Found your channel from a video that popped up on my recommended, and dude your teaching style is incredible. Two videos in and I've learned so much. Gold!
Andrew - love your course start to finish. I’ve gotten a ton better and right when I’m trying to put my first mix together this video addressed a lot of problems I’m having making it better. Keep it up - thanks!

This is all such amazing content. Thank you for what you’re doing! And you’re so damn fun to watch!! I love how much you love what you do - can see you get excited when you mix and it’s infectious
Another great video! If you’re hesitant to get his course, don’t. It helped me get over some of the dj challenges I had. Bonus: you get to be involved in a super active / supportive discord tribe! Thank you, Andrew!
i would love to meet this guy buy him a drink n just talk mixing as someone just getting into it theres so much to tackle but im loving it the more i learn
i got a the pioneer DD4 and i already have a dj gig in 5 weeks now. I bought your course, im an absolute beginner. I am hoping i will be DJ ready in 4 weeks!
Yes yes, EQing fist off- Then effects and if necessary you should use stems-swap-Drop+ more effects loop+drop when you land try mixing in key to start your next track within 60 seconds. Let's go! 🥁❤️🔥✌️
Good stuff! I’m just getting into the whole dj thing and I like to listen to mainly rnb, rap, and hip hop from the 90 and up and I was having this issue. I figured I was moving too slow but this confirms it. Thanks again man!
This is the one I needed! In uptempo with 200+ bpm and vocals in de drops and end of phrasing I need to quick transition. Ive seen all you video's and the all helped me. This one was the cherry on the cake. Thanks mate keep on going, and I'll keep learning!❤
You’re the best man, always so positive and such a great energy, hallelujah!! I also have to brag about your knowledge and dedication, your ability to teach, the world need more people like you. Big hug from Norway!
Two important takeaways with this video. Training your ear to know the frequencies thus knowing when to EQ more aggressively than other times + phrasing. As a fellow graduate of your course those two points of interest are key and take time! Cheers to you Andrew!
It's amazing that just a few months ago I was watching your videos and still didn't really understand how to mix properly and now all I see you doing are things that I use in my djing with no prob 😁 thank you for doing what you're doing, great work 😊
Hey Andrew. First, thank you for the content you provide for the community. A few videos back you mentioned about how you prep on your computer rather than on gear. Maybe a video on how you prep would be nice. Thanks mate. 🤙
It’s just a huge coincidence but I am also on cdj 900s Love all your vids! Recent one on drugs was spot on too. Definitely going to take a course! You seem like a great teacher and dude in general! 👌🏻
Ive learned so much from your videos, your so inspiring and so easy to follow and understand. Having so much fun mixing after a few weeks learning. Defo gonna dive into the course. Mostly cause id love any feedback from the guru
You often apologize for plugging your course but you shouldn’t feel bad at all for it. It’s truly comprehensive and very much worth the value! I often impress my friends on how well I DJ with the EQ but I honestly owe it to your lessons that were very well taught! 🫶
Class advice as always mate. I just all a sudden whilst mixing took your approach on the EQ like my head just did it automatically and I thought holy shit Andrew was right with the EQ now it’s made as habit and instilled in me and your style is by far the best way imo. Great advice mate 👍
a chop on the one can avoid clashes .Making an edit so you can mix on the outro but do not play the whole song which could drain the energy from the floor.Using cue points or having tracks flipped with serato which is like making an edit or using loops to extend intros outros or instrumental sections or just knowing the structure of the tunes you are using so you can use these tools more effectively and then of course there is stems.....
on that first mix i might use an echo out or a filter as i am taking the first track out or the one i am bring in is looped so i can time the loop to stop at the right moment as a mixthe first track out Where there is a danger of clashing vocals a looped intro can be useful..just remember to take the loop off once the mix is done
Only been djing for almost 5 months, a friend has been teaching me and I use your videos as a reference. My skills have improved very quickly. Further down the road would you recommend the cdj 900 nexus or xdj 1000 mk2? Currently on a denon sc live 2 and hoping to get 3 years of usage before getting anything else.
The difference in your videos and other content creators… is that you don’t talk to us like we are just an audience with canned phrases and faked enthusiasm. You talk to us like you’re having a conversation with us. And that goes a long way.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I can't believe I watched this entire video and there was NO mention of the elephant in the room. The being STEMs tied into your mixer. They give the flexibility to do SOOOO much with your mixes and they will only get better.
I thought I did mention this or perhaps I mentioned it in an earlier video promoting this one, either way, you are right, stems clean things up big time, yet stems on club gear, unless you are wanting to use club gear like a controller, is not really a. thing yet. So good t know both ways I believe.
What do you think about turning off the vocal stems on the old track to stop the vocals from clashing? Is it another legit method of doing this or is it just not great bc of how stems sound still?
I’m just learning to beat match by ear but I’m struggling, by the time I have matched both songs the vocal on the incoming song has already started and it doesnt sound good, is this just a case of practicing to get quicker or is there a way you can give yourself more time like looping the intro of the next song maybe?
6:10 how do you line up the tracks like that though? how do you know the track you're bringing in is exactly 16 bars away for example? seems like a scramble to do while the other track is moving
@@ClubReadyDJSchool If I set a queue point 8 bars before the drop on every song that I have, it will help a lot. For some reason I thought it would be useless, thinking that adjusting the bpm would make the points not line up well with another song even though its beatmatched. well, time to download mixed in key lol. Thanks for the reply!!!!!!!!!
High pass + bass out is so simple yet so effective, fire tip!
From teacher to teacher, you are a great communicator!
lol "get out of jail free card" with the high pass and taking down the bass, so true. excellent video as always!
The best teacher, the best dj school by far!
Always to the point without bells and whistles.
Thank you very much 🙏 I have learn to munch for you!
I wish you always be well and healthy!
P.s. excuse me for my English.

Andrew - love your course start to finish. I’ve gotten a ton better and right when I’m trying to put my first mix together this video addressed a lot of problems I’m having making it better. Keep it up - thanks!
Thanks Max
I've started mixing high pass filter with STEMs echo voice out and it allows for more extended mixes on most hip hop and pop music really cleanly.
Thanks so much for all the stuff you put out, Andrew. The energy you put into these guides is always super uplifting and makes learning so much easier. Keep up the good work!
just played my first set last night and everything I know is from your course and videos. thanks for helping me get club ready:))

The course is good and fairly priced. You are right, I have yet to find as in depth eq videos as you have in your course. Well done.

He already done it....

Good point…😊
Bro can you give a little video of playing with 4 dec together ❤
Awesome material!
Thank you
i saw a kitty tail twice!! if I sign up for the course can I see the kitty? lol :D
I use stems and remove the vocal then echo out the melody, leaving the drums....then mix.
Legend! Love ya
Whats the track id of the hard techno track you mixed inn? Lit af
Doesn't the high pass filter remove the bass anyway?
Thats why I love mixing techno. No vocals so you can mix everywhere you want in theory 😂

Do I need a Pioneer controller to do the courses? I have Traktor :/

100% loop the intro! watch my video called phrasing and pro level looping on my channel :)
yeah so like i thought filter or echo on some mixes can be helpful
Hi, which one do you recommend for quality and performance between RX3 and XZ?
Both are great to learn on but I'd prefer personally the XZ over the RX3
Hi, I checked your gear but it does not seem to have hot cue buttons. How do you activate hot cues? or am I missing something??
My gear doesn't have hot cues, if I want to use hot cues, I use my controllers xx

Haha my bestie!!
I cant get my Beatport free trial to work on my Virtual Dj can anyone give advice please ?
