Charles Xavier founded the X-Men. The X-Men are students in his school. While he leads them, and counts himself one of them, he’s always viewed as the teacher.

8:19 Jean was originally introduced as Marvel Girl in X-Men #1 (1963) a name she would keep throughout the 1960s. Around the 1980s the name was dropped when she became The Phoenix and then post Phoenix she was just known as Jean. If you never read or grew up with the original 1960s comics then you most likely never heard Jean go by the name Marvel Girl.
24:49 Marvel did have more flexibility when it comes to animated stuff as they never sold off the animation rights to anyone unlike the films. Sony does own the rights to a show like The Spectacular Spider-Man series while Fox owned the rights to all the original X-Men Animated Series but for the cause of X-Men this never limited cameos by non X-Men characters. That's why throughout the 1990s to the 2010s we saw crossovers within animation and video games but not in the movies.
Also because Disney owns Fox own this allowed them to grab the rights to the X-Men Animated Series and create X-Men 97.

I love this show. The only thing I love more, is how its bringing so many people together to witness and share it. I really enjoyed your reactions to this episode. My reaction wasnt nearly as entertaining. LOL I sat in front of the TV with nothing playing for 10 minutes after the end of this one. Catatonic. It was surreal. These artists and creators have pretty much had me by huevos since the first episode. Cant wait for your next upload.

@@fallibleangel9101 The entire point of X-Men is that "woke" is a good thing. You should watch the final episode again, you missed the point. Also how some people stick a shapeshifter into their own tiny view of gender never ceases to astound me.

Omega-level basically means that the mutant controls a fundamental force of the universe and that there is theoretically no limit to their power. Essentially, they could achieve God-like power if they kept developing and training it. Omega level mutants that she would know include Magneto, Storm, and Jean. However, just because they have Omega-Level potential does not mean that they have achieved it yet. Gambit is also an Omega-Level mutant, but he intentionally underwent a procedure to limit his power since he would theoretically be capable of destroying the universe.

This was a great episode. It was a very insane, intense, and dark episode. The writers are killing it with these episodes. It is nice to see Nightcrawler again as well his bond with half-sister Rogue and Gambit. Talk about so many emotions. Gambit wants a relationship with Rogue but can't because of Rogue powers to not be able to touch. Cyclops dealing with giving up his son. The media is all in the X-Men business. Jean is not trusting her memories. Because she can't tell if it actually her or Madelyne Pryor. But wow, she actually kissed Wolverine. And man, her being pissed off a Scott for having a psychic connection with Madelyne Pryor.
Rogue is caught in a love triangle with Gambit and Magneto. I'm happy that the show gave us a backstory into Rogue pasted relationship with Magneto before joining the X-Men. We get to see Cable as an adult. The Sentinel attacking the mutants of Genosha was insane with so many mutants getting killed. It seems that were the images Madelyne Pryor had seen when she used her powers to get into Henry Gyrich mind for information in episode 1. Man Magneto and Gambit sacrificed themselves to save the mutants as well. When Rogue was holding Gambit and she said sugar... I can't feel you line my thoughts was oh f*ck that line hurts bad. Great job to the voice actress of Rogue Lenore Zann did a fantastic job with that line. This may be the best episode so far. I like the two plot lines between Storm and Professor Xavier. Storm without her powers is in a race against time to save Forge, who's poison by Adversary. And how to find the courage to face her fear, which is being a claustrophobic and the doubts that Adversary put into her mind. To see her power through and get her powers was an awesome moment. Only after curing Forge did she see the destruction of Genosha.
It's great to see Charles again after the final episode of the original X-Men the Animated Series. Despite finding happiness with Lilandra, he must have to prove himself by Lilandra sister Deathbird that if he's one now. He must remove his memories of his time with the X-Men. In which we get insight into the Shi'ar Empire and their politics/culture.
Xavier, having everyone on the Astral plane created like a classroom to teach everyone about coexisting, was a cool moment. Until seeing a vision of Gambit death in which convinced him to call the engagement off to Lilandra so he could go back to earth. In which the person responsible for the death and destruction of Genosha is Mr. Sinister. In which I'm not surprised. Overall, this was a great episode. It's not better than the last. But anyway I hope you two have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care and stay amazing Jay Lee Media.

Professor X being likened to Andy via Toy Story is very spot on
Logan/Scott/Jean are always present as a thhrouple in most adaptations. Sometimes there’s moments of Scott/Logan, Logan/Jean, etc.

Genosha is right up there with the Red Wedding and the first episode of Invincible as episodes that absolutely deliver gut punch after gut punch. The new fans go for an incredibly emotional ride, while the book readers who just hear the name Genosha cringe and whisper to themselves "Oh boy, here we go..." But even as a book reader, you're shocked that they would ever go that far. At points, it's even more brutal than the book version. I mean, Robb's wife made it away in the book; the book version of Guardians of the Globe get killed pretty quickly and easily so they never really process that they're watching their friend murder their other friends. And in X-Men, book Genosha was mostly just no-name characters that nobody cared about, which was ridiculous considering that 95% of the mutant population was wiped out in the attack. Suddenly, your favorite characters aren't wearing plot armor. Anything could happen. You can't just watch it casually, and count on everything going right at the end. Hell, even here a lot of people will say they expect Cable to fix it. It's hard not to get obsessed with this story. It almost seems too good to be true.

Nightcrawler is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly in association with the X-Men. Created by writer Len Wein and artist Dave Cockrum, he debuted in the comic book Giant-Size X-Men #1 (May 1975).[1] By the time of his creation, there was already another Marvel character with the same name, but with a hyphen (Night-Crawler), which was later changed to Dark-Crawler to avoid confusion. He is also the Stepbrother to Rogue

Storm's powers are heavily influenced by her emotions. This is the reasons why she has to be emotionally strict. If she allows herself to be depressed, she could start a hurricane or worse.

Wolverine became prominent because the directed, Bryan Singer, never read or knew about the X-Men. He only knew Wolverine. But think about it, All Wolverine can do it scratch and heal. There are being that control the single most destructive power on Earth *Weather", Control minds, charge the entire Earth with kinetic energy, control the magnetic field of the Earth, fly, that are indestructible, etc. However, Wolverine is everyone's favorite. I still don't get it.
FYI, Marvel Girl was Jean Grays original name.

Why would your favorite be the most powerful? The favorite is usually the most interesting. Or the coolest. Or the funniest.
In my opinion, Wolverine's background, abilities and attitude make him more interesting than Storm and Jean, who have less interesting personality quirks and their background is comparatively tame. He is not more interesting than Magneto or Xavier, though.

It's really annoying how the movie fans say that this show "weakened" Wolverine just because he's not the main focus. X-Men isn't all about him, it's about a team. I'd much rather have 1 weakened character than a bunch of them.
Also, I'm actually more of a Nightcrawler fan.💙
