When my kids were little we didn't have much money. One thing we did was bake a cake and decorate it. Then we had a birthday party for Jesus! It was a low cost meaningful way to celebrate the day!

I can't tell you how much it means to me that you witness in every video! Thank you so much for sharing the love of Jesus Christ! As each year passes I love Him even more! When my children were young I gave them lavish Christmas gifts. I now believe that was the wrong way to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. As every parent, when the kids are young, you just want to give them everything. I always instilled faithfulness to God and going to church. But what is the most important thing is to have a personal relationship with Jesus! Thank you for sharing your recipes and taking time to show us the process. God bless you!❤🙏😘🍽

I wish more folks were like you. The Bible says to seek ye first the Kingdom of God...and that is exactly what you do. My hubby fell last Nov 1st and suffered a severe spinal cord injury and broken neck. He has been in & out of hospitals and rehabs for the past year. I didn't get to be with him on Thanksgiving because the facility he's in now has an outbreak of covid/flu. He was the only one who didn't contract covid, but there were lots of prayers going up for him. I prayed specifically God's hedge of protection around him and His precious blood covering him to keep him well. Now, there are 2 more that are negative now. He tried to be home with home health care twice but he couldn't get the full amount of care he needed & I wasn't able to do for him. I've been disabled since I was 37 & I'm 65 now. He was the one who took care of me and did everything here from cooking to laundry and everything in between. Now I'm alone & as it is right now he will never be able to leave the facility unless God performs the miracle we're all praying for. He's very weak, is incontinent in both areas and has a permanent Foley catheter that is changed each month. He has no control of the other. Therapy tries to work with him, sitting him up in bed & if he feels up to it they will stand him up beside his bed for a few minutes. They have to use a hoist to get him in a wheelchair or in the geri-chair to change his position. He has no use of his left arm & hand, and he's left-handed. He's had to learn to eat with his right hand and can use his cellphone but struggles. His food has to be cut up for him cause he lost several teeth after the fall. We are not allowed to visit for at least a week to 10 days, the man in the room with him is still positive. Hubby was checked again today and is still negative! Praise God! I am struggling now with 2 spinal fractures, one compressed my discs in my lumbar spine. I have trouble walking, standing, sitting & even laying for any length of time. I've gone thru 3 spinal injections & will go Dec 7th for my spine pain dr to try one more. She said my last MRI showed no more fractures, even tho I've fallen twice, but the stenosis has gotten a lot worse. It causes me to lose my balance, makes it very painful to stand or walk. I have to use a walker. We desperately need prayer. I've been subscribed to you for a long time but just never commented. But for some reason the Lord put it on my heart to tell you our situation and ask for prayers. I need God's direction & guidance as I want to sell our house which is way too much for me. Only thing, hubby is on medicaid and that usually makes selling a home very complicated. Our son wants to buy it & move me to a smaller place which is what I want to do. Just please pray that God will show me the right thing to do. I'm really struggling. Seems like all I do is cry and pray. I was drawn to your channel by your love of God and how strong your faith has been even since the loss of your hubby. So, please will you pray for us that God will work all this out in His way? I'd appreciate it so very much. I always enjoy watching you, the scriptures you mention & the love of God you have in your heart. I'm sorry this is so long but I felt strongly I needed to tell you this. Thank you in advance for your prayers and I pray God blesses you immensely! Blessings from VA! ✝️🙏📖🫶💗

That is so sad… May God’s Peace and Love surround you this holiday season! I know how that pain feels. I lost my oldest daughter, two sisters and two brothers all in a close range of time… Holidays are definitely not holidays anymore but I do keep my heart and mind on Christ… The real reason for the season… He sustains me and His precious blood covers my sins everyday, His Mercy is new every day… And because of this, we will see our family again… And that keeps me going… For each day is one day closer to being with our loved ones again! 🙏🏼❤️🤗❤️🙏🏼 Merry Christmas from Avon, Ohio… By the way, my youngest daughter lives in Quebec… Canada is beautiful!

I made this over the holidays with homemade, sweetened condensed milk, & it turned out so amazing.
I didn't want to wait for it to cool between layers (especially since my homemade milk was hot & ready to melt the chips), so I just placed the parchment paper down, rolled the 1st layer between 2 sheets, slid the 1st layer from the pan, added parchment again, rolled the 2nd layer between 2 sheets & rolled/removed too, then I placed the 1st layer back in the pan, removed the top parchment, removed layer 2s bottom parchment, added layer 2 to layer 1& pressed the layers together... they were still warm, so they welded together great & were easy to handle this way.
After pressing together, I rolled, & then let cool before cutting!
Such an amazing treat everyone loved, & I was able to save quite a bit making the milk myself, since I couldn't find it in my pantry & wasn't trekking out to the store again... LOL!

