His gte swapped is300 is what I want to see👀
@10:13 not true, I daily drove an fbo stock block and turbo evo x on 29lbs with pump gas. Beat the piss out of it nearly everyday when I bought it in Florida and still held up solid when I got stationed at Fort bliss on the same map even with the difference in elevation she still stayed consistent. Hands down a reliable setup if you can keep up with the maintenance.
I say cars don't like you driving them like babys, beat the piss out of them and they'll last longer 😂😂😂
such a sweet ride fed want to build one eventually after my blob eye is done
WTF? "Sue-gah"? lol, it's sugar without the r! Are you Canadian or something?
I just recently boosted my FRS after owning it for 4 years. Im at a total of 114k miles and the car is handling boost great!
Running about 10psi with a 7163 EFR turbo on the Full Race kit. Its really hard to beat just how fun this car is
I don’t mind RC, he’s come a long way in regards to MMA media, but Chandler seems so natural and relatable.. not to mention it is nice not hearing a weird compliment between DC and RC every 20 seconds
Would really like one of these with a K swap, or to keep it toyota a 3uz
3uz would be perfect
Look it up I think someones done the kswap already, turbo as well... well it needs to be because stock k's are trash lmao 😂
I’ve never heard any say “don’t floor it in 4th gear” before!
Not being able to use 4th gear would DRIVE. ME. NUTS.
Idk how he does it 😂
He said don't floor it, like don't do a pull in forth or go WOT from 3rd to 4th... and I feel him because the 4th on my subaru grinds 😅
WOW! Thank you.
First time I did an SCCA track day one of the BRZs immediately blew up lol
The way he said “suga Sean O’Malley”😭
I'm digging this... Matter fact you know how I feel about this whole feature......YUP😊!
This thing's sweet. Does it have UEL headers on it? Getting EJ noises from an FA was unexpected
i daily drive a boosted gt86 with a jdl turbo kit, close to 350hp never had a problem with it what so ever
I really want to get one but that recall thing is scary….when looking for a used one, how would I know that it’s been fixed or if it missed that part in the assembly line?…I really need to know, thx guys!…btw awesome car!
Don't buy a 2013 those were the ones with the recall . I have a 2015 trd with 240k miles no issues
@@jc76811 wow!!! Ok thx for the heads up!
I wouldn't waste my time building the stock fa20 to be honest though keeping mine stock .. will kswap it in the future cost around the same as building the fa20 plus turbo kit. Swap kit is 10k everything is included it's a turn key setup
@@Dhern1212no prob man . Just get one that's been taken care of mine was owned by a older guy in his 40s bone stock no mods , one owner car.
Get one and swap a ej in
sooga sean o'malley had me rolling in my seat
So, who builds the most robust built FA20? Outfront or IAG? IAG looks like they put a ton of R&D into their stuff. This is the first time I've heard of Outfront.
They really outta TT it. Sounds like keeping the turbo spooled would be a pain in the ass
There is a guy in my city who has installed a Toyota Tundra V8 with a TRD supercharger on an 86 and it didn’t cost him much and never broke down on him and he daily it
Yooooooo find this man and let's see 😮
I really want to see Dave drive an Integra Type S, now that they're out. Every time I see one in person it looks way better than, in a picture, and I'm starting to see how they based the 4-door sports sedan idea off of the first-gen Integra, in the first place. Seems to have some nice suspension and wheels and tires and on average about 5 horsepower more than a Civic Type R. And I know Dave doesn't have the Ego where he would refuse to be wrong about something, he is a class act ❤❤
Maybe he can swap in a transmission from the new gr86. They have a carbon 4th gear now because the old car’s 4th gear issue
at this level you just swap in a CD009
I’ve always liked this platform. They are sporty and cool, but fairly light and different from all the FWD tuners.
But if I was to get one, it would be the later Toyota version. Didn’t they come with an inline four?
No, and scion is Toyota. There’s rumors that Toyota will be ditching Subaru in the future on the GR86. That’ll likely mean no more boxer engine.
@@stevef3521
Well dang, I thought there was a different engine available in these. Hm.
Toyota manufactures the entire vehicle lineup for Subaru, so that would be a massive change.
They’re both manufactured by Subaru. Toyota tunes the ECU for the GR86 after it rolls off Subaru’s production line. Toyota owns ~20% of Subaru. Speculation is Toyota isn’t happy with the new model’s FA24. There’s the RTV issue, but more worrisome is the loss of oil pressure in fast right hand cornering. It’s not a huge issue if you’re not tracking it, but it’s marketed as a track car. I hope they part ways and give us something that’s not a hybrid or an EV. It’d make sense if they used the 3cyl turbo that’s in the GR Corolla, but it’d be really cool to see what they’d do with it leaving it NA.
other parties that will not be
mentioned? ooooo spicy hot tea ☕️ 👀
It’s hard to believe they were the same price as a coyote mustang
Why he hasn’t built that transmission with billet internals and beefy synchros or swapped it with a cd-009 from nissan. It’s very minimal modifications needed if at all.
*Every TDIB post lately*
DOESNT MAKE SENSE
THIS ALMOST KILLED ME
I CANT EVEN BELIEVE THIS
He’s driving some really cool builds.
i need to learn how to make enough money to actually work on my BRZ
Out of curiosity, that black gt86 you guys beat the snot of, was it original in Florida?
All that work and money only to get gapped by a K-Tune Civic
This has the looks of a sports car, plus it’s rwd and it handles better.
@@stevef3521 did you not watch the video? Lol there's 80+ grand in that car lmfao
@@singular9 Yeah. He’s doing something different, what he wants and enjoying it. That’s what’s great about this hobby. I think with all the research and money spent, he’s well aware that he could’ve gone the k swap route, or many others for that matter.
Love my 630whp BRZ but it breaks ALL the time
these cars the Toyota 86 are popular in Australia wow
The car sounds incredible
Bro said “sooga sean o’malley” 😂😂
What's the wheel and rim specs? Love those meaty tires! Also, what's the brand of that chin? Never seen one before.
Dale yeah
If you ever get a chance to review Michael Neats Toyota 86 code name project genos 500+HP time attack car, you should.
So greddy has bootleg turbos, what about HKS? are they bootleg as well?
Unpopular Opinion: a SR20DeT from the S15 would be killer in this
Another unpopular opinion, NO
Why? Because parts are hard to find and engines are expensive 😂
