Everyone seems to forget that Xavier didn’t leave earth to woo Lilandra. He left because he was dying and the Shiar had the tech to save him.
The good news is that Beau Demayo finished writing two seasons. So we'll at least get another season with his writing. I'm just afraid of what comes after season 2 because Demayo's writing is so on point that if the next writer is not on the same level. The drop in quality will be very noticeable
I just can't wait to see what the series have in store because with how things played out in this episode. Someone really, really big is coming. Magneto throwing his helmet onto Xavier like that is a HUGE foreshadow as to who the next big bad is..if you know, you know 😉😉

In the opening sequence we have scenes related to the story being told, and we have seen Phoenix... And Apocalypse... So....

...so yes, the comment in this episode was a shot at the movies (to the delight of many fans)
He ripped the adamantium off his bones, thru his major organs and out his body. In the comics Wolverine almost died and his healing factor was so over-taxed, that it stopped working for months.
Then it returned twice as powerful.

Oh yeah, the X-men were a biiiig commentary on Civil Rights, as well as gay rights, etc. I mean, remember Magento's speech in the first episode to the UN? He literally calls out how believing differently, being of different color or loving differently gets you made into an outcast.
they was never for gay rights they just start saying that in the 2000s the x men have always been about civilrights and even womens rights
Episode 10...pull pin and toss. It will continue to blow the minds of everyone even if you know what is happening. That is why this has been soooooooo good.
If no one has said this yet: the creator already had season 2 written when he was fired. So the next season will still be the original vision

Wolverine's healing factor doesn't allow him to die from this, but it is so horrible he wish he could. Also if they follow the comics Xaiver's response to Magneto's actions are just as savage (Onslaught Saga). Phoenix and Jean are two separate beings. The Phoenix Force chose Jean as a host. She cannot just summon the Phoenix Force, Phoenix will have to choose to return. (please ignore those last terrible X-men movies that retconned this from the comics and the original X-men series. The Phoenix Force is a cosmic being (Like the Living Tribunal, Eternity and Death). She is the amalgamation of all the psonic energy in the universe.

You know what happens to every nuclear power plant on earth when containment loses power for 24 hours and the power has nowhere to go?
X-Men is great because the material resonates on so many levels, everyone can find a way to see themselves in the story/characters. It's humanizing (delicious irony that it is). It's why it has such a diverse following. While it fits all these different ideas, it does not solely belong to one of them.
I highly urge you both to go back and watch the old show (if for nothing else, to get the prologue to this one). And if Christina wants more X-Men, watch Wolverine and the X-Men and X-Men: Evolution too. All of them are a different angle on the same old characters.

Another chaoic episode. Magneto is back in his original red and purple suit. Xavier sees the destruction of the mansion. Jubliee and Roberto are running from the FOH. I'm happy to see Storm back with the X-Men along with Forge. I can understand some of the X-Men being upset with Xavier for giving Magneto the title and leadership of the X-Men.
Oh man, poor Rogue thinking Gambit is alive. Now, the X-Men must convince Magneto to reverse the changes he made to the earth by turning the power back on. Awesome, we get the introduction of the Blue team and Gold team. Now we know that Xavier is familiar with Bastion since he was a kid. I felt Magneto pain when he felt he failed to deliver a peaceful world for mutants like Leech. As his and many deaths that he couldn't save. I understand his reason for refusing to try Xavier way of trying to make things work between mutants and humans. I wasn't surprised that Rogue sided with Magneto. As well Roberto for his mother betraying him. I expected there would be a divide. I like the share moment with Scott and Nathan.
I love Wolverine, Cyclops, and Cable suits. I love the Storm dialogue with Jean before they head into battle. Morph turning into the Hulk was awesome. The fight with X-Men Gold vs. Sinister and the Sentinel were great. I really do hope they explain the moment Jean got switch with Madelyne. X-Men Blue battling Magneto and him telling Xavier to shut up was hilarious. Sinister controlling Cable mind. I was shocked that Wolverine stabbed Magneto. But Magneto ripping the adamantium out of him was indeed shocking. This episode didn't disappoint. I'm looking forward to the finale of the season. I hope you have a wonderful day. @JayLee Media,strings wouldn't keep no helmet on for Magneto,but a built in clamp lock will be better,ha?. And the method how Magneto can remove Logan's metal from his body is,Magneto has the ability to alter all types of metal by changing shapes or liquidfy it to be extracted from a body's pores?.

Yeah Magneto destabilized the Adamantium first turning it into a liquid then ripped it out. He probably could have just ripped the whole skeleton out but I doubt even comics could get away with gore of that level. The scene where it happens is actually almost identical to the panel in the comic

Magneto is wrong, he's just as bad as Bastion. He is planning on destroying the human race the same way Bastion was planning on destroying the mutants. Yes Magneto is reacting to Bastion and yes the Mutants deserve justice, but Magneto's way just leads to more loss of life.

Right or wrong, I at least empathize with him. Magneto actively tried to reform. Look at what he was rewarded with. And if it wasn't Bastion, it would've been the Friends of Humanity, The Purifiers, or the U-Men
Bastion is not just eliminating mutants but humans also. He is following the protocol Mastermold has set up which is to replace humans with machines so basically the "people" left in Bastion's utopia are not really human but a human-machine hybrid. Magneto feels that the only way mutants can live peacefully is if humans disappear completely
Genocide is genocide, no matter who is behind it and for what reason.
Not every person belongs
to hate groups like Friends of Humanity, just like. It every mutant have powers that are potentially dangerous.
Do they deserve to die? Most of us would be sympathetic to mutants. Do we deserve to be killed by Magneto?
What about all the other life forms on this planet? Do the animals who live in the oceans, roam the earth and fly through the air deserve to die?
Last but not least, Magneto’s Asteroid M only has so much space. What will happen to the mutants who can’t get on Asteroid M?
Mutants don’t develop their powers until puberty? How many mutants who are too young to manifest their powers will die?

2:28 It doesn't matter if one can see a person's mind and see their hatred when their dream is working towards co-existence through building trust and perserverance. Just because the other party refuses to tolerate your existence does not mean that you should give up or resort to less savory means.
That said, judging from the stories that the show is adapting and my knowledge of the original comic book runs, I think that the showrunners are slowly working towards what you want to see.

Things started getting better when RFK was in there, but they shot him for that. We haven't had an actual well regulated militia since, on that level of public visibility that I've heard of at least. @@ComicPhreak I got the old Fatal Attraction issue right here (I got it out of its box for the episode lol) and Jean clearly says she's keeping Wolverine's body together with her telekinesis. He's ripped apart. Magneto was not gentle lol. I admit the drawings don't show exactly what's going on. Where did you read it was liquified and removed through the skin pores?

No one knew Genosha was going to happen, including Magneto.
NIGHTCRAWLER was on Genosha and almost died saving her and Magneto from being blasted.
Storm wasn’t off on a vacation. She was dealing with the trauma of losing her powers.
To flippantly say “Been here, done that” while referencing Jean’s deaths was appalling g. YOU did not DIE, “Girl”, JEAN DID.
The way she folded up Gambit’s trench coat and left it on Xavier’s wheelchair was disrespectful to Gambit’s memory as well as Xavier.