My daddy was a good old "hillbilly" from Cuba, Missouri, a country boy who raised me and my brother (born with Down's syndrome) with love and kindness and was a really, really good man! I miss him every day since he passed away in 1994. I love hearing your testimony and the way you give such great advice. This looks so yummy! I think when I make it I will do the second layer on top of the first with a layer of paper between. When it is all spread out I'll just flip it over before rolling. Knowing my rate of mistakes this will just ensure success in the end product.
My Christmas is totally different from the way it's always been. I've always been blessed with the most loving, close Christian family. Yet for the last 9 years everything has changed so much. For the first time ever there is division between all family members and my health has taken a plunge. God has blessed me with still having a great relationship with Daddy, my kids & grandchildren. We are largely divided by miles but the love is strong. My son still lives with me and is my caretaker. Without having any gatherings it makes it easier to keep my focus of Christmas on the blessing of the birth of our Savior! It was difficult to look at it this way for a while but if I keep my focus in the right spot I can see how God truly has the perfect plan for me ! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas season full of the love of our amazing Lord & Savior!

After ensuring the layers were pressed together, I rolled the layers up into the log like on the video, & then let cool before cutting!
Such an amazing treat everyone loved, & I was able to save quite a bit making the milk myself, since I couldn't find it in my pantry & wasn't trekking out to the store again... LOL!

I’m going to try this, but I think I will spread each layer in separate pans and chill just long enough so the layers will stick once put together, then roll! TFS! After seeing you trying to roll, I’m using non-stick reynolds wrap and hope that makes it easier to roll!

My Aunt Maggie told me the easiest softest best fudge recipe there is and there's only two ingredients you buy a bag of cream drops and you add butter then melt it in the microwave spread it on wax paper in a square container put in the refrigerator and that's it ❤my mother didn't believe me that it would be so good cuz she loved fudge but she did it the old-fashioned hard way and when I made it like that she made it that way for the rest of her life she never made it any different she said it was the best fudge she ever had ❤ and it's cheap also the cream drops are usually about $2 a bag and just a little butter God bless and hope somebody tries it
And please call it Aunt Maggies Fudge ❤

I used to get the same thing for many years ... Whenever I got a cold or anything, my throat would always get the brunt of it ... either laryngitis or a cough for months & months. It's gotten better now that I take Airborne every day! That hasn't happened for years. Feel better... Great easy recipe!

Thank you dear sweet lady. I'm so glad to see you are doing ok. With all your lovely well explained recipes! My grandaddy made the fudge every year the old fashioned way too. Ive made it when I was way younger lol. When I started working full time and had my daughter to support I kinda took the easy way. Now its my adult grandkids I'm wanting to cook with...or at least for. Im not so well anymore but I still get excited if I can make food and everyone eats or sneaks😊 really been realizing that time is running out for me at 63. I want them to have a few really special memories and no big messes to clean up! Hoping my oldest gson will come visit at some point this month. His bday is New Years Eve. 2021 was a very hard year for us as well. My Mama passed from cancer. She was in hospice and her last year stuck there. We couldnt visit only call or a couple times they brought her out on the veranda. My Mama was very devout. So were her parents that we lost many years ago...and my Daddy passed then too. My oldest bro passed from horrible years of being paralyzed from an operation mistake. My youngest bros wife went to lie down in her daughters bed and she found her Mom had passed. Out of the blue. Thank God it was her oldest who had the strength to help the rest of the kids etc. We even lost all 3 of our elderly dogs as did one of my other bros. Just seems like EVERYONE has been hurt and drained so much these last few years. And as in the Bible its not going away anytime soon I fear. Everything is happening faster and faster. It's hard not to be afraid. I thank you for always reminding us of how blessed we are and what we need to do to prepare. I'm trying to get back to my roots. My Mother was the organist back in the day. Piano and flower arrangements too. Gosh how I miss them all💔 Just like I know how hard it is for you. Im so glad we both have family to lean on as well as our faith. Btw my Grandad always put cinnamon in his fudge😍🙏🏼🕊️
