That's probably one of the thing about scripting wrestlers that don't bring out the same effect. Giving them more freedom and room to commit brings out solid acting from the stars. I think Vince in all his insanity turned out to be one of the best TV show actors ever.

The Mick promos in ECW were fantastic, cane Dewey maybe the best promo in the history of wrestling.
Masked Fan His stuff was great in ECW. That promo about the original hardcore wrestlers was fantastic and I still go back and watch it from time to time

Nah, the one about the Magical Land of WCW is his best promo.
The original incarnation of Mankind(1996-1997) was my favorite by far. Just like only Taker could do Undertaker, Only Foley could pull off Mankind successfully. Wish the original incarnation had a longer run before he became less terrifying and more of a comical character but it is what it is.
I also like the brown wearing craze mankind better..
The back of the new generation era is definitely my favorite wwf era. It was alot more dimensional then the attitude era. Everything before it was dialed back, and the attitude era was dialed way up. New generation era was honest. Gimmicks like mankind, could be still takin seriously without being extreme
It was Foley's idea to change Mankind into a more comedic character.

there have been plenty of great promo guys like the rock,ric flair,dusty rhodes,etc. but mick foley's promo were completely different with tons of depth foley's promo as mankind were the type of promos that would get actors Oscar nominations

lol. I was hooked on mankind from the basement interview. *Fing A. Anther horror guy..... then the no good SOB attached AND LAID OUT THE FREAKING UNDERTAKER. Took years for me to like him after that. Didn't help the announcers would always bring up the fact that no one has a better win/loss record against undertaker.
