Well, here's Lesson #1 on sharing - you don't share underwear.

I’d be going off on somebody for taking my underwear! That stuffs expensive! Especially in my size! I’d say , you’d really want me to share my used underwear with a child? That’s disgusting! The nerve of some people! I’m sorry but I figured out what she was after when she said she left the teddy bear. She’d didn’t leave no dang teddy bear. She was stealing the underwear. What a pos.
That grandma has to be on the verge of some type of mental illness to do what an entitled child would do. I mean, stuffing chunks of cake down her gut. I’d go NC completely unless she apologizes and then I’d have to think about it.

    • @annana6098

She really should have just bought her daughter something if she wanted to cave in to the screaming and crying. If child insists she wants THOSE underwear, tell her tough luck, they're not her size. You can get something for you that fits you. If she's big enough that she's wearing an adult woman's underwear size--she's old enough to stop crying for someone else's underwear! Gross.

The mom has a record of breaking and entering. I'm sure she thought it was justified for the same reason she's giving here: learn to share.
What she's sadly teaching her daughter is simple: the world doesn't want to share so you have to take it in order to teach them to just give it to you.
It's a freaking cycle that she has no problem repeating.

Gonna say that if anyone complains about free food they are usually not in need of it to begin with. My church keeps a loaded pantry with many unperishables as well as lunch meat and breads. We have never had someone complain about what we give them. We usually give the ones needing help the same package every time. That way no one can complain what they get. We always get nothing but gratitude for what we do. We even opened a small garage next to our church with beds and 2 bathrooms for the local homeless to get out of the elements. Never had any issues.

  • @SuperNovaKat64
    @SuperNovaKat64 ปีที่แล้ว +12

Story 3: Food is food man.. I was homeless for years and I'm disabled so we don't have much. You will never hear me complain about free food. If it's something no one in the house will eat, we don't complain and just offer it up to someone else in our community who might not have a lot either.

She must have been living on another planet. The waitress (and waiter), will be dress as good as possible and they will put make up to a reception like this. It's freaking normal! And there are two reason for that : one, it's a wedding... does she expect waiters to look like trash? Two, if they have a bar and stuff like this, they will also get tipped and it's not secret to anybody that the social skill & good looking pay off for that kind of job. So, your cute waitress talk to your guess, gave them a good evening and you're unhappy of that.... wtf!!!

I have extreme anxiety when ordering and even if they give me the wrong thing, I'll go back and tell them "Sorry about the misunderstanding, but I didn't mention that I wanted [specific food setting] so would it be okay for you to remake it for me?" Cuz while I feel bad for messing up my own order and causing a bit of trouble, it costs nothing to be kind and gently clear up a misunderstanding, rather than expecting them to know what you want without telling them. I'll even pay for it if they need me to, but they couldn't know what I wanted if I didn't tell them, so they're not at fault here.

Story #2: It really sounds like grandma is showing early signs of dementia. Often, the 'social filter' is the first thing dementia patients lose, and if she was already an 'entitled princess', she's reverting back to an entitled princess child. Story 3, I work with a bread company. We give the local Foodbank thousands of loaves of bread a month. Years ago, 20 or so, this Foodbank told our supervision that we were giving them too much bread and they will no longer take it!! They also had an executive that let it be known that she was making $75,000 a year! This is where it gets good. The same day that they didn’t want any more bread they were on the evening news pleading for monetary donations for the poor hungry homeless. I can understand an abundance of a particular item but from that day forward I have NEVER given to that Foodbank. New leadership did come in and asked for donations which they did get. I always check who I give money to and if they have an executive board that is paid, sorry, no money from me.

