When I see a cutaway image of supressors that cost from $800 on up, I'm amazed at the gall, and the balls the industry has to ask such prices. Kooky man!
Everyone I talk to I recommend your shop. I would drive 2 hours to get the service I get here. Super sweet team that don't make you feel like a criminal walking in and always wanting to educate you and other customers. Super relaxed and the new building has a super cool look to it.
This is awesome! Eric helped me put together my first AR build (that I lost in a boating accident along with all the others RIP) years ago. Super helpful and a wealth of knowledge!
Always enjoy shopping at Black Flag Armory. Great bunch of folks that work there. Always very helpful. I send anybody I know that asks where to go. I send them to the best shop in town.
Just moved to Medford and heard of your guys shop through a friend. Excited to get more educational videos like this and start getting my pew stuff through your shop.
Best shop around. If you have any firearm needs, this is the place to go. High quality gear, products and staff! The only place I go to purchase my gear. Thanks fellas!
Great overview. Silencer is a misnomer, unless you can get subsonic rounds. Gotta love a subsonic .22, the sound of the bolt is deafening! Thanks for the great, non-bias, info!
Great video guys. It would be a crying shame, hypothetically, if someone were to recently get their can from you guys, and on the first round get a baffle strike, launching the suppressor down range. Hypothetically. 😭
Glad it was helpful! Check out our video on Form 1's and if you're interested, keep an eye out for a new video posting Monday about Gun Trusts. Thanks for watching!
Newer owner of NFA items. My experience I am glade I went with multi cal can 1st it allowed me to try many different cal while I waited for my other stamps to be approved
What people tend to not understand or convey in these videos, is that the sonic crack made by the projectile follows the projectile closely. Which, is why it's directed away from the shooter. At 2500 fps, it only takes a millisecond to get away from the point of origin.
Thanks, I probably would have bought one already if not for the wait time, there's always another gun to buy, accessories, ammo, etc, so those kinda get in the way of me buying something and waiting 8 months for it. But I do really want one and I'll take the plunge eventually 🤷
If you are submitting as an individual, now might be the time. Check out what the wait times are currently (March 2024) We're seeing tons of sub 1 month approvals and have gotten forms back in 6 days, 4 days, and 2 days in Feb.
Currently (2024) the ONE suppressor basic you should know is that SIG/SAUER makes the BEST suppressor for pulling gas flow AWAY from the shooter. The new suppressors for the M5 battle rifle and M250 light machine gun have baffles that are printed because the design is too difficult to machine.
I need a short suppressor for the new PPK chambered in 32 acp.. I have never had a suppressor so I have no idea where to start.. Any advice and suggestions?
How do you know if the QD suppressors like the SOCOMs will fit on a certain muzzle device? Do you have to buy a specific comp, or will it fit on any comp/flash hider?
Most companies will have specific muzzle devices for their QD suppressors. So if you're looking at the Surefire Socom suppressors you'll be using Surefire's muzzle devices that are " Suppressor adaptors" in order to use their QD suppressors.
so my question is... I have a Lunar 9 Gemtech with the Neilson device/piston. Can I shoot it on a Ruger PC Carger fixed barrel? Or will it damage the suppressor?
Always learning. Too old to complicate my life. Too old to put up with the racket. There are many things I'll just never do. And ATF&E has made them too expensive by artificially complicating the matter.
Man, I’ve been trying to get ahold of a suppressor lately so much money though. Thanks for doing this video, very informative. I hope i win the raffle. Full send mode
Hello. My dad has 5/8 - 24 adapter and he don't know what size of female thread of suppressor matches his adaptor. What size of suppressor can u recommend sir? Thanks

We need more informative videos like this so people can stop being afraid of suppressors. Keep it up!
That's our goal! We appreciate the support, Andy. Thank you!
I agree
20% goes to the big guy
Unfortunately you have to pay to play in this situation

I love that you guys make these videos. Knowledge is power. So glad to see your business continue to grow
1st silencer, Rimfire.
Easy choice. Ammo is cheap and plentiful. Don't have to worry about any hearing protection. Now I'm hooked!! 30 can ordered.
Love it!! Suppressed life is the best life!
This video is color graded to perfection 🔥

Your saying you had ALL your firearms on a boat that sank?
@@ALT_RIGHT Exactly. We ALL had all our firearms on a boat that sank, and we can't recall where we were sailing when we had boating accident.
i simply do not know where they are, do you know where they are?@@ALT_RIGHT
Disband ATF and repeal NFA...
That's never gonna, too many collectors would have their collections devalued
I second this

Thanks for the support Terry!
I come here often, great place to pick up kit and stuff for builds, reasonable prices and knowledgeable staff
Agreed
This is one of the better videos on suppressors. I don't want a history on them just basic knowledge and you hit the note.

We call them silencers because that's what they were called on the original patent. You invent a device, you get to name it!
@@taperry326 That is true it is just not accurate so the name isn't used.
Great video guys.
It would be a crying shame, hypothetically, if someone were to recently get their can from you guys, and on the first round get a baffle strike, launching the suppressor down range. Hypothetically.
😭
I mean hypothetically of course! Thankfully, most companies have warranties that will cover damage from certain hypothetical problems like that
Glad y’all are doing a video on suppressors.
Thanks for the support!
I had no idea you guys had a youtube. I recommend everyone to you when I can’t help them find what they need where I work

Very helpful. Can you use a 9 mm pistol can on a 9mm 16" carbine? Any special considerations in doing that?
Absolutely you can!
My .22 suppressor for my Sig Sauer Mosquito is pretty "movie" quite.
Anyone tell me the difference between a suppressor and silencer?

Not a problem 👌

Do suppressors usually come with everything to run on a 300 and 5.56 or do you have to buy separate parts to make them work on both?
Usually, you need a second muzzle device for quick detach suppressors, or a thread adapter for direct thread suppressors.
Awesome video and very informational. Thank you
Can't wait to see who wins
Really appreciate your effort

Good stuff!
Hello. My dad has 5/8 - 24 adapter and he don't know what size of female thread of suppressor matches his adaptor. What size of suppressor can u recommend sir? Thanks
Most 30cal cans are 5/8x24mm, but it really depends on what caliber firearm he's looking to put it on. What does he have?
Good video. I was wondering if you had a suppressor for a 300 ultra win mag? You said you could use one up to 300 win mag. The you.
There are actually quite a few cans that can handle that kind of pressure. I'd check out the Dead Air Nomad and Nomad Titanium as a starting point.
Thanks for the info I learned some things
Well layed out brother...
Excellent overview!
When cleaning and putting back together do you advise putting grease or oil on the baffles? If so, what do you recommend?
Some put a teaspoon of water ,also that lube electricians use to pull wires will also work!
Both will lessen the first round pop 👍🏻👍🎯☃️
If you have nothing else, piss in it.
