I finally got my grandma's peanut butter fudge recipe out of her this weekend after asking a few times in the past. She sadly probably won't be with us for another full year, so I wanted to be able to make it to remember her by. She gave me all the same ingredients (smaller ratios for a smaller batch) but didn't tell me the order to add things in or the texture I needed to get it to. I tried to make it 3 times calling her and my aunt multiple times for tips. It took your video (mentioning the exact temp to get it to) for me to get it right. I've go the 4th and only (I hope) successful batch cooling now. So, thank you for making that possible!

The marshmallow cream is my grandma and aunts secret ingredient to their fudge. Love this so much ❤️❤️

I just made this recipe and it’s amazing! Thank you for sharing. I also really liked how you let us know to wait 8-9 minutes for it to be the right temperature for those of us without a candy thermometer. 😊

I just made this recipe as my second attempt at fudge. My first time my fudge was gritty from the sugar and dry. This recipe is the opposite!! So creamy and smooth. Thanks so much!

oh my gosh. I am beside myself with happiness for finding this video. My mother and grandmother made what I believe to me this recipe and it was so awesome. However I haven't been able to track down the recipe. I am overjoyed to find this video. Thanks so much for taking the time to make and share this.

There's another channel 'Bake like a pro' has a very good PB fudge recipe. Only 4 ingredients, milk, sugar, vanilla and PB. Sooooo good 😋❗the only thing different i do from the video is, I use 1 cup PB, it will make the fudge a little harder other than soft. Other than that, I go by his recipe.

I made the peanut butter fudge yesterday and it came out great!! I made two tins for gifts and one for myself! Lol My husband who is diabetic had to have a piece also and loved it!! I will be making this again!! The only thing is that when I cut it, some of the pieces didn't come out as smooth as yours looked but next time I will put it in the refrigerator for a while before I cut it..

Thank you so much for this recipe!! Other than the fact that I used 3 cups of sugar instead of 4, I followed it exactly. My first time making fudge and it turned out perfectly. Thank you!! Yum!

THIS IS IT! Every time I went to Granddaddy's house, he had peanut butter fudge, chocolate fudge, and cheese straws waiting to be raided! Blindfolded, I could tell you where I was and I cherish those memories (both of my Grandmothers and one Grandfather died before I was 5, so Granddaddy (a NASA engineer) was my only conduit to times gone by. He used Milnot, a soybean "miik" as a Depression holdover. I have looked far and wide for his recipe...this is IT...thank you!

Thank you..I'm going to make the peanut butter fudge today..I'll let you know how it comes out.. I was looking at other recipes and some of them don't use butter..I'm going with the butter because that will give it a real good flavor..I'm not too keen on the 2 ingredient fudge..I guess it's good for something quick, but sometimes you have to take the time if you want something real good!! Thanks again!!

thank you so much!!! i was trying to follow the jet puff recipe, but it was just to difficult for me to comprehend with my learning disabilities. you made this so easy and fun! i used the cold water method to see if my candy was at the hard ball stage, i just dripped a few drops as it was boiling into my mixing cup half full until i saw little formed pellets in the water drop down to the bottom. i was taught this by my grandma, and it still works! i have no candy thermometer. lol i appreciate you so much for this video, i have it saved for my yearly christmas fudge, and making this is apart of how i celebrate christmas now, bc my family is smaller. it always makes me happy to make your recipie

12/23/21.....Wow this looks so delicious.....can't wait to make this one.....Thanks for the recipe & the video....next time show us all the way to the end when it cools down and when you come back to finish it, show us all the steps , vip for new people who maybe be learning to cook....I know lifting it out of the pan with the foil really makes it easier to cut, but I don't use foil....I use parchment paper....not hearing good things about food touching the foil.....they say ok to freeze in it but not cook or use is to hold cook food, says ok to tent it over something in the oven to slow down the browning....I know we used to cook on it on the grill....no more that is a big no no.....love parchment paper I even wrap my pizza in it to heat in oven....no more using foil...

1/2 stick of butter or 1/2 cup?
1 stick of butter = 1/2 cup. 1/2 stick equals 1/4 cup, so I'm unsure of how much to add. Thank you! :)

Your video says to use a 12 ounce can of that braided milk but the written instructions say to use a 15 ounce can. Can you please advise on how much evaporated milk is the correct amount?

+Foods101withDeronda Please fix the written instructions. That's what I used and probably why it not only took a very long time to get to 234 degrees but also why it failed to fully setup.

Help! Deronda I have made Pb fudge from other recipes and I tried yours today. But every time I make it I fail at it. I made yours today and when I got to the last step adding the PB as I stirred it it harden. This happens to me every time I make PB. Yes I did get to the soft boil stage. Any ideas? thank you

    • @Foods101withDeronda
      @Foods101withDeronda  9 ปีที่แล้ว

Hi John, I'm not sure why your Peanut Butter Fudge is hardening while adding the PB. Although, I'll recommend using a large wooden spoon while stirring in the Peanut Butter & Marshmallow Cream at the same time. Work quickly...the Peanut Butter & Marshmallow Cream should be blended into the hot sugar mixture within 1 minutes, or sooner, after removing from heat. Wishing you much PBF success next time! ENJOY!! -Deronda :)

If the fudge does not "set" @ room temperature, you did not cook the syrup long enough.

Celeste, I have used crunchy peanut butter, with this recipe, and it is amazing. If you want larger pieces of nuts then add a 1/2 cup of chopped roasted peanuts to this recipe.
I always make different batches as some people prefer nuts and some without.
