I just got curious over something. You know how different Clone Divisions have numbers like the 501st and the 212th? I started to wonder about two things: What all the known numbered divisions and other Clone groups were in Legends and what the 1st was, since now we're being told of things like a 5th division. Of course, I'd also like to know their roles and what they did.
What’s crazy is that they had hyperspace routes anywhere for long considering that the entire galaxy is revolving around the black in the center. The core and outskirts remaining the same place all the way around the rotation period is extremely unlikely since the rotation speeds of every solar system would be independent from one another and would have their own times and speeds that they would revolve around the galaxy. I feel like that’s a major plot everyone over looks.
In the grand schemes of thing though, it doesnt really matter, its incredibly easy to just send one probe every couple centuries to remap the tiny movements that have occured, the only times it is relavent is in the core, because they will spin much faster because its much closer to the galactic center, and the unknown regions because of all the gravity anomalies
True, hyperspace travel is much more complex and convoluted than the movies and shows would lead us to believe. For us it seems just beep bop, wait a minute, and you’re at a system of your choice. For them it’s calculations, route navigation, exiting to adjust trajectory, mass shadow tracking to make sure you don’t slam into a sun faster than you can say “I have a bad feeling about this,” avoiding looking out of the windows to avoid madness, and avoiding the territories of cosmic horrors that can just phase into your ship and kill you even in hyperspace.