I'd agree but at the same time I have a feeling grandma may have dementia or Alzheimer's. They go to crazy drastics like that. My grandma yelled at me once my whole childhood and after she started getting dementia she started constantly snapping at me and we were always at each other's throats. Like one time ants were in the house bad and I went to go feed my dog around 8pm and I noticed they were all in her dog food so I ran out into the kitchen with the dish threw it away while apologizing to my grandma for needing to turn a light on and she snapped on me telling me I should've thought about it earlier even tho that makes zero sense since you can't predict that but in her mind she believed it was. I know it's not my grandma when she gets like that even tho it's extremely hard to fully accept when it's not a side you've ever seen before. UNLESS this grandma has always been that way, they probably should get her into a brain specialist because even if it isn't dementia/Alzheimer's, if this way of acting is new it could be something else serious going on. I think strokes can cause outbursts but I think that's more when they can't communicate like they want so they get frustrated and can only clear their frustrations with anger/ violence kind of like severely mentally disabled kids.

@@carolinamendoza8092 it's sad really. It hurts a lot to see them go down hill. We recently had to put her in a care home for dementia and they seem really good. I just haven't been to see her since, my mom said everytime she goes grandma always asks about me so I know she hasn't forgot me I just worry the one time I can go will be the time she forget. I really haven't been going because I have a auto immune disorder and I'm sick constantly and you obviously don't want to make them sick especially when they get so far along they don't do anymore of their updated shots because they feel as if it's not worth it to make them suffer more but they do their best to keep them really healthy. I just worry if I go, they're going to get sick but I know deep down is my fear as well. It's like one day she's back to being grandma and the next she's really out of it and it's like the lights are on but no one's home if you get what I mean? Like their eyes are zonked out?
Does your grandma as well hide things? When we had her here she was getting meal supplement drinks she was in love with because she can't eat very well due to her stomach and she would go through like 8-10 a day if we didn't hide them and she would literally yell at us and tell us she knows she didn't drink that many and one of us must have, or she would put some in places she thought we didn't see. She even accused us one day of hiding them because"I know the boxes were right here you're hiding them because you think I'm drinking too many" even tho the shipment hadn't come in yet and the boxes she was thinking of was from days before.has your grandma done similar things? It was really weird to me because one day she understands it's her dementia and that she forgets and the next she's so adamant and will yell and say "there's nothing wrong with me I know how many I've had" I just kinda figured it was gonna be a constant thing not where it flips back and forth ya know?

Normally I only have something to say for one of these stories, but the first five are so outlandish that I have to say something about all of them!
Story 1. Any grown adult who complains about a toddler getting all the attention, when said toddler is getting possibly life threatening brain surgery, deserves to be repeatedly slapped in the face with a dead fish!
Story 2. Get over yourself, grandma! It's not your birthday, so what makes you think you're getting presents?
Story 3. Leave it to a Karen to act super ungrateful when getting FREE FOOD! Like seriously? The food is free and you're still complaining? If someone gave me free food, I'd probably start crying in joy!
Story 4. There's something really disturbing about a woman stealing someone else's lingerie and giving it to her young daughter to wear...like that is beyond creepy!
Story 5. Hey lady, you didn't say you wanted honey mustard! OP was asking what you wanted on your sandwich because that's how Subway works, they need to know what you want on your sandwich! You don't get to tell OP to stop asking "stupid" questions and then get mad at her when she fails to read your mind!
Story 6 was just kinda meh, so I didn't have anything to say about it. The events of the other five stories erked me much more.

My step-nephew was a thief. Everyone, including his EM, knew it. I would have to hide my collectables, games, tennis shoes, belts, and hats to keep them from being pinched. Didn't matter where I hid my things, this kid would search until he found them. It was a continuous cycle of visit, steal, call, and return. Each time, EM would use the excuse that she thought it was something he bought with his money or that she bought for him. The 5th time, the kid took my coin collection, 2 hats, shirts, and all of my video games. I was away at college, so no one was there to monitor my things. He spent my coins at face value and sold my games to his friends for little or nothing. One hat was returned in unwearable condition. The rest was just gone. EM started with her excuses, but my mom, brother, and I gave her an earful about enabling her child, telling her it was going to lead to worse down the road. My brother divorced her. Presently, the kid, now 24, is serving 8 years for armed robbery. His EM is still making excuses, saying it wasn't him.
