yeh but Carlo as good as he is, is not too open or responsive and as human as this guy is, lets be real here. Too many politics involved in the DJ community in Philippines. Sanaall
Is' always a great pleasure to watch your tutorials. You spread so much good vibes while you explaining. Thank you for all the free lessons so far. If I ever will buy a course, yours will be the one to go for!
Awesome tutorial. It's totally about being humble. Too many DJ's want to show you EVERY single function and effect in the 1st 3 songs. Just let the music play, I came here to dance.
I love the laid back style this man has to explain the tricks and tips in his videos. Kinda reminds me of Matthew Mcconaughey as a surfer :) I mean this the best possible way
Andrew genuinely has fun with his method of teaching. . and this is why I bought his course. I’ll probably never play a club ( think of DJ Nussbaum advert a few years ago) but the personal satisfaction of being able to “hang with the beat” is my goal. . . aaaand his methodology really clicks. disclaimer: NOT a paid shill. : )
Dude your channel is gold. Even when I watch one that's explaining stuff I've already got down you've got another way of explaining it. Really digging your stuff.
Am just learning on an flx4 and just cant get the hang of loops. I can set it, but getting out of it and seamlessly dropping the next track is eluding me for now. I think this video may have taught me it
i posted a blind mix up on facebook and i got the biggest amount of stick over it because it had a few mistakes on it and also because i downloaded the full playlist 10mins before starting the mix apparentlly picking songs you like from other ppls mixes isnt handpicking tunes because i didnt spend hours and hours searching for tracks. they were completely ignoring the fact it was my first mix in 20yrs my first time using a controller i wanted my mix too reflect that ,thats why i did a blind mix and didnt edit out my little mistakes.
Would love a video with more details of how you determine when to release a loop. For example at 22:50, you release the losing it loop so that the two drops line up. How do you work that out ?
He goes over it in some videos on this channel and in his course but it's all about phrasing. If you know that each phrase is going to likely be 32 beats, and he had a 4 bar loop that ends 4 bars before the drop, he'd exit the loop during bar 1-4 so that the last phrase lines up together.
We'd love another 3 deck tech house set too! Honestly, I learn the most watching full length sets. I like downloading the tracks and following your lead recreating the set. Thanks for all you do bro🙏🏻
I have to say this to you. Thank you SO MUCH for your videos. I’ve been really trying to get better for about six weeks now and your videos are the reason for my progress. I took collection of my new FLX10 this week, so now it’s time to get serious!! Massive thanks from the UK!! x
Gosh I love you man, I literally started about 3-4 months Ago on my 1st deck which is Flx4. Your videos and energy feels like your pushing me further in this game. Thank you, made my decission last week that im going to buy your course. The way of sharing your knowledge is perfect, keep going. And see you on course!! Melodic techno in my heart 4life
Love watching people who love what they do! I'm a little bit in, so have a basic understanding of these concepts but the way you explain them sparks ideas and makes it fun to watch.. Great work! 🙌
took your course and watched plenty of your videos, this is my favorite. You gave more examples in this which is what I look for but you were also comfortable and fun.
You are absolutely the best! Thank you for sharing your vast knowledge with us. I have been dj'ing since 1990 and your videos help me become a better dj every time I watch,
Sometimes I find myself in a rut when several tracks in a row have been in the same key so I'll use loops from an incoming track to bring in a track that would normally clash if mixed in too far. Basic maybe, but great for getting out of a rut without needed too much trickeration.
My sister just got a DDJ 200 for her birthday! I was shocked at the lack of some features from the ddj 400 like looping in and out or changing performance pad modes... but i will definitely be recommending her your channel so that she can learn!
Man, I just finished my beginner course and I learned so much watching you as well cause your explanations are top notch! Can’t wait to go to the studio and practice your methods🤪
Unrelated to this (awesome, as always) video but do you have any experience using Allen & Heath DJ mixers? I used a Pioneer mixer for the first time last year and found the whole EQing experience to be very different to what I’m used to. A video about the differences between the two would be amazing!
How critical is this? Is this something I should always do? I do feel like when im only playing in key I might be sounding bland and only playing it safe and leaving out any creativity.
I have issues getting my timing right with exiting loops sometimes, id love a part II.. This was helpful, thanks again for sharing your wisdom my friend 🙏🏻Be easy
i´m 9 months late but I hope I can still help. If you have timing issues try to do some rhythm exercises with a metronome app. Try to count in your head while listening to the metronome, and then progress to hitting a pen on the table on beat, then go faster and faster. Basically do some beginner drummer exercises. Do them 15 minutes a day, every day for one month, and you should be good!
Hey brother, i love your videos and im learning a lot from you but my big question is : how do you make your jug wheel sound like that when you spin it back the way you did? Thanks a lot for your time
I always appreciate your concise, professional and friendly style. Great videos. I like that they're generally aimed at the more intermediate level too.
Luv the video andrew definitely do some more. I love the course my brother watching these free videos lead me into getting the course and my whole outlook on djing has changed Its all I look forward to doing. ❤️
Recently got back into mixing after well over a decade, I used to have CDJ-1000's 👀. I was never really that good however and promised I'd learn properly this time, one more payment towards my monitors and I'm going to start your course 👍
@@ClubReadyDJSchool Man of my word, I purchased. The course is excellent! Very thorough but broken down into manageable pieces. Your reaching style is very chill and engaging. Setting up my decks tomorrow and that's when I will be getting into the meat of the course. 🙏🏾

I appreciate that!

11:20 loop exiting track to draw out transition
13:06 loop to create a climax
16:51 loop incoming track to tease it
20:21 looping into the drop
This guy is sooo much better than any other DJ teachers on TH-cam
aww thanks man I really appreciate that x

Best tutorial I’ve seen so far, thanks breaking things down to make it look fun.
The highpass on a loop was really cool, didn't think of that one! Thanks dude!
This is great. Love how your vibving while explaining... as a dj of 30yrs these are dope mix examples too!
I appreciate that!

Could you do a video on adding fx and types of beat fx on different aspects of a song such as transitioning on vocals or swapping bass?

You can midi assign the bottom pads of the DDJ-200 to your Loop In Out, Half and Exit. All from RB

You might want to watch him while drunk...... you will enjoy him and forget what he said like i did while i was drunk!
It's really important to make sure you're mixing in key for a smoother mix! Excellent work and techniques Bro!
How critical is this? Is this something I should always do? I do feel like when im only playing in key I might be sounding bland and only playing it safe and leaving out any creativity.
