@@colinporteousguitar2927 I get to see what I have to do and can plan and prepare ahead, and it also helps me locate things better. My engine has also quite a bit of fly rost on top of it so I am not always sure about where the parts are located that I need. Your videos are the very best thing right after someone showing you how to do it right on the boat.
Where did you find the sealing gasket and washer? Did they come with the anode? If so, who did you purchase it from? I ordered the anode, but it arrived without the gasket and washer unfortunately.
all of these 1GM10 videos are very helpful. Thank you!
Your videos are pure gold for everyone owning a 1gm10.
Glad you find them useful.

Your welcome
Does anyone know if that is the only anode? The guy who sold me the new part seemed to think there were 2 anodes on the 1gm10?

Washer came with anode, gasket separately. believe they were from www.bottomlinemarine.com/
Wow good video thanks. Is it same location on 2gm ?
Not exactly. 2GM has two, one on the cylinder head (back of engine) and the other on the cylinder block (left, above the dipstick)
Can you tell me where you purchased the replacement? I'm hitting a wall looking at West Marine, Defender, etc.
try www.keypart.com/yanmar/diesel-engine/1gm10/
Thank you so much sir!
This helped me too, thanks so much!
How many hours or what time frame should the anode be exchanged? Thanks!
Personally, I check it every engine service (100 hrs or annually, whichever comes first)
Check yearly
greatings or saludos or "Grüße"
good video , never even knew there was one ..... get your self some ratchet spanners
Silverline do a folding ratchet 10mm spanner that allows you to do this job without removing the alternator 😃
My dealer says that I don't need to change thed washer and plate every time. Only the anode What are your experience with that.
Depends on the washer condition I suppose!, but I always fit a new gasket.
Good video but you can say a few words would be better.
