If your water pump is dripping from the tell tale holes of the pump body, you need to replace the 2 seals. This video shows you how to do this relatively easy job
Great tutorial, just worth mentioning though that there are two kinds of water seal that could potentially be needed depending on the age of the engine - 124240-91450 or 128170-42120. The first part number is a single lip seal, the latter double lip. Functionally the same but big difference in how easy they are to fit!
Fantastic demo. I just did the replacement and it worked like a charm. The only difference is I was scared to clean the volute with a screwdriver as you did. I used a brass rod instead. Thank you for sharing.
Great video! I was wondering if you can remove the pump without pumping out the oil out of the engine. I thought it was all oil behind the inner gasket.
Great video, thanks for posting! I was wondering if you might have the part numbers for the two oil seals? Having trouble identifying them. Thanks in advance!
Hi I have removed the old seals. But for the life of me I can't get the new smaller one in. Despite watching your video. It does have a small spring type washer in should that be there? Regards Barry

Check the pump shaft for a wear grove from the lip on the seal. If your thumb nail catches as you slide it across the SS shaft it replace the shaft..

Thank you. I just changed mine, and your video was very helpful :-)
Thanks! Good

Hi, where did you get all the replacement parts for this yanmar engine. I'm trying to find a cheaper place to get all that than West Marine

Hi, I see a Cam mentioned on the schematic; my pump does not have this, whats the significance.
I have to do this, Should The engine be empty for oil before pulling this off?
The seals don’t really pop out. If they are old they fall apart.
Hi how did you actually remove the old seals?
would have been good if you had shown clearly which direction the seals go in as they can go either way ,, quite important ,, the rest is easy !!
just use Avasva Solutions :)))
How to remove the old seal was a nightmare and unfortunately it is not shown on the video.
