Black Friday Sale now live: www.clubreadydjschool.com/club-ready-dj-course/ I'm so proud to say I've added so much new content to my courses - I have been devoting so much love and energy to it these past few months, hopefully you like :)
So true! I play techno, but at some point had to incorporate some pop tunes from the radio, cause not everyone enjoys techno as much as I do. But after all it is good, cause you can learn new things. It is also some kind of a development, cause you become a better DJ if you can mix different songs and not only stay in your techno - or whatever music you play - comfort zone. Peace to everyone!
@@radosawkowalski2237 Dave Dresden talks about this. He started livestreaming since COVID killed the Gabriel & Dresden Remedy tour, and now Dave plays trance AND techno, because he slowly realized that unlike the clubs, his audience is just here for a good time and we don't care where the genres go. I actually love how a lot of DJs can play more of whatever they want now, cause I've seen some REALLY creative sets
Many DJ tutorials explain the "how", but not many explain the "why" and "when" you should use certain techniques. Your tutorials are by far the most comprenshive and well explained of any I've come across. Great job!
i rarely leave comments on here, but you’re such a great and engaging teacher! it’s truly a pleasure to listen to you and get motivated by your energy and the way you explain in such a natural manner as if you’re talking to a friend
Wow! The first video I’ve actually understood, I’ve watched hundred of transition vids on yt, by far the best one, I’m currently learning and wanting to get into the club gigs, this is massive for me. Thankyou so much
Ive been doing this stuff for over a decade. I deeply love music and try to learn from anyone and everyone. Hearing this guy discuss his views on how transitions work for him was soothing, fun review, and entertaining. You can feel and hear his passion for music. I hope I never loose it. Cheers & stay safe yall.
Unreal man! Just started with a controller one of the better tutorials I’ve seen. So many cheesy dj tutorials on TH-cam, you’re actually down to earth genuine (not a wank) Just subscribed keep it up!
Dude! This is brilliant. I was a self taught DJ in the early 90's (way before the internet). Learnt how to beat match on 1210's and was basically banging them in one after another without a thought of transition. I've just got back into it after many years and realised very soon how difficult the transition is. You've opened my eye's! Your passion for this has spurred me on to continue and practise more and going to head over to your site for the full course! Keep up the great work fella!
Dude, you are a legend. I was a small venue club DJ back in the day, so i know tune arrangement and when and where to mix. But now, just watching this 25 minute video, you have totally changed my method of transitioning from one track to another. Now you have shown me how to properly use the EQ's, my mixes are cleaner and quicker. Thank you very much.
Still can't believe that these valuable lessons are on youtube, seriously, thank you so so much, this is unreal, thank you for your energy, for lessons, for everything, you deserve the very best, i love you brother, thank you again!!!!
I often find myself doing the loop in loop out method because it allows me to play around and create in my mind my own edits that are unique sounding but in doing so I feel like I am not playing enough songs in my time slot. These videos are so freaking helpful man thank you!
You have cleared almost all of my doubts I had from years not just this video but I almost followed all your videos, and offcoarse your happiest face and positivity reflects in my learning as well, cheers and love 🇮🇳 🇳🇱
The most positive and genuine passion for what you do.... translates so so well into your teaching, what you say in these videos just makes so much darn sense! And even when it’s a little confusing you back it right up with a perfect example, thankyou so much for these videos they’re by far the best on this whole internet
As a new DJ, I've been trying my best to get better at freestyle transitioning. I play a lot of local clubs and am expected to take requests, so it can be a challenge coming up with interesting transitions between songs you aren't super familiar with and also are all over the place. Love the positivity and I agree, as long as the audience enjoys the music, you are a good DJ. But a GREAT DJ will be the full package, unique mixes, good selection, and a performer too
I was this guy 100%... deep house dj that couldn't stop mixing for 8-16 bars. I couldn't mix something with a drop or a cut as it just didn't feel right. This guy has nailed it exactly with his trigger mixing
You are a role model for all DJs man! I'm just starting out. Your ability to engage and just keep it real is what I love about your videos the most, and obviously you are a boss on the deck. Would love to just have a beer with you and talk music! Wishing you the best
I love how much your love for your work comes through when you're talking about the different techniques, just super positive energy and a joy to listen to, thank you for being so real and genuine!
Honestly, lining up those loops so I get the right exit point for the drops I want is the most challenging thing...Especially on impromptu sets where I'm just playing and haven't prepared anything. When I do prepare music I sometimes set cue points on track A so I know where I want to enter and exit the loop on track B. I find that this is a neat little trick when you need to hit that drop perfectly.
This was my first video I saw of your channel. I instantly became a fan of yours. You have made DJing look so easy which it isn’t. Thank you 😊 I have been following many other DJ school and Tips channel on you tube but I would like to say yours is the best. Your biggest fan from India 🇮🇳

My friend was working at a local radio station and passively i grew up with mastering song selection. years pass by and i was Djing with him and later i went to University. For side money i went to look for clubs to Dj. i found one but it was only the days per week in the middle of the week left from the main dj who was there full time. I got my big break and push the other DJ out because of my music selection. Yes you are right. Music selection its king.
Been a djay 30years but only really learnt mixing over the last 10 years ,,,Ive found myself playing a lot of dirty tunes ,all different styles ,it’s so much fun ,especially when just messing about as I get more creative and occasionally that really comes out when playing live ,I’m 20 mins I and I’ve not learnt much but sure as enjoying you’re style of teaching
