While I've never worked in fast food, I do know that if I were in OP's position, I'd have simply told Karen that we were closed and to go home. If she insisted on sitting in the drive-thru, I'd have called the cops on her. I wouldn't even give her the trash food at all. Give Karens an inch and they'll take a mile.

They had all fucking day to pick up their prescriptions! It won't kill them to wait til the next day. The pharmacy isn't going anywhere. It'll still be there and you'll still get your meds.

      1. The customer is NOT always right.
      2. Customers are inconsiderate and ignorant of us employees' time.

For Story 3, I used to work in workers compensation and on one or two cases, the injured employee was forced to work despite evidence of such injury. The legal proceedings were short as the judge found the employer liable for aggravating or causing further injuries. The financial amounts awarded to the injured parties were huge. I smiled and pulled in behind him, leaving only a couple inches to his back bumper and went in. He gave me a nasty grin, but I ignored him. I spent over a half hour shopping. He was screaming and cursing when I came out. I wasted another half hour rearranging things in my truck to unload my purchases. . As I'm finally walking to the driver's door he yelled, "If you ever do that again!" I sighed, "If you eve do that again, I'll simply push your truck through the wall." He finally shut up.

I once had someone accuse me of faking my amputation. Even though my prosthetic leg consists of a black carbon fiber socket mounted in a 2 inch dimeter pylon.
There was nowhere for my lower leg to be other than where ever they took medical waste.
Despite this she still insisted I was faking because she assumed a real amputee would not be capable of the things I can do.
I lost my leg at age 3, coming up on 51 years ago in January. I have pushed the boundaries of my limitations for my entire life, so I am very much aware of what I can and cannot do. I know that most people think a limb loss is way more debilitating than it actually is.
I have not discovered very many things I can't do, and most of them have more to do with limitations of talent than legs, for example, I can't dance. As an adult I saw a little girl with an amputation very much like my own, and she is winning competitions against able bodied dancers.
Or maybe she just heard me wrong when I said I was a bellow knee amputee and she thought I had said bologna amputee.

    Story 4:
This reminds me of something my dad told me about. When my grandfather on my dad's side was in high school, he and his friends were quite the jokers. Now, this is back when cars' engine spaces were at least half empty instead of jam-packed with everything but the kitchen sink. My granddad and one of his friends worked in an auto garage, so here's what they'd do. Grandpa and his friends would go through the big bins of broken pieces and STUFF the hood of their car with a bunch of things a car CANNOT run without. We're talking pistons, spark plugs, the works. That done, they'd rig up a cup full of gasoline right above the exhaust pipe and attach a string to it. They'd drive around for a while, then, at an intersection, they'd do this:
The light would turn green, they'd pull into the intersection, and one of them would pull the string. The cup would tip over, pouring gas onto the exhaust, creating a cloud of smoke. They'd all jump out at once matrix-style, run to the front, pop the hood, and crowd around it. They would then start grabbing whatever from the parts they crammed in and throwing them out over their shoulders. Meanwhile, one of them watched the light. When the light went yellow, they jumped back, slammed the hood shut, got back in the car, and drove off.
So imagine being one of the people around them. You're just happily (or unhappily) driving along and a car suddenly breaks down. Its passengers jump out, open the hood, and remove everything essential to the car's function. Then, that done, they get back in and drive off.

There was the spitting up huge wads of phlegm into the food, to throwing a steak on the ground and stomping on it with their filthy work boots...and then serving that to problem customers. It seems there are many cooks out there who feel justified to take their rage out on others, from kitchen staff to customers. IDK why they get like that, or if that kind of temperment is what it takes to be a cook/chef, but I can tell you that eating food cooked by someone like that is like eating poison...even when the food is not a malicious compliance product.
