I think X-Men 97 is amazing. Like you, I’ve never seen the original series because I’m only 16 but I love anything X-Men so I still enjoyed the entire series and all the X-Men. I love how it’s not “The Wolverine Show” and focuses on all of the X-Men. I love how they did Cyclops and just know that this show only gets better.

You should deff watch an xmen recap for the original show. Also, yes, rogue is strong, she was forced by her evil mother to hold on to Captain Marvel too long and absorbed all her power and putting her in a coma for years.

Those movies were the biggest disgrace the REAL XMEN fans received, but this, THIS IS THE REAL X-MEN, the most accurate version of the X-men apart from the comics

If u watch the original show it might give you enough content til s2 of 97. Agents of Shield gets really good. The silver surfer animated series is fantastic as welll. Subscribed
