i wanted to post the same comment so bad but i was on my tv and couldn't 😔
I usually turn off the health penalty because I rarely die, but when I do I cannot really fight anything so it is a huge momentum stopper if I make a mistake
The funny thing is even with so many Meat Effigies and Second Chance Watches on a long term world I played on, everyone somehow used up so many revives that we ran out of Meat Effigies pretty quick (I BLAME MAXWELL EVEN THOUGH HE GAVE ME THE BEARD HAIR!), but Wanda is of course the only character who doesnt lose maximum health when reviving from any means so keep that in mind!
Well, she still gets old. There's a difference, yes, but she still experiences negative effects.
I find it odd that the meat effigies look like Wilson, they never tried making it look like anything else or like any other character.
Meat effigies are my go to for reviving, IMO the easiest way to get a ton is to visit a bunny village while you're low on sanity, then kill all the beardlords for tons of beard hair, make sure to knock down the houses too so you can rebuild your own on the surface. Just remember that they don't work like the other methods, you specifically have to link yourself to them while you're alive otherwise they don't work, so remember to link up to another one after you respawn

Ok, now we need a 'not dying' guide.
by that i mean the best armors and healing items (because a certain- Wormwood - cannot heal with food) for each character.
as a wurt player, marble suits (because merms make marble tree farms easy to harvest) with merm king (for the +100 max health) and roasted potatoes for the +20 hp (I choose potatoes because they are Very Very easy to grow, and used in many crop combinations for most of the seasons)
alternatively if you have dragon fruit around, good old dragon pies are always an option.
I'll make it simple; Get good.

Since Klei updated the original Don't Starve I think it would be a good idea to make a few videos/guides about that game too since they have some differences especially in characters. Or maybe just one bigger video to highlight these differences.

I think meat effigies are good as a failsafe just in case every other method fails, they don't take part of your max health like regular don't starve so there's literally no reason to not use them
If you can make 'em, go for it! Beard hair is pretty easy to farm with a Maxwell nowadays as well!

good question, which is the best way to craft them? (we do not include the portal and the stone because they are average in total and of course they cannot be crafted), actually I would think between Wanda's watch, a red crystal amulet and an effigy
Wanda's Watch is broken OP, especially when you have more than one of them.
@@TheBeard777 Only in total a little probelm may be with living logs because so many of them will not be embraced, unless there is such a thing as a farm of living logs ? + I do not remember if the "bones" get all when you use the watch on yourself, which can also be a problem because it is often not embraced (we're talking about a situation that will rather happen, that Wanda uses it on herself and it wears out, because in general, right when using it on an ally is op because it is infinite
Hey, what's the Combined Status mod you're using? The only reason I ask is because the one I use doesn't have the Naughtiness Count
Just the one everyone uses, the highest one. You just need to Configure it to show that meter.
@@TheBeard777 I just went to configuration, and it says it was already showing Naughtiness. I read the description for that config setting, and it said "Doesn't work in Don't Starve Together"
The touch stones in my world can be used indefinetly. How do I fix that?
You're playing solo DS then. That, or you got a really helpful bug happening right now.
Hey, what's the grid-mod you're using? I have the most upvoted one and it does look quite different than yours.
Ah! My guess is you haven't configured it IN-GAME yet! There is a Key that you can press to bring a menu up while playing instead of doing it in the menus and that's where you can mess with stuff! Check the configuration or description to know what that Key is by default.

I think touch stones can regenerate on endless mode. I'm not sure exactly how this works but I remember using the same touch stone multiple times on endless mode. I don't think the wiki says anything about this tho.
This is not the case as we're literally doing the Touch Stone bit while in Endless during this video. 😅
They regenerate, yes, but that's just for the sake of all the other players in the game! Even still everyone can only use them once!
