Scotty!!! I am so happy that you are back!!!! I've had a hard time finding you the last few times that I needed advise and was very sad because you had been my go to, a very good go to for some time. Not sure when you came back because I just learned today when I pulled up TH-cam and saw you on my homepage....I was way excited when I noticed that the video was posted within the last 24 hours!!! Now I know where to go! When I have time I will be searching through your videos to see if you have one on how to replace a serpentine belt and tensioner for a 2005 Dodge Neon. I did find a couple videos which were helpful although I'd like to find some more, or at least something with a little more detail. I am not a mechanic although your videos have helped me in the past to correctly diagnose and understand exactly how to take care of any issues that come up for me. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!

Hi Scotty! Thanks for your informative videos. My current project is a 2006 Jetta with the 2.5 5 cylinder engine. It was my father's last car and has 174,000 original miles. It was driven by our oldest grandson to college for 5 years. It is now sort of a petri dish of parts that are either worn out or on their way out. I bought one of your affordable scan tools today and I am waiting to begin exploration of this challenge. Trying to get the car ready for the next grandson to use. It has some positive aspects. No body rust or dents, motor, transmission and radiator do not leak. It would have been much cheaper to attack problems a little at a time as they occur instead of trying to catch up to 5 years of neglect all at once. I still remember both mom and dad in this car. Memories can be very costly😮

One shining example is you, that I have infinite respect for! You have mastered the vast subject of car repair, car maintenance, and perhaps most importantly, vehicle reliability. And you explain that mastery with simplicity and rugged transparency that we, the laymen can readily understand. I bought the Ancel AD410 on the recommendation from Scotty. I think it cost me $40 at the time (it's $45 now). Best purchase I made. Had some issues with the transmission. Gave me the code. Googled the code and it completely agreed with what happened to me. Brought it to my mechanic, told him the code. He focused in the transmission, checked with an online, professional forum. I thought it needed new electronics. He found out the circuitry was adjustable. Did some tweaks. Said it should make it last for a while longer. Couple of thousand miles and it is still going fine with no codes.
The scan tool in this video does seem to be a little cheaper and just as good, if not better.

The connector would not fit my Honda so I bought a new inexpensive one. It is much like the one Scotty has in it's vast capabilities. They are improving all the time. You do have to spend more to get ABS and SRS (airbag) and other mfg specific codes.

I got off, drove back home slowly and used the Creader 3001 the next morning. Didnt see a trouble code, but looking at live data, I saw that Cylinder 4 was randomly misfiring. I had changed the spark plugs at 105k miles 4 years ago, but wondered when the coils were changed...they never were since i bought the car and the original owner had traded it at 98k. I placed in brand new iridium spark plugs with Duralast platinum coils, drove it for 30 mins...no issues. That $25 Creader 3001 definitely would save me hundreds from going to a mechanic for a full tune up that I can do easily myself!

Hi Scotty, I will probably buy this! My son just bought a plug in named Fuel Shark and I'm hoping it's safe (just $7 on line). Seems to have improved performance on his 2007 Acura Tlx and claims it saves fuel. I have a picture but haven't figured out how to attach it, yet. Yes, I'm as old as you.
