I saw a Games Radar article in my newsfeed about how someone collected every rock and I was like "That's insane! Who would do that?". Now it's all adding up
For the people wondering why the spherical boulders are considered to be natural. If a rock is in a stream or river, the rock gets gradually ground down to a point where it is round. At that point it can roll with the current and erode from another side, causing the rock to get rounder and repeat the process.
@@scottishcheese13Yes, but those basalt platforms can occur naturally, provided there’s a place where lava and water meet- he recreated the conditions that lead to the rocks, but didn’t refine or carve them further in any way. I feel like it counts, or close enough, anyway
Bro, speed runners have no fun. You’ve 100%ed the game, you collected all the rocks. What’s left for you to do now, touch every single solid surface area including ones inside out of bounce area in the game?
It would require someone to create a mod that changes rocks despawn properties or how active objects work, and a beefy pc I think. He probably has the pc though.
This is perhaps the most in-character challenge for link yet. I can't imagine a timeline in which link would ACTUALLY get rid of the sheikah slate, for example, but I COULD see TotK!Link, in the middle of his quest, go "Hang on. I should make a vehicle out of every rock I can find."
In some universes Link is a physics breaking speedster who wakes up and stops 2 ancient tragedies in a couple hours each, in others he's a perfectionist who spends years on end not helping anybody and quite literally wasting his own time purely to say he did it.
I know it’s not the main focus of your comment but I don’t think Link got rid of the sheikah slate, he probably just. Gave it back to Zelda. Because it was hers, and Zelda probably gave it to Purah who used it to figure out how to make the Purah Pad (and even then there’s a couple reasons why it just isn’t as cool, such as Purah can’t figure out how to replicate those features yet, Zelda didn’t want those features on her Purah pad, they’re not on there because it’s a prototype, or the most agreed upon reasoning as to why nearly all of the sheikah tech was stripped from Hyrule, Sheikah tech is seen as Evil And Bad Again and at least magnesis is used by the Yiga so it does extend to the slate’s abilities)
It's videos like this that help remind my that Tears of the Kingdom is one of the most insane games Nintendo has released, maybe ever. Like, there's an entire map, with 3 different tiers of world to explore, endless quests to complete, and a story mode, which already makes it one of Nintendo's biggest games ever. And then, there's just straight up G-Mod attached to all of it, so you can basically do anything you want on top of all of that.

So *this* is the goofy ahh sidequest that Smallant has been on for the past month or so
I’ve been as manically pissy as this fartchiken guy before. It’s a rare emotion that you have to learn to put a damper on. Happens to the best of us.
Really cool idea, if something similar ever happens again I would recommend holding something in midair with Ultrahand, climbing whatever you need to climb, then using Recall to lift the thing back into midair where you can once again grab with Ultrahand. FYI you don’t need to manually end Recall when grabbing something mid Recall, it happens automatically.
what a lovely rock couple😌
they both love eating stones! and the boyfriend even collects every type of rock for his girlfriend, aww🥺❤
i wish everyone to have such a great relationship!

It's not just a boulder, it's a rock! A rock! It's a big, beautiful old rock! Oh, the Zonai used to ride these babies for miles, and it's in great shape!
Only Smant could take a comment like that so seriosuly that he dedicates an entire stream to rock hunting. I respect Smallant for doing this.

If you could keep all the rocks at like a house or common area, and then leave knowing they'd still be there no matter what, that's the dream.
I just beat TOTK yesterday after a long pause and can finally watch all the videos on it. The fact you uploaded one on the same day is a blessing.
I love this video so much. Dude on twitter got angry about some made up shit and accidentally gave you a great idea. If he ever watched a video he'd realise you're ALWAYS having fun in these save some exceptions of SmallAnt's Luck GiftCurse
this feels like the response to "oh you're a fan of rocks? NAME EVERY ROCK!" and the responce is "I'll do you one better, I'll SHOW YOU EVERY SINGLE ROCK!"
Congratulations this is going to be a sub category it has to be i can't wait for the video going over the history of Tears of the kingdom Rock%
i feel like this should become a category. Rocklopedia%
Bro really pulled the best "alright, bet." in history
*drops 20 tons of rocks into a lake*
"hopefully this floats"
14:15 I have 250 hours in this game and I never once thought to fuse a hover stone to an arrow like that
this video is a really cool showcase on how creative you can get in this game
Now I apologize if he's already done this, but here's an idea now: Get 999 of every item, no dupe glitches. Good luck if you do this!!
i actually respect how many rocks the devs put into this game
Speedrunners: Have fun challenging themselves to do something as fast as they possibly can
This dude: gosh how dare these people enjoy the product they bought differently from me, smhing my head
At 4:51 that was that one moment from the Lego Batman 2 game XD where joker tears apart Batman’s batmobile and then it’s just Batman on a chair 😂 that’s great.
This actually sounds really fun 👀
Now that I've 100% completed the game, I ought to make some arbitrary categories based off of that spreadsheet and make collections of them...
A log house made from every log in the game could be fun lol
Or maybe collecting every item that's unique to a specific region?
Imagine being a stone talos and seeing a dude driving up in a cart made of your dead species, then he murders you, attaches your heart to his cart, and gleefully drives off into the distance
Vaas from Far Cry 3: "Have I ever told you the definition of insanity?"
Me: yeah, it's this guy here
