
Our shop is drowning in suppressor sales. 3 days on Form4!!!
Thats great to hear!
@@SilencerShoponly have a rc2 mini but would like a can for my 11.5. What is your opinion between these options? 1. Rc3 have the ability to swap between the mini on both rifles.
2. Otter creek polonium, cheaper but very high stats can
3. Cgs six - looks like a very interesting can with lots of r&d behind it (not sure on the MD though)
4. Sandman s not a 556 but a tried and true can
Alright show of hands how many of you said wtf was that at the 5:06 mark and went back
HAHA! That is a LifeCard, with Q Erector and a makeshift optics mount.
Can you use brake cleaner for cleaning cans ?
Check with the manufacturer, Brake Clean can damage finishes.
Single shot rifles that are bolt or break action
Do you need a trust? I heard that the ATF turnaround is actually faster without using a trust.
You do not need one, but it is highly recommended. Right now the times are pretty comparable, within a few days of each other on average.
Thanks for speaking so generally that you will have generated MORE questions for us that sell these products. #fuckinghell.
Just trying to give people general direction and things to think about, we're doing many more educational video's soon!
