_cool conversion 😎 .. I remember back in the day (90’s) ppl say’n that the VN/VP/VR platforms weren’t going to be the ones chosen for modding because they were “heavier,” than earlier VB/VL 😂 .. guess they didn’t count on the engine & power levels of today💪🏼_

I've always loved the VP look over the VNSS, fight me!
One suggestion for the owner. I used to own a burgundy one also. Colour code the grill surround to burgundy instead of the 2 tone holden matches them to. It does give more presence.

That's clean as a whistle, well done on the hard work man! I had a 2 tone 5.0 VN Calais back in the day, had all the bolt ons, I miss that thing it was a great car.
I'm glad when I pop the bonnet on my 89 VN it still has the original 5.0 in it. Daily driver with over 400,000 on the clock 💪🏼

It's not an Aussie V8 it's got the Mexican muscle in it but still a beautiful example is and understatement.

This is the only car I have seen that hsv inflection wheels look right on. I've always been a sucker for a nice vp calais.
Great review and very very clean build. Nothing like a Calais with a V8.
VN-VP my favorite years of the round shape commodores, something about the rear wheel arch that covers the rear wheel does it for me, all these higher spec models like the senators/calais/statesmans,SS's etc are all worth their weight in gold now days.
The coumva bus, best fucking calais going around. seen that thing start from the ground up and its an absolute masterpiece!!

Great looking rig and good review. In future reviews, can you ask about more specific details of the vehicles, wheels, tyres, suspension, diff gears, etc. I see those seats are not the calais, but maybe vs senator.

i used to own a VP SENATOR ORIGINAL 5 LITRE tried to sell it in 2020 for 21k and got laughed at by all the aussie enthusiasts mocking the amount i was asking. now the gronks wanna pay 30 to 40k for them..

Didn’t even know they made 5he "international " series Calais back then… the first international series I saw was the VT series2 Calais m and the VS series 2 Statesman.

Now that's a magnificent VP one of the best in the country,I love a good VN but this is mint hats off to the owner he has done a superb job here 🏆another killer review Johnny 100k subs by Christmas let's ogg Lad lol.

I feel like pre VK commodores, VN, VP, VX aren’t as desired and it’s why there’s fuck all. Besides the VX they were pretty shit cars compared to the falcons at the time.
