The fact that Nightcrawler just runs up to hug Rogue and Gambit is a true call back to the episode where they met.
He also has a but of his XMen Evolution playfulness to him, I'm pretty hyped to sit down and watch this.

He seems a lot happier than the last time we saw him
The first time we saw him, he was being threatened to be burned at the stake, and the second time had to confront his mother who through him down a waterfall and a brother who was bigoted in a uniquely modern American way.
For the past few months here, he's not only not considered a freak, but apparently very important and, if it's anything like other media, been racking up digits. ("What is love without sin?" kind of indicates Church boy has been living it up.)

Though I’m not a religious man, I think making Nightcrawler a man of god was a very smart move for his character. Showing that appearances don’t define who a person truly is within.

Im a believer and I love the well done complexity of NightCrawler.
He isn't just some oblivious religious butt monkey that is treated like a buffoon.
He knows the world is messed up but understands that there is a God who loves us while not demeaning others trauma/pain.
Plus.. he's just so lovable haha.

Whoa he is a pure joy vibe. I really feel like this show gives us these characters as their truest self or fullest potential.
Missed opportunity: They could have had a subplot where Kurt has been using his connections to the church to find and give a home to abused and/or abandoned human children of mutant parents, so they don't turn out like Graydon. He could have been on Genosha trying to find some of these parents.
There is a 99% chance everything gets changed by time travel shinanigans thus reversing all deaths.
I think it will. Gambit is so important for Rogue's journey
Genosha massacre is here to stay darling, it is one of the most important milestones in marvel. Gambit will probably return tho

Genosha is a fixed point in time, so cannot be fixed. However, i do think Gambits death isn't fixed (I feel like every time it happens to Genosha, another X-Men dies).
@@nickdentoom1173 They killed Gambit so Nightcrawler can shine and that's what I hate. They even had to make Rogue go into a coma so he could be "badass". The reality is Rogue and Gambit are dynamite characters. Unlike Nightcrawler every show they have been in has succeeded. So if this is the decision the writers made to serve Kurt I am sick of it. They do enough pandering for his fans in the comics
I feel like he's one of those characters that's genuinely hard not to like. 😊😄😇

When I saw Nightcrawler in this episode I cheered or rather squealed in excitement. YES he is finally here and for some reason more fun than usual. He is WAY more cheerful than the last 2 episodes I saw him in b4 this series was supposedly over. I only hope we don't JUST see him in 2 or 3 episodes. I want him officially a part of the team.

Man as soneone whos reading the 70s/80s Xmen this is like seeing an old friend. Its weird because hes the staple of xmen for those two decades and yet hes like a stranger to this new xmen.

I love the animation on how he hugs rogue and knocks her into Gambit and then teleports again so that its a group hug. Nightcrawlers save on Rogue and Magneto was pretty dope

Low-key been only focused the drama in this show forgot about Nightcrawler speaking of which are we gonna see Colossus, Scarlet Witch, Quicksliver, or even Deadpool
This is amazing actually. Mutants are still people and before getting there they all came from all sorts of backgrounds and religious beliefs. Kurt understands that sometimes people might need a faith to find peace on an otherwise awful world so he made sure he'd help not only catholics but everyone who identifies with a religion. Magneto had most likely lost any sort of faith or didn't think much of religion so it was good that Kurt was there to take that in consideration. Also it is just beautiful to see him going around the city with a smile and meeting his friends

Hate to say it; but it seems they already watered it done in this episode already. Only time will tell I suppose, but any direct mention of God, Christianity are usually avoided in today's television, as much as they avoided direct reference to the Holocaust in Magnetos back story.

I also wish they didn't make it so dark. I mean I heard about a comic series mentioning Magneto's death but the rest was too much. They made so many mutants die including him AND Gambit! Plus they hurt my favorite being Nightcrawler! I almost thought he was dead. Thank goodness he's not I would have been SO mad! Still Gambit should not have died in my opinion. What If Storm who is said to get her powers back soon and revive a certain mutant is forced to choose between Gambit and Magneto for who gets to live again?
