I'm willing to bet that Acid Rain impacts something else in the Caves that I didn't find or look for so let us know! Plus, hopefully you noted that Acid Rain doesn't increase wetness! That is indeed what they are attempting to do, yes. And Part 3 will clash it all together for a HUGE shakeup I imagine!
Seeing how one of the most unique things about Don't Starve was always how the world completely changes based on time, I feel like the world changing a lot does make sense, especially since it would make sense since it is more realistic since "people from another realm enter ours and mess with things and THEM"

With Charlie appearing at the end of lunar rifts trailer with Wagstaff, I wonder if we should expect Wagstaff to appear at the end of the trailer of this update? Sorta back and forth between two sides.
Or all together as Part 3 to me was always pointing to a MASSIVE clash of both sides!

I've been playing this darn game since before Together was thing. I Absolutly love all the new crazy stuff Klie keeps adding to this crazy game. This game was a catalyst for me and my best friend to bond over. I cannot express my feelings for this game, but I really appreciate the people who put it together and are still adding things. Thanks Klie truly. Thanks Beard for the amazing videos on all the update vides. I would not know half the things I do now without them.

The dark tatters are back!! I do believe the new creatures might be linked to the Ancient Herald!
I really like what Klei are doing in this update. With all of the other nonsense happening because of the shadow rifts, it feels like they are actually affecting the world.
I would like it if the lunarrifts had some things happen around the world as a cause for their existence. Maybe like celestial fissures doing something similar to the nightmare ones down below?

I’m curious as to see how Maxwell interacts with this part of the update, like what does he say when he examines Charlie the shadow hand or the completed gateway and how strong is this new armor for his duelists
I hope it can at least be repaired/refuelled being made of cloth and whatnot

Part 3 is going to be a really, really big deal for this franchise... 0_o
And finally, things are starting to fall into place!
The forces Shadow and Lunars are making their final push to claim control of the Constant.
Part 3 is going to be even more insane than I originally hoped it would!
I really like the shadow side of this rift nonsense more than the lunar one, the new enemies that the rift spawn are less annoying than those damm brighshades that don´t stop invading my crops, The shadow reaper is useful both as a weapon and just as a quick reaping tool, something I think many will appreciate. And the armor is kinda cool and can be good combined with the reaper but extra damage, the umbrella is kinda meh, but is not that big of a deal.
The umbrella is essentially though. Like, super essential if you want to continue doing anything in the caves.

This update felt much more substantial and... Things, than the moon one did.
We need another antagonist besides Charlie. She's on the Shadow side and have one for the Lunar side. Both are out to get us but maybe we can find them in the world and work something out. Maybe if we could befriend charlie she'd instead appear in front of us in the dark and talk to us. She'd give you an objective or something but listening to her voice in the dark will speed up the Sanity drain instead of hurting you directly if you choose to help her.

@@hton2404 i was thinking about wagstaff actually too. Maybe he could potentially be the final post game boss. I thought maybe Charlie too but i feel like Wagstaff could eventually take the Throne from Charlie. Unlike Maxwell, Wilson and Charlie, Wagstaff is the only one that would probably come to the Constant on his own maybe seeking power for himself
So beard, how would you rate this new shadow based armor compared to the ones you got from the werepig, I was doing a Wanda long term and wanted to see what the scoop was
I mean, they're practically essential if you're planning on continuing a World passed these rifts so they got that going for them for sure! Dreadstone is still just sort of, there, ya know? Wanda will be great due to them being Shadow Weapons/Armor as well so there ya go!

I'd like to know if the greater gestalts in the lunar grotto (with the archives powered) are hostile towards the new mobs since they do appear to be pseudo-nightmares.
That is, if they can even spawn there to begin with. :)
Rifts spawn in all mushtree forests and muddy biomes but probably not the Lunar Grotto. That already has too much going on.
i just realized the void helmet is the only full head helmet so far that keeps the eye shape
So will it be possible to have both kinds of rifts in your world or by choosing one you eliminate possibility of having the other?
They're on two separate shards so I really don't know why we couldn't have both.

The boulders droppingfrom quakes seem concerning as there are no counter measures for it at alland they destroy your structures
The counter is to run, if you're solo that is. Boulders only fall near the player so bare that in mind but if you have friends the earthquakes drop boulders PER player and it's really, really bad so...

Top right, it's the in-game Wiki now. See something, examine something, kill something, eat something, etc. and the game makes a file of it essentially. It's... okay. It's full of a ton of false information right now and it's super annoying with the notifications but we'll see how it goes.

This is cool and all, but I really wish we got more nightmare creatures in general. We only have 4 and 2 of them are specific to the boat.

Definitely looks cool. I wish Charlie didn’t actually appear on screen though, kinda was hoping that would be a bigger reveal. It also kinda ruins the ominous/ambiguous factor of the character. Also the art seems a little rough for the new shadow creatures but that’s alright cause it’s a beta. Overall, I think this’ll be a better update than taking root.
Her art is rough which doesn't help but she's still being cheeky as she normally is so that's nice!

No, the Scrapbook is kind of annoying and intrusive to me at the moment. It's just an in-game Wiki that updates when we see things, eat things, examine things, kill things, etc. That's it.

A mod called, Too Many Items+. It's essentially the Console without needing to open the Console.
Bruh I haven't even gotten to pearls quests yet, all these updates are for the way later game 😂😭

To be fair, the Brightshade Staff is actually really good against the Shadelings. In fact, all the Brightshade stuff is!

I think they should make the armor and the reaper stronger. At least I am happy we got 2 unique and not useless items. Also doesn't this new armor make the dreadstone armor a bit redundant?
I mean, Dreadstone still regenerates over time and is faster to get then these two things so...
