You’ve just convinced me to bite the financial bullet and buy a complete spare pump before I go offshore again.

After two days of spraying penetrating oil on that nut you struggled I was able to unscrewed it with ease. I feel like some kind of hero.😂.
Thank you for all your videos and hard work involved. Great job.

Is this one of those moments you find out it’s a reverse thread? 🤣🤣 Great stuff Dean. Glad to see a proper pro struggles like the rest of us 👍🫣

I'm doing the next one stood on a wobbly plank while someone throws salt water in my eyes.

Nope. The reverse thread nut is on the inside/behind the pulley. btw he should have used a ring spanner instead of adjustable spanner.

Hi. Just watched your very useful video on disassembly of water pump. Thanks! I cannot find a reassembly video. Can you please let me have a link to it? Cheers!

Hi Julian, unfortunately, the pressures of running a small business mean I don't have a lot of time and haven't quite got around to doing the assembly video yet. Hopefully soon.

Is there a video of putting this bad boy together? I got this job ahead of me....soon.

Really useful video, thanks. How about one on splitting an ancient Aquadrive (and reassembling it)?

Where is your can of penetrating oil?

On the shelf, where it belongs. 40 years of disassembling marine engines, pumps and gearboxes has taught me when it will be effective and when it won't. Once you've had 10,000 things apart, you'll know when to use it and when not to bother. :-)

I'm sure worse things happen at sea.
