Welcome to another Episode of Ross Reviews AU on this weeks Video we go for a drive in this 2000 model VU Maloo.. engine swapped with a 5.3L V8 then modified with 2 Turbos... this RWD ute is now making over 1000KW (1300HP) on high boost!!! Terrifying to say the least..

What a unique engine sound. Probably a few factors such as engine size, turbos, exhaust etc. 5.3's are popular in the States, but not having got them here, they're harder to come by.

The torque is insane ...i could see it . The exhaust note ..absolutely supreme the way all 8s should sound like . How much for an exact build but in sedan as i would not fit in ute at 6 - 4 tall .. 👍 to the owner absolutely the best

Yeah the blower is all torque the turbo is all horsepower!!!pound for pound turbo for win,i loved supercharged v8s growing up,but nowadays u cant beat the technology from turbo. Imagine in a sedan with more grip and a 6 speed magnum

the vu was a stand alone model based off the vx/monaro front end, could be wrong but i think its the only model that only came out in a ute varient

I own a vu V6 manual and she is my every day driver LSD it's so fun to drive I could not emagion what this thing would be like to drive 😢and the back window and the sunroof spoilers ❤love it bother 💯 mm ad ride 🤘

Does anyone no why the speedo doesn’t work but the revs work ? I’ve got the same issue in my supercharged fg xr8 Ute. @ 7:00
Not sure 😅
If it’s a cable speedo the cable is probably broken. Otherwise you’d have to check the wiring harness to it if it’s digital. I’ve had it happen on one car and that was a mechanical cable spinning the speedo that had snapped clean. I think it was on my VL Calais Turbo.
