Hey Catherine my fudge recipe is 1 can of condensed milk, and a bag of chocolate chips so easy. Before I place it in the fridge I sprinkle chopped candy canes on top, very good.

I came across your channel when looking for a caramel desert for when my older Brother (64) visited on Thanksgiving and it was a hit. For anyone interested, it's call Ritz Cracker Caramel Desert. My younger Brother (60) is coming for Christmas and wants fudge. I'm making some the old fashion way and decided to try this one too. I did two different types, the one in the video, also chocolate frosting and chunky peanut butter. So easy I made them while doing dishes. It's setting up now and I can't wait to try a few pieces for breakfast with my coffee.
I was a bit skeptical about this recipe but tried it. I split the frosting and peanut butter in half to make two kinds of fudge: peanut butter and chocolate peanut butter. Both turned out super good. They were ready to eat in 1 1/2 hours! Thanks for the recipe!
@@carlapowell9403 There's several ways to do it. The easiest way is to break the chocolate up in microwave safe bowl in small pieces so it's easier to melt, then pop it in the microwave for 15 second intervals, giving it a stir in between to help with the melting until it's smooth. I wouldn't go any farther than 15 second bursts though, because the chocolate could burn. Another way to do it, is the double boiler method. Get yourself a small saucepan of water, get it to a simmer over low heat, then place a large bowl over the water to let the steam melt the chocolate, but be aware that the water does NOT touch the bottom of the bowl, or the chocolate will burn. You should only need about an inch or so of water to do the job, won't take long at all. Once the chocolate is melted and smooth, remove it from the heat and use to your heart's content! :)

This fudge is insanely good. I used an 18 ounce jar of peanut butter I got from Wal-Mart thinking it was 16 ounces like the other brands of similar size and it still turned out beautiful. Less sweet than you'd think and more peanut butter flavor. I have to say the batch we made didn't last long. My wife is after me to make it again. Hi Catherine, thank you sincerely for this video. Your sweet disposition is an added bonus! I have used your fudge recipe before with excellent results. I have used white chocolate to decorate the top with swirls. Yesterday, I used Reese's Peanut Butter and though it tastes fantastic, it did not set up as well as Skippy and Peter Pan. Plus, I could not remove the jar cover around the edges to dispose of the remaining aluminum so had to microwave the peanut butter in a bowl. With the peanut butter, I added Heath Bits and marshmallows with salted caramel frosting. It is delicious and my husband loves the salted taste mixed in the caramel and the other ingredients. Butterscotch with the salted caramel frosting is tasteful too! If you are using a larger container, simply place in the microwave, removing the paper/foil cover, for a minute or two. Then pour 2 to 3 cups into a measuring container and place in a bowl to mix with other ingredient/ingredients.
I just went to the store and got the stuff and made this. Oh does it taste like the real old fashioned peanut butter fudge. It's so easy, but the hardest part is the waiting hehe ♥️ God bless you all.

LOL, it was hard to wait for me too.
Sure is neat never knew u could do this.
I would put chocolate chips on top,to have " Reeses flavor " fudge.

I've made this fudge but I didn't know that you could melt the peanut butter and frosting, so much easier to mix. Can't wait to see what else you come up with for the holidays.

Granola with fruits and nuts? Compared to what nuts and bolts? Dummy.

Thanks for this recipe, we will be using this for Christmas and thanksgiving. My son is on a keto diet for spine issues, to get the pressure off the spinal cord but he says that thanksgiving and Christmas is his treat time and this will definitely be part of it. Happy thanksgiving.
Huggs to your son 💕
I love this and perfect timing way before the holiday rush ( Aug 2023) apparently a repeat which is perfect gives us plenty of time to gather our ingredients ahead of time. I plan to add this to my Christmas gift baskets. Anna In Ohio
So easy and two ingredients microwaved and poured in pan and put in refrigerator for 4 to 5
5 hours.
And just think. It took 8 minutes to say what you did in 1 sentence
Looks divine…. I’m making this for my next Christmas gathering.
DEADLY YET DELICIOUSLY EASY.... Will try peanut butter with fudge frosting.
Looks fantastic. Never knew to add frosting! How nice!

It's so simple and yet so splendid! So sensical and yet I'd never thought of it myself in 100 years! Thank you for being so creative and sharing with the world. Looks amazing!
Glad you liked it!
@@CatherinesPlates I'd do the peanut butter and vanilla icing like you but I'm thinking of adding maraschino cherries....and dumping the whole jar juice and all...but using the crunchy peanut butter instead...😻💜❤️💚💛🧡
I love this fudge recipe. I am going to make some fudge.
I made it tonight right after seeing you. I used peanut butter and chocolate fudge! It's cooling! Yummy taste test. Lol! Only one home sooo...lol!
LOL, you got to test it.
Love it! The older I get the harder it is for me to do all of those things I used to do. But this is so easy I will be able to manage!
Do not feel alone on doing stuff. What took me 15 min to do, now take me 45min to do it, it seems. Depend on what I am doing. Like prepping for a recipe and cutting up everything. Very upsetting at times. But I am still blessed to be alive. Life is life and we all just have to deal with it. Merry Christmas everyone 🎅🍪🥛🤶🏽☃️🎄🎁⛄❄❄ Bonnie in Michigan.
